Week #13: Dated January 24, 2016
#1 Song:
Ashley Monroe officially makes "The Blade" the first multi-week #1 of 2016. The rest of the top 3 sees no changes, as Dierks and Kelsea are both held to their previous positions. This week Reba, Cam, and Jana Kramer all disappear, and Brothers Osborne falls from #4 to #8. This means there is serious movement throughout the rest of the chart! Rainey Qualley, Cassadee Pope, and Zac Brown Band to surge ahead, as well as Lee Brice who makes a massive surge into the top 10. The top 10 also welcomes for the first time George Strait and Sam Hunt.
The cusp of the top 10 shows Erica Nicole/Jamie O'Neal, Jon Pardi, and Lauren Alaina making huge leaps. Unfortunately for Tim McGraw, "Top of the World" begins hemorrhaging spins, and stays at #14 while losing its bullet, despite the huge gaps that had opened up before it on the chart. Maddie & Tae, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, and Lindsay Ell all enter the top 20 for the first time. Craig Morgan is hoping to do the same soon.
Chase Byant and Randy Houser continue to fall. Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood and Joe Nichols are sandwiched between them as they enter the top 25. Martina dives well into the top 30, and waits to enter the top 25 soon. Little Big Town, Justin Moore, Brantley Gilbert, and Keith Urban all enter the top 30 for the first time. Maren Morris, Brooke Eden, Granger Smith, and Jennifer Nettles all enter the top 40 for the first time. Terri Clark debuts just outside the top 40 with "Just Add Water", while Alan Jackson follows not far behind with "Angels And Alcohol". Jo Dee Messina and Trace Adkins begin to make steady gains, each moving up 2 spaces. Tyler Farr and Frankie Ballard each make their first debuts on my chart as well, filling out the end.
Falling Off:

