Need to hear the studio production on this one first, but this sounds like it could be a career song for Cole. That's how highly I think of that live recording. I really hope they keep the production stripped down for this one, but I won't hold my breath.

I feel like this song would be so much better if the lyrics were a little more ambiguous as to whether it was about an ex lover, a friend that had passed, or something else.
Overall liked it thought, looking forward to hearing the studio version

This could be major. I just really hope that Cole comes through with the production as the icing on the cake.

Think this could be really, really big.
Also wish he'd kept "My First Radio" off the EP and on the record so he could put that to radio.

Cole recently did an interview with CBSPhilly and he talked in-depth about "You Should Be Here": Cole says the music video has already been shot.

If any interview can be described as "promising", that one certainly fits the bill!! I am now super excited to hear this song! It seems really mature and self-reflective of him to say that this song is one where he is hoping to establish himself as an artist who is going to be around for awhile. It's like he knows that so far his music has been fairly vanilla and safe (even if it is in the better half of the songs that follow trends lately), and is ready to make his move and show us what he's all about. I love it! Hopefully he is right!

Studio version is up on iTunes. This is good. Really, really good.
This will take his career to the next level.

It's a good song, but I can't help but feel like it would be even better in the hands of a better vocalist.

Good song and I'm glad to hear Cole and Frankie release substantial tunes (while Brett released another wafer).
I'll take the violin :)
I can't help but hear the vocals seem to be layered which I imagine is a result of Cole's limitations but nonetheless he succeeds in delivering the emotion he intended. I like it.

I like it. See I feel like the emotions fall completely flat, not unlike Luke and Drink a Beer. This song didn't move me at all. Literally my only thought after it was "Cole's limited vocals make this really hard to listen to and enjoy." I don't think I'll end up skipping it on the radio but I don't think it's nearly as good as a lot of people are propping it up as. I appreciate Cole for trying, but that's about it.

This song and Randy's vocals could make this huge; Cole's just leaves me wanting more. However, I am willing to give him a shot and see if he can convey it live, since he really has not had a song with deep lyrics to date.

Nice song, good songwriting, should be a big hit. 100 steps above "Let Me See Ya Girl". But yeah, give this to Houser or someone and it goes from good to great.

This is really good and I think it will become his most notable/popular hit when everything is said and done. I personally see what everyone is saying about how a stronger vocalist could make this song even better (I personally feel Jason Aldean could crush this song with his twangy voice), but at the end of the day this is still a great song by Cole. I hope this will continue the trend of writing better lyrics and more thought provoking material.

Where are you hearing a violin? I hear a piano which is a first in a CS song I think haha but not a violin.

Don't like his vocals on this on first listen and it prevented me from truly enjoying the song for now. I'll probably get used to it and then be fine, because even through the less-than-stellar vocal delivery, I can tell that this is a very good song. I'm sure this song will do great for him. I could see this being his biggest hit yet.

Wow, well if I had any doubt that he would be able to convey emotion with this song, I think he just showed other wise.
What a vunerable moment that he shared. That could not have been comfortable.
Early video of the year vibes, and it should join "Burning House" on the award track for 2016.

i like the lyrics and his vocals but i can not stand that horrible production its a country lyric stuck in a hip hop track looks like another song that could've been awesome goes to waste due to crappy music

"You Should Be Here" is the most added song on MB this week with at least 33 adds.
