twenty one pilots "Ride" their way to #1, Ariana Grande debuts in the top 10 again, 2 hip hop songs in top 10

Welcome back to the thread! This week is a very important week. It's the 52nd week of Season 2. There were 3 songs that managed to stay from week 1 to week 52 without dropping out: "Thinking Out Loud", "Trap Queen", and "Where Are U Now". Congratulations to 3 songs for making chart history. Let's see which of those 3 will stay on the chart longer (For now, I think the obvious answer would be Thinking Out Loud, but we'll see)

So, now that I covered that, let's check out this week's top 10. Starting off with a new #1, "Ride". It moves up from #2 because of the fall of "Write On Me". This now becomes twenty one pilots' 2nd #1 hit. Also, this means that both of their top 10 hits reached #1.

Oh, and speaking of "Write On Me", it falls from #1 to #2 after starting off this week really well but then collapsing near the end of the week. We'll see how this affects next week.

twenty one pilots' "Stressed Out" moves back up from #4 to #3. This means that twenty one pilots have 2 songs in the top 3 simultaneously!

Down to #4 (from #3) is Mike Posner's "I Took A Pill In Ibiza (SeeB Remix)". Justin Timberlake's new hit single, "CAN'T STOP THE FEELING!" stays at its debut position of #5.

Ariana Grande debuts at #6 (same position that "Into You" debuted last week) with a new album track that she released from her "Dangerous Woman" album (which came out on May 20th and will affect the May 29th chart), titled "Sometimes". This is her 5th top 10 debut in just 3 months, she is on fire right now (not literally, lol).

Up to #7, from #9, is Desiigner's "Panda". Ariana Grande's "Into You" falls to #8 from its debut position of #6. ZAYN continues to fall as "PILLOWTALK" falls 7-9, let's see if he can stay in the top 10 despite Ariana's new album.

Debuting at #10 is Kent Jones' "Don't Mind". This is now the 2nd hip-hop/rap song in the top 10 at the moment.

#17. MadeInTYO - "Uber Everywhere" (Debuts at #17 with just 2 days of points. Would've easily been top 10 this week if it started getting points on Friday instead of Wednesday)

Ariana Grande wrecks the chart, twenty one pilots stay at #1, new hip-hop/rap song in the top 10

So, this was a crazy week (as expected) because of Ariana Grande's new album, "Dangerous Woman". But despite that, twenty one pilots actually do something rare. They have claimed both of the top 2 positions simultaneously. "Ride" stays at #1 while "Stressed Out" rises back up to #2. At the beginning of the week, it looked like "Stressed Out" could actually get a 4th week at #1.

Now that we covered the twenty one pilots top 2, let's jump into the Ariana Grande news. Here is the list of all charting Ariana Grande songs:

Her 2nd single, "Into You", rises 8-3.
"Touch It" debuts at #4.
"Greedy" jumps 40-5.
"Moonlight" debuts at #8
"Everyday" (feat. Future) debuts at #9.
"Dangerous Woman" rises 13-12.
"Sometimes" falls 7-13 and is the only Ariana song to fall this week.
"Bad Decisions" debuts at #14.
"Side To Side" (feat. Nicki Minaj) rises 21-16.
"Let Me Love You" (feat. Lil Wayne) rises 23-17.
"Thinking Bout You" debuts at #21.
"I Don't Care" debuts at #22.
"Knew Better / Forever Boy" debuts at #28.
"Be Alright" jumps 67-37.
and "Leave Me Lonely" (feat. Macy Gray) debuts at #74.

15 Ariana Grande songs are charting, 14 of them are in the top 40, 5 of them are in the top 10. Wow, Ariana Grande fills up half of the top 10! :O

So, there were are alot of songs that took losses because of Ariana Grande. A song that was not one of them is ZAYN's "PILLOWTALK" which resurges (9-6) at the perfect time to stay in the top 10 and not get forced out by Ariana.

Mike Posner's "I Took A Pill In Ibiza (SeeB Remix)" falls 4-7.

This week, we have another hip-hop/rap song in the top 10. MadeInTYO's "Uber Everywhere" jumps 17-10.

Notable Songs Outside The Top 10
#19. Fifth Harmony - "Write On Me" (Wow, this took a big drop. Luckily, for this song, it shouldn't go much lower than this anytime soon! )

#38. Ed Sheeran - "Thinking Out Loud" (After 52 weeks, it has left the top 30. Very impressive, especially when considering the fact that it could've actually had another 20+ before those 52 if I still did my chart for May 31st of last year)

- Skrillex & Diplo's "Where Are U Now" (feat. Justin Bieber) drops out after reaching 52 weeks. It got pretty lucky last week when it survived at #96, but it seems that it has finally dropped out. However, I don't think it's officially done. I think it could actually re-enter.

CHART UPDATE

Okay, so I know it has been a very long time since I have posted a chart. Well, just so you know, my chart is NOT dead. In fact, I am planning to have a chart up around Monday (the 6/5 chart) and will try to post more charts almost every day. I have finally gotten around to catching up, for real this time, because of 2 reasons... 1, It's been way too long since I have posted a chart. And 2, my tracking year for 2016 ends in 2 months. So if I want the year-end charts to happen, I have to all the charts in 2016 complete/posted.

Oh, and one more thing. If you weren't in my tags list before and would like to be tagged in future charts, tell me and I will add you.

Nope, I'm not resetting. It will just be continued from 5/29.

There are a couple reasons this is possible... I have alot of charts in my Excel file that are like halfway done, and I have my last.fm plays to help with anything I'm unsure of. I mean, my chart isn't identical to my plays chart, but it's close enough I guess.