Week #14: Dated January 31, 2016 #1 song:Ashley Monroe stumbles and falls to #5, relinquishing the #1 position to Dierks Bentley after spending 2 weeks atop the chart. Rainey Qualley sees a nice boost and leaps from #4 to #2, keeping Kelsea Ballerini stuck at #3 for the 3rd week in a row. Cassadee Pope rounds out the to 5 and continues to make steady gains. Zac Brown Band are meanwhile held to #6 because Ashley Monroe did not fall beneath them. George Strait, however, has a nice update, as he delves deeper into the top 10, leaping Lee Brice in the process. Just below Lee, Erica Nicole/Jamie O'Neal and Sam Hunt all make it into the top 10 for the first time. Just beneath the top 10, Jon Pardi waits patiently for admission. His song seems to be climbing WAY faster on my chart than it has been on the real charts! Eric Church has a phenomenal week, as he passes Lauren Alaina, Sara Evans, and the plummeting Tim McGraw to move up 4 positions. Sara also leaps Lauren herself, causing Lauren to fall back to #14. Maddie & Tae enter the top 15 for the second time in their career with "Shut Up And Fish", while Toby Keith bubbles under with the sultry "Beautiful Stranger". Lindsay Ell proves that she is indeed deserving of her top 20 position. Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood barrels forward to #19 after spending last week at #23. Martina McBride, Little Big Town, and Brantley Gilbert have excellent weeks, chasing each other into the top 25. Justin Moore waits to move over to the top 25, while Rascal Flatts and Chris Stapleton both surge around Keith Urban. Florida Georgia Line have an extraordinary week as well, moving into the top 30 for the first time. Kip Moore manages to leap Chris Young/Cassadee Pope. Jennifer Nettles, Terri Clark, and Cole Swindell all enter the top 40. Meanwhile, Chris Janson sees a meteoric rise from #45 up to #37. I guess that means he would be the greatest gainer! Jo Dee Messina surges past David Nail, almost catching Alan Jackson on the verge of entering the top 40. Queen Reba returns to the chart just ahead of Tyler Farr, as "Just Like Them Horses" begins to do quite well. Billy Currington also returns to my chart with his new song (album artwork courtesy of rsmatto), and Big & Rich make an appearance with their new single featuring Tim McGraw as well.
Falling Off:
Brothers Osborne - “Stay A Little Longer” - Peak: 1 (1 week) - Weeks On: 13 Chase Bryant - “Little Bit Of You” - Peak: 19 - Weeks On: 13 Randy Houser - “We Went” - Peak: 21 - Weeks On: 13 New Entries:
Reba McEntire - "Just Like Them Horses" - Debut: 46 Billy Currington - "It Don't Hurt Like It Used To" - Debut: 48 Big & Rich ft. Tim McGraw - "Lovin' Lately" - Debut: 50 Top 20 Favorites:
1) Heartbeat - Carrie Underwood 2) Shut Up And Fish - Maddie & Tae 3) Just Like Them Horses - Reba McEntire 4) Jesus And Jones - Trace Adkins 5) Beautiful Drug - Zac Brown Band 6) Daddy’s Money - Brooke Eden 7) Think Of You - Chris Young ft. Week #15: Dated February 7, 2016
#1 Song:
After sailing around Kelsea Ballerini for #2 last week, Rainey Qualley ascends to the top as Dierks' "Riser" begins to ironically not live up to its name. Cassadee Pope sneaks around Dierks' "Faller" to round out the top 3. Zac Brown Band enters the threshold, and shows no signs of slowing down. George Strait's "Cold Beer Conversation" makes it to #6, but just about got caught by the rapidly-rising "Like I Do". Beneath that, the top 10 is a lot softer. Lee Brice hangs on to the #8 position, but begins to lose spins. Just after him is the plummeting Ashley Monroe. Rounding out the top 10, Eric Church's "Mr. Misunderstood" enters for the first time at #10.
Meanwhile, thanks to Eric's sudden surge Sam Hunt and Jon Pardi are knocked backwards, with Sam being knocked clear out of the top 10. Sara Evans stays in place at #13, while Maddie & Tae catch up to her. After yet another week of losing position, Lauren Alaina loses her bullet this week. Carrie Underwood continues to fly through the teens, but Brad Paisley reaches his limit and begins to slide backwards. Finally, Martina McBride takes "Over The Rainbow" to the top 20 for the first time. We'll see if that song gets much higher, with "Reckless" set to make a hot debut sometime this month.
Later on down the chart, Justin Moore leaps over Brantley Gilbert and enters the top 25. Rascal Flatts and Chris Stapleton seem to be just about ready to make a similar leap themselves. Hank, Jr. and Eric Church leap Florida Georgia Line as they enter the top 30. Throughout the rest of the top 40, gains are fairly consistent. Alan Jackson takes "Angels And Alcohol" to #40 in his 3rd week on the chart. Jo Dee Messina and Trace Adkins, each in week 4, are hopeful to do the same soon. Finally, in regards to Tim McGraw, the chart giveth, and the chart taketh away. Tim makes his debut at #50 with "Humble And Kind", while "Top Of The World" goes recurrent after peaking at #14. "Humble And Kind" lands next to Big & Rich's "Lovin' Lately", also featuring Tim. The race is on to see how those songs do against each other!
Falling Off:
Tim McGraw - “Top Of The World” - Peak: 14 - Weeks On: 14 New Entries:
Tim McGraw - "Humble And Kind" - Debut: 50 Top 20 Favorites:1) Heartbeat - Carrie Underwood 2) Shut Up And Fish - Maddie & Tae 3) Jesus And Jones - Trace Adkins 4) Just Like Them Horses - Reba McEntire 5) Daddy’s Money - Brooke Eden 6) Beautiful Drug - Zac Brown Band 7) It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To - Billy Currington 8) Think Of You - Chris Young ft. Cassadee Pope 9) Beautiful Stranger - Toby Keith 10) By The Way - Lindsay Ell 11) Head Over Boots - Jon Pardi 12) Humble And Kind - Tim McGraw 13) Unlove You - Jennifer Nettles 14) Power Of Positive Drinkin’ - Chris Janson 15) Lovin’ Lately - Big & Rich ft. Tim McGraw 16) Someone To Take Your Place - Tara Thompson 17) Whiskey On My Breath - Love & Theft 18) You Look Like I Need A Drink - Justin Moore 19) When I’m Gone - Craig Morgan 20) Nobody To Blame - Chris Stapleton .indulgecountry , Daryl the Beryl , sabre14 , someguy , Zeebz , gardyfan , bigfan101 , trebor , jhomes87 , Kanenrá:ke , tim , raylatch98 , defying gravity , Sean , zack97 , Andy , Massikur2 , sbp17 , castleoblivion26 , bksouthga , tryexp , fearlessarrow , @jakelmmrs44 , mrck , @nickv1025 , Kurt , H.

