Sad it's done but as you guys are I'm happy for a top 40 placement. As for second single I personally want "Love Can Go To Hell" but I think the best choice is "Broke". Really any of these songs would've been hits about 10 years ago but they're all going to struggle at this time. At least they put out the worst song first and now they can only go up in quality! (And I loved "Girl Next Door"). "Since You've Gone To Heaven" would win song of the year awards if released though so maybe put that out and work the awards circuit next year. Especially the Grammys I love both songs (LCGTH and Broke) but I disagree about them being hits 10 years ago. Maybe for a different artist, but not Brandy. Country radio is still very hesitant of playing an LGBT artist and 10 years ago it was even worse. Sorry I wasn't taking into account her sexuality just the music.

Understood, but her releasing them now or 10 years ago probably would have resulted in the same situation, unfortunately. I think these songs are actually better suited for 2016 and are still struggling to gain traction.

Love Can Go To Hell or Homecoming Queen get my vote for next. At first the album was not immediate like 12 Stories. But I've actually listened to it about 50 times since then. It's my favorite album of 2016 thus far. They couldn't go wrong with next single even though radio would ignore it. Honestly girl next door was their best shot this era

"Homecoming Queen" was my favorite song on Sheryl's country album a few years ago and I was surprised to see it had more tempo to it on Brandy's version after listening to and loving Sheryl's for years. I think that one would make a great single as well, and also "Love Can Go to Hell" or "Broke" would work, too. I'd like to see her get another song into the Top 40 from this record at least. That'd be very nice to see.

The label is definitely off "Girl Next Door" as Brandy's song lost over 100 spins in today's Mediabase update. Radiotraks sent out a survey today to subscribers, asking feedback on Brandy's next radio single. They gave three options.

^ The Highway's been spinning it on their "Horizon" show the past 3-4 weeks.
