Sigh. Was worried about this one being next. Can't say I'm surprised though. I'm hoping some of the singles come from tracks 6-13 because in my opinion, those are the best/countriest songs on the album. I wouldn't be so up in arms if the production on this song was actually country. I find it very noisy and annoying.

We all knew this would be a single at some point so I'm glad they're getting it out of the way. In my opinion, the weakest songs on the album are tracks 1-5 and unfortunately I'm guessing 4 of them will end up being singles (I assume the title track will be released at some point).
That's really disappointing as the second half of the album has some really solid stuff.
Typically artists try to release the best songs off their record, but between Luke with Kill the Lights and Aldean with Old Boots, New Dirt, radio is getting all the garbage songs and the ones left on the album are shaping up to be far superior.

I've never heard a song about this kind of subject before. Good to see him being original. -____-

Is it bad that I really like this song? Not upset by this in the least.

Great single choice! Hoping for "Fast", "Scarecrows", And "Huntin, Fishin' And Lovin" Every Day" to be future singles as well!

Ughhh... Best thing I can say is, it isn't "Move". Not country, immature, and overall just a disaster. He's 0/3 with me this era, so I'm hoping he can turn that around by releasing "Fast" or "Scarecrows" next.

He's 0/3 with me this era, so I'm hoping he can turn that around by releasing "Fast" or "Scarecrows" next. Good point on the immature. I agree with you. "I feel like as I get older, my music is going to naturally mature." is a quote from Luke in this article back in May: www.rollingstone.com/music/news/luke-bryan-talks-getting-older-and-mature-new-music-20150522. So this song completely contradicts that. But he also says in the article "there are things that are of a more mature subject matter — I've got a song on there that really touches on the big picture of life." I assume he's talking about the song Fast. I'm with you that I hope he releases "Fast" next. I think that's a great song. Because of the songs "Fast", "Scarecrows", and also songs like "To The Moon And Back" I think you also have to consider the album as a whole and not just the singles. He has some very mature stuff on there. Yet you could also argue that some of the most immature material he has released is on this album and he's almost 40. I guess a 40 year old singing a song like "Home Alone Tonight" is kind of silly. Especially since he's married with kids. I think you also have to consider that he's just being himself. Yeah it's an immature song but he likes to party and have a good time. He also has another side to him too. It's his sincere, caring, and mature side. He has gone through a lot of hardships in his life. I'm sure he's an excellent husband and dad too. Luke is killing it right now. I don't think there's any argument that he isn't the hottest artist in country music right now. He routinely hits the top of the airplay charts in 11-12 weeks. No other artist is doing that right now. What am I trying to say? I think Luke is just going to keep being Luke. Why? Most Luke Bryan fans are probably 18-24 years old, so he's going to keep singing about that kind of stuff. If ALL of his music matured he'd lose his core fan base. Also most country radio listeners are probably around 18-24 years old too so this is the type of song that country radio wants. When 18-24 year olds stop listening to country radio, we'll get more mature songs as singles. I'm going to end this with I love Luke Bryan as an artist. He seems like a really nice and sincere guy and doesn't let the success get to his head and change him. I love that about him. Even though his older material doesn't have the studio sheen his new material has (I wish his new stuff sounded like his old stuff sometimes), he kept true to the promise he made on his first album: "I'll Stay Me".

1. This song is way too immature for someone who's almost 40 to be singing. 2. The texting a picture to your ex line is so gross and off-putting. This is country music, you're supposed to be a gentleman, not Robin Thicke. 3. The production is awful, it's all over the place, and it's not even catchy or fun. 4. What a waste of a single when you have so many solid options available. 5. Completely wastes the talents of both lead singers. What an awful choice for the 3rd single.

What a disappointing, but completely expected, choice. This is easily my least favourite song on the album, but I don't think there was any doubt it would be a single.

I agree with a lot of this but Luke isn't even 39 yet, let alone 49. Karen is probably in her late 40s, but I doubt she's almost 49. I think I am able to like this more thinking it's a more tongue and cheek type song. Like, in my head it's more of them talking about how good it would feel to be able to do this to their ex, rather than them actually doing it.

So we have two 40 somethings (Luke is basically 40) who are just out of a relationship, they meet in a club. So they decide to get drunk off their but and take selfies to their respective exes for no apparent reason. They never mention what the ex did to make the two people (Karen and Luke) so just pissy like they never explained what the ex did too hurt them. So that what makes the lyrics awful in this. Also Karen sounds so lifeless on this song. You know she sounded fantastic on Girl Crush and the fact she goes from that to this garbage I am sorry but I have lost a lot of respect for Fairchild.

I know it seems like something younger people might do, but from personal experience, I would still want to do that (especially if someone as beautiful as Karen Fairchild was into me).

Meh... I don't hate this song, but its definitely lower tier Luke (note I find myself to be a much bigger Luke fan than a large majority of you guys here.)

"Home Alone Tonight" got 3 adds this week, so I'm assuming we'll see the official impact date be set for either November 9th or 16th.

"Fast" should be the next single. I'm not really sure about "Home Alone Tonight" doing great. It really is a disappointment. Another Bro Country song. Oh great! I really do hope that Luke decides to pick "Huntin', Fishin', and Loving Every Day" as a later single.

I don't see at all how this is a bro song.

After this is released the only other stinker (imo) left that might get released is Kill The Lights. I think that the duet was always going to be released, especially with the tour coming up. Kill The Lights only because it's the name of the tour and (generally) these songs get released. I would love for "Fast", "Razor Blade" and "Scarecrows" to get released. I'm not a big fan of "To the Moon and Back" but I see the benefit to all of country music if Luke was to release a song like that and it be a hit.

At all costs. There are some great songs on the album, but it's a shame they won't see the light of day.

This song actually hooked me. I still love even the songs y'all seem to hate more than this but, it's definitely catchy and radio-friendly, so I hope it does well and paves the way for Fast, the best song on the album.

Idk if I'm more disappointed in the song itself, or if I'm disappointed that this song isn't about hanging out with Macaulay Culkin. Would be a huge improvement.

Not impressed with the single choices of this era at all. There were other good songs on the album; Fast, To the Moon and Back, Razor Blade, to name a few. That said, this single choice doesn't surprise me at all. Let's hope that Move or Kill the Lights won't be released next!

It's not bro, it's just a really bad Pop song Ok this song made me literally laugh out loud because it is so juvenile. I don't think the sentiments are any different than many classic 'drink to drown sorrows, hook up in bars, pay back to the ex, etc' country themes, but it is so in your face and the selfie part especially is ridiculous-if you have that bitter of a break up, why would an Ex even care that you sent them a selfie with a random bar hookup-it would probably make them feel 100% better in the vein of "Thank goodness I'm over that crazy-hopefully they'll stop obsessing over me now". I agree, the lyrics make it sound like something someone too young to even be in a bar would write. And the production, vocals are awful. Of course I'm doomed to hearing this on my country station

I'm a huge Luke fan, but if we get Kick the Dust Up--Strip it Down--Home Alone Tonight--Kill the Lights--Move, it just may beat out Jason Aldean's current era for most useless A-list album era in the history of the genre.
A bunch of "sing-a-long then forget they existed" songs that won't get much recurrent play and SURELY won't do anything in regards to furthering either's career or crafting a respectable sound for the genre.
While artists like Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Randy Houser, Lee Brice, Chris Young, and some respectable newcomers continue pumping out high-qualitty unique tunes (some of which are strong song of the year candidates), I have to wonder how long until Luke's popularity wanes to the point where he is forced to actually give radio something substantial or he will find himself fizzling out in the teens.