No! Lauren Alaina I hope she makes a recovery and I hope Lindsay Ell keeps it up. Also really great #1 choice hope it blocks Kelsea Ballerini as I love Rainey Qualley song so much.

So, guess who is leaving for Nashville first thing tomorrow morning. THIS GUY!!!!! I will be having an extended weekend there with my family. And as a result, my next chart will not be published until Monday evening when I get home. (Also, while I am there I may or may not be going to see Terri Clark, Vince Gill, and Maggie Rose at the Grand Ole Opry........)

Yay!! I'm so happy for you bboat11! Nashville is my home away from home and go any chance I get! I'm going during spring break in March and it can't come soon enough! If you've never been then you HAVE to go to the Grand Ole Opry...not just because those are some truly amazing artists, but the experience in and of itself is truly amazing! HAVE FUN! I expect a full report of all the fun things you get to do there!!!

How did you create your chart like that? It looks really nice Hey, thank you very much! I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner; I have been out of town. I created the template for this chart in Numbers, which is the Mac version of Excel. Basically just merging cells to make the different-sized boxes. Then every week I go in and copy/paste the information around according to the songs' movement. Numbers also allows you to change the background color for each cell, which is how I change it from green to red. I am sure Excel would let you do anything that Numbers would, if that is the program you have. Then the complicated part is getting it onto Pulse. First I export it from Numbers to PDF as a single sheet, and from there I export it from PDF to jpeg. The jpeg can be uploaded to an online site, such as Photobucket, Imgur, or a blog. I upload my chart every week to a private Imgur account, and then I can post it as an image on Pulse because it has a URL. If you want to make something similar for yourself, go for it! I personally think that the visual aesthetics make a chart more interesting, so I am more than willing to let other people use similar ideas :)

