Not extremely happy about this being the next single, because it's one of my least favourites on the album. But- since I like every song on the album, I also like this one too. I hope after single release it'll grow me more, though.

Great single. I would scared to death she would ruin her era with Army.

i killed this off my chart because i thought "army" was the next single, then this gets announced while "army" is climbing. This is the reason why I was waiting until there were further information about which track was going to be released next. However, you're not totally wrong. Ellie was talking to Max on Capital FM yesterday and it was revealed there that "Army" will be the next single. That said, "Something In the Way You Move" is still on PlayIGA's Top 40 playlist, so unless there's a new change, there will be a split release. Not the best scenario in my opinion, but since I prefer this one over "Army", I really hope this happens.

While I agree that a split release might not be the best scenario, but Something In The Way You Move will definitely do eons better than Army, especially in the US imo. I mean, Army had several high-profile performances and it did absolutely nothing for the song. Actually, I'm surprised they're still going with it in the UK, tbh. While Army is good, it is like an ugly sister and less catchy version to LMYLD.

If this is the next single, then she's releasing the best single in her career so far.

I love this! It's so dreamy. It's a 'little sister' song to "Love Me Like You Do". I prefer this over "Army" as a single.

For what it's worth, "Army" is this week's #57 song at pop radio. 218 spins from 42 stations (40 new ones).
That suggests that to me that a lot of PDs are still under the impression "Army" is the new single.

Army is like LMLYD's ugly sister - so freaking true. It also highlights how her voice is among the weakest out there right now.

I hope this does not mean that they're going with Army after all. I really do think it'd be a bad idea if they switched it again back to Army when SITWY has the greater potential and is one of the obvious, bigger smashes on the album. Delirium, as an era has not been truly successful in the US and I believe Army will ruin the era altogether, while SITWY would probably keep it alive, tbh.

Army is LMLYD part 2 and SITWYM is another desperate attempt of an easy hit that makes OMM sound experimental.

Seriously, this is a mess. Interscope needs to make a decision ASAP and I assume they are going to do it tomorrow at the very least because of the holidays.
That said, I have to be honest that I wasn't expecting to see "Army" to be sucked into the Top 60, although I saw that there are a lot of starters for it, which isn't too good if Interscope still wants "Something In the Way You Move" to be pushed as the next single (in the US).
On the other side, aside WAPE-FM which has been spinning the track the last few days as it was previously mentioned, I only saw that there's a starter for it and it's KAMP-FM, so it's good to see that a big station is behind it so far.

Something In The Way You Move is now the first track on the Top 40 Playlist on IGA (previously was the sixth). Does the move mean anything? Are they going to push it starting immediately?
I'm also secretly thrilled that they haven't replaced the track back to Army even if its is #57 this week on Mediabase T40.

I'm also secretly thrilled that they haven't replaced the track back to Army even if its is #57 this week on Mediabase T40. It's certainly not a bad sign that the playlist was shifted, but it's clear nothing represents confirmation until it gets an actual entry on the Play IGA website. The Army thing is also just so weird. It's not as if the song was getting a moderate amount of lingering airplay and then got sucked into the Top 60 due to recurrent removals; almost all of its airplay was new last week. It went from like #216 to #57 and 40 of the 42 stations that played it were new supporters. It was a textbook "this is the new single" kind of jump. And all of that happened *after* PlayIGA had already made the Army-SITWYM change on its playlist.

I hope they keep "Something In The Way You Move" as the next single. Though after listening to "Army" it's not as bad as I thought it was when I first saw her perform it at the "Victoria Secret Fashion Show". I'm not the typical Ellie fan. "On My Mind" is BY FAR my favorite song that has released.

FINALLY!
Glad to see that the US picked correctly this time and, at least, it makes up the "Goodness Gracious" switch two years ago.

Good.
I think they didn't release GG here because they figured it would interfere with LMLYD since her songs were kind of notorious for rising really slowly. I like this even better so I hope it charts as well as I think GG would have.

I'm actually of the belief that Don't Panic would have been the best choice for the next single, but this is a much better choice than Army imo.
This took a few listens to really hit me, but I love it now. It fits right in with Hold On, We're Going Home/DWUW/LMH/In The Night/etc. modernized Miami Vice prowl sound, so a big thumbs up from me.

I like this even better so I hope it charts as well as I think GG would have. It wasn't really because of the timing. LMLYD was released in February 2015 and GG was released WW in February 2014. I believe they released I Need Your Love (dual release with Calvin Harris) and then Beating Heart (soundtrack single for Divergent, which flopped) in the favor of this. Thrilled about the official confirmation! I cannot wait for this to start smashing!

I heard this on the radio yesterday and the station I caught it on had upped the volume on the bass line and it emphasized that Miami Vice feeling. It was just a small change, but it made a big difference IMO (in a good way). It made an already great song sound even greater