Howdy y'all! I am back from Nashville, and it was INCREDIBLE!!!! More details will come later, but let me just say for right now that my hotel happened to be on the same road as Martina McBride's house.... She was only 3.5 miles away the whole time I was there! How cool is life!!!!
Week #16: Dated February 14, 2016
#1 Song:
This week Cassadee Pope rushes to the top, proving she truly is invincible. Rainey Qualley as a result tumbles to #2. Kelsea Ballerini unfortunately begins to show fatigue, as she falls all the way back to #4. Zac Brown Band meanwhile surge ahead, rounding out the top 3 with "Beautiful Drug" (which I absolutely LOVE, btw. I know I am in the minority). George Straight takes his "Cold Beer Conversation" into the top 5, but begins to slow down a little bit. Erica Nicole and Jamie O'Neal continue to surge ahead relentlessly, while Eric Church makes a huge leap from #10 to #7. Sam Hunt re-enters the top 10 at #8, and Jon Pardi enters for the first time at #10, sandwiching Dierks as "Riser" falls to #9.
Just outside the top 10, Lee Brice's "That Don't Sound Like You" continues to tumble. Carrie Underwood has another awesome leap from #17 to #14, passing Toby Keith and Lauren Alaina. Lauren meanwhile manages to regain her bullet this week, holding position at #15. Martina McBride moves strongly into the top 20, while Craig Morgan and Joe Nichols enter it for the first time. Joe Nichols, as well as Little Big Town, Justin Moore, and Brantley Gilbert, manages to pass the plummeting Brad Paisley. Chris Stapleton enters the top 25.
The rest of the top 40, as usual, moves ahead without issue. Brooke Eden manages to leap Maren Morris, holding her to #33, but Maren continues to do just fine. Similarly, Alan Jackson leaps Cole Swindell, holding "You Should Be Here" to #39. Jo Dee Messina takes her new song to the top 40, while Trace Adkins threatens to do the same soon. More huge gains are received by Reba as "Just Like Them Horses" takes off like a rocket. As a result of her rise, Dustin Lynch and David Nail are both held to their positions in the mid-40s. Billy Currington's gains also prevent Tyler Farr from making any progress (which is okay. Song quality is unquestionably on Billy's side, honestly...). Tim McGraw makes excellent progress with "Humble And Kind", and finishes the week just ahead of Big & Rich's new duet with himself. Tara Thompson makes her exciting new debut at #49, while Frankie Ballard continues to struggle to get any kind of momentum whatsoever. His new song is pretty good, but I am having a lot of trouble getting into him after his last 3 vastly overplayed and underwhelming songs! Perhaps time will change that, and "It All Started With a Beer" will become a hit for me... We'll just have to see.
Falling Off:
Ashley Monroe - “The Blade” - Peak: 1 (2 weeks) - Weeks On: 15 New Entries:
Tara Thompson - "Someone To Take Your Place" - Debut: 49 Top 20 Favorites:
1) Heartbeat - Carrie Underwood 2) Jesus And Jones - Trace Adkins 3) Shut Up And Fish - Maddie & Tae 4) Beautiful Drug - Zac Brown Band 5) Just Like Them Horses - Reba McEntire 6) Daddy’s Money - Brooke Eden 7) Beautiful Stranger - Toby Keith 8) By The Way - Lindsay Ell 9) Think Of You - Chris Young ft. Cassadee Pope 10) It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To - Billy Currington 11) Humble And Kind - Tim McGraw 12) Someone To Take Your Place - Tara Thompson 13) Power Of Positive Drinkin’ - Chris Janson 14) My Church - Maren Morris 15) Snapback - Old Dominion 16) Nobody to Blame - Chris Stapleton 17) When I’m Gone - Craig Morgan 18) Head Over Boots - Jon Pardi 19) Unlove You - Jennifer Nettles 20) You Look Like I Need A Drink - Justin Moore .indulgecountry , Daryl the Beryl , sabre14 , someguy , Zeebz , gardyfan , bigfan101 , trebor , jhomes87 , Kanenrá:ke , tim , raylatch98 , defying gravity , Sean , zack97 , Andy , Massikur2 , sbp17 , castleoblivion26 , bksouthga , tryexp , fearlessarrow , @jakelmmrs44 , mrck , @nickv1025 , Kurt , H.

Love the debut for Tara Thompson. I'm rooting for "Like I Do" to make it all the way to #1...

Sorry, was a bit of a lazy b* lately and didn't visit any of my fellow poster's threads really. Wasn't online often. So, I'm really curious and excited to see how your chart unfolded in the meantime. Rainey Qualley was your #1 last week! Very, very cool! Impartial to Cassadee Pope; not the kind of sound I usually listen to... (It's pretty catchy, though) ZBB getting that much love is amazing! Eric Church at #7: Yes! Noticing that Riser was #1: So really deserved! This was a grower for me and once it was getting my full attention, Sony gave up on it! It's now one of my faves. Very happy for bg at #23 and that Hank Jr. is still hanging on. Alan Jackson at #38 is fantastic! This is such a great track; wish they would release another track from his album. This for instance or "When God Paints". Cole is stalling at #39 while over at my chart he's... #1! Need to properly check all the new female voices... There's a ton out right now Great chart! :) NB: Absolutely adore your new avi!

There's a ton out right now Great chart! :) NB: Absolutely adore your new avi! Yeah, I noticed you were pretty quiet the last few weeks. But I am really quite impressed that you care enough about peoples' personal charts to go back and study the last few weeks that you missed! :) I love love love Rainey Qualley's song. I wanted to give it two weeks at the top, but I decided that for the sake of chart clog and over-saturation I would limit it to one... I can definitely see where Cassadee's song would not be someone's usual cup of tea. I love it, but it is definitely different from my usual style too! I am a HUGE fan of ZBB's song, despite the fact that it has not been well-received on Pulse. I am glad to know I am not the only one :) Also, Cole Swindell's song may have stalled, but it is still a pretty young song! It has a lot of room to grow yet. I will admit that his music is starting to suffer from overplay on the radio in my opinion, so that is why his new song is climbing pretty slowly on my chart. But I do generally enjoy his music more than many of the other "historically-bro" crowd, which is why his song started charting so quickly upon its release. And finally, thank you so much about the avi! I saw that on Facebook, and thought it was absolutely perfect. It will likely only last until Martina's new single cover comes out, but I could definitely see it making a reappearance around election-time 8D

Week #17: Dated February 21, 2016
#1 Song:
This week Zac Brown Band surge to the top with "Beautiful Drug". That song is such a guilty pleasure for me :) Cassadee Pope slips only back to #2, hanging on fairly well to her airplay despite having peaked. Compared to last week's top 10, Cassadee Pope, Rainey Qualley, Kelsea Ballerini, Eric Church, and Sam Hunt are all now plummeting, and Dierks Bentley has already left. This leaves lots of room for Erica Nicole and Jamie O'Neal to make an epic rise, as well as Jon Pardi. Sara Evans and Carrie Underwood both enter the top 10, after spending 16 and 13 weeks on the chart respectively. George Strait meanwhile holds position at #5.
Maddie & Tae and Toby Keith sit pretty as they wait for spots in the top 10 to open up in the near future. Toby leaped ahead of Lauren Alaina this week. She continues to hang on to her bullet, but her gains have not been promising lately. Lindsay Ell and Martina McBride are now breathing down her neck, with Craig Morgan putting up steady gains just behind them, so Lauren needs to be extra careful these next couple weeks. Joe Nichols is having fun on my chart despite struggling on the real charts. Meanwhile, Justin Moore and Little Big Town all enter the top 20 for the first time.
Between positions 20-25, Chris Stapleton takes full advantage of Brad Paisley's departure. Hank Williams, Jr. and Eric Church make excellent headway as well, leaping up 5 positions from 28 to 23. Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban jump to the top 25 for the first time as well. Just beneath them, Chris Young/Cassadee Pope, Maren Morris, and Brooke Eden all enter the top 30. Jennifer Nettles, Chris Janson, and Terri Clark sit poised to enter very soon. Just beneath Terri, Alan Jackson flies past Granger Smith. Cole Swindell does the same, earning a 4-position gain. Jo Dee Messina couldn't quite get around Granger, but I would be surprised if she didn't soon. Trace Adkins, Reba McEntire, and Dustin Lynch all enter the top 40 this week.
Billy Currington and Tim McGraw continue to do exceedingly well, nearing the top 40 in their 4th and 3rd weeks on the charts. Tara Thompson proves that her excellent debut is no fluke either, rising from #49 all the way up to #43 as she enters her second week. Rounding out the rest of the chart, David Nail and Tyler Farr struggle immensely. Unfortunately for them, there are so many excellent songs being released these days that there is simply not enough room for mediocre material to take up chart space (buuuuuuurn). After struggling last week, Frankie Ballard regains his bullet and climbs all the way to #46, which is a new peak. Old Dominion, Brandy Clark, and Cam all make their new debuts in the top 50, so congratulations are in order for each of them.

Oh boy, I hope Erica & Jamie make it to the top next week! Also love, love, love seeing Sara and Carrie crack the Top 10! <3 Really hope that Lauren Alaina can hang in there, too. And it's great to see Brandy Clark and Cam debuting this week.

Amazing to see ZBB at #1! :) This will be their first song in a long not to go Top 3 in my chart or Top 10 for that matter. So, I'm glad it's doing great here. Nice jump for Jon Pardi. This is a real grower! Have started to really dig Joe Nichols' song; so, nice to see him at #18. Brooke Eden is already #30. Wow, you're an early believer! ;) I'm starting to slowly get used to that Old Dominion song. Major thumbs up for Brandy Clark and Cam. We probably can expect Martina McBrida take Hot Shot Debut honours next week... ;) :)

Week #18: Dated February 28, 2016 #1 Song:
Zac Brown Band relinquishes the #1 position after 1 week, falling all the way to #4. Cassadee Pope continues to fall as well, all the way from #2 to #5. This allows the #3 song by Erica Nicole and Jamie O'Neal to make a leap for #1! "Like I Do" is one of my favorite hidden gems from this past year. Erica and Jamie just sound SPLENDID together!! It reminds me of "Enough" by Reba/Jennifer Nettles, only less mainstream and less star-studded. Meanwhile, thanks to both of the aforementioned falling songs, George Strait manages to leap from #5 to #3, while Jon Pardi makes a huge leap from #6 all the way to #2. Just outside the top 5, Carrie Underwood has leaped Sara Evans as she continues to make an epic rise up the charts. Maddie & Tae, Toby Keith, and Lindsay Ell all make the top 10 for the first time, filling up the spots vacated by Rainey Qualley, Kelsea Ballerini, and Eric Church. Martina McBride makes a massive jump from #16 all the way to just outside the top 10, surging ahead of Lauren Alaina (who did manage to get a new peak this week). Joe Nichols passes Craig Morgan, as both songs continue to make excellent progress. Right beneath them is where Eric Church landed at #15 after plummeting all the way from #8. Brantley Gilbert and Chris Stapleton both make the top 10 for the first time, and they sandwich Sam Hunt as he falls to #19 and prepares to exit the chart next week. New entries to the top 25 include Florida Georgia Line and Kip Moore. Chris Young and Cassadee Pope wait just outside, and Chris Janson and Jennifer Nettles both enter the top 30 for the first time. Terri Clark and Alan Jackson are flying right along, sitting on the verge of the top 30 in just their 6th week on the chart! Cole Swindell continues to make nice progress, but not nearly as nice as Reba, who leaps both Jo Dee Messina and Trace Adkins in her leisurely hop from #39 to #34. Billy Currington leaps Dustin Lynch as he enters the top 40. Other new entries to the top 40 include Tim McGraw and Tara Thompson. Just below them, Granger Smith manages to fall out of the top 40, after peaking at #36 last week. After almost going recurrent 2 weeks ago, Frankie Ballard continues to prove that he really DOES want to go places, jumping 3 positions to #43. Of course, as trebor so boldly predicted, Martina McBride gets the hot shot debut honors as "Reckless" enters the chart at #44 (and also zooms straight up to #1 on my list of favorites ;) ), debuting just ahead of Old Dominion. The next debut position goes to Eric Church, as "Record Year" enters at #46, ahead of Brandy Clark. Towards the very end of the chart, David Nail continues to fall, but not quite quick enough to allow Cam to get around him, and Brothers Osborne make their debut with "21 Summer" at #50. Falling Off:
Rainey Qualley - “Me And Johnny Cash” - Peak: 1 (1 week) - Weeks On: 17 Kelsea Ballerini - “Dibs” - Peak: 2 - Weeks On: 17 Tyler Farr - “Better In Boots” - Peak: 46 - Weeks On: 5 New Entries:
Martina McBride - "Reckless" - Debut: 44 Eric Church - "Record Year" - Debut: 46 Brothers Osborne - "21 Summer" - Debut: 50 Top 20 Favorites:
1) Reckless - Martina McBride 2) Heartbeat - Carrie Underwood 3) Jesus And Jones - Trace Adkins 4) Shut Up And Fish - Maddie & Tae 5) Daddy’s Money - Brooke Eden 6) It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To - Billy Currington 7) Just Like Them Horses - Reba McEntire 8) Beautiful Drug - Zac Brown Band 9) By The Way - Lindsay Ell 10) Think Of You - Chris Young ft. Cassadee Pope 11) Record Year - Eric Church 12) Head Over Boots - Jon Pardi 13) My Church - Maren Morris 14) Beautiful Stranger - Toby Keith 15) Unlove You - Jennifer Nettles 16) Humble And Kind - Tim McGraw 17) You Look Like I Need A Drink - Justin Moore 18) Someone To Take Your Place - Tara Thompson 19) Power Of Positive Drinkin’ - Chris Janson 20) Lovin’ Lately - Big & Rich ft. Do you do yours based on personal preference, or according to some kind of numbers tabulation? And about Martina, I almost didn't debut her this week...just to keep you on your toes. ;) But ultimately I just couldn't resist!! Haha I'm just too darn excited to have new music!!
