This album is really uneventful for me. 'Cool Girl' is still solid but 80% of it I had no desire to listen to again. It's not bad, just not anything I'm terribly excited about. That said, the title track is really something else. The clear standout, no questions asked.

I think I'm underwhelmed on the first listen. The sequencing sorta reminds me of PRISM in that all the diversity is packed up front and then the back half coasts. Aside from Imaginary Friend, I think all of the highlights are from the first half. The minimal, slow-ish building pop of her debut worked very well because the songs were very well written at their core. That's not as consistently strong here imo.

Just listened to the clips and I am really excited to purchase this. Outside of the Habits remix and feature on Close, I was never into her but this album sounds like a winner.

I just listened to it for the third time in a row and I'm impressed. I think I found my late 2016 go-to album.
I can't get the "What's your line though? That I'm fine, oh, heard that before" part ever since I watched the Fairy Dust trailer and I wasn't expecting this song to be one of the most low-tempo songs on the album.
Standouts: Vibes, True Disaster, Flashes Least favorite: Keep It Simple

Listened to the first half on the way to work this morning, sounds pretty good.

Succulent's Retail Report: none of the Targets in the 5 Boroughs or Jersey is carrying this, despite there being a Target exclusive edition. This has happened before and when it does, the store gets it a week or more after release date. #oop. The Best Buys in the 5 Boroughs are reporting only a handful of copies available.

Underwhelmed to say the least. I knew going in I wasn't going to like this nearly as much as Truth Serum and Queen of the Clouds, and I was sadly right. There's not a bad song on here, but nothing really stands out besides "True Disaster" for me. I'll definitely give it more listens in hopes to cling onto more. Off of the top of my head, I enjoyed "Vibes" and "Lady Wood". There was another I liked but I don't remember the name.

If you really want the album, I wouldn't even bother with the Target edition. It's just remixes and a solo version to "Influence", which we already heard last year.

I only really wanted it to be a completist but that's fine. I knew it was just remixes and an alternate version of Influence, although, based on the tracklisting on Target.com, the Target deluxe version of Influence is the Wiz Khalifa version. I'm not the biggest Wiz fan so I can deal without him on the standard edition. Maybe on the digital version, they put Wiz on the standard edition?

The part in Flashes when they pull the vocal-to-guitar synth trick is epic and one of the top pop song moments of the year.
This feels tighter than QOTC, but the massiveness of that album makes it stand out more than this. I think the movie is going to put LW over the top, though.
She sounds so much like Marina on WTF Love Is.

I'm not in love with the album like I was hoping to be. It's decent but nothing gravitated towards me. I enjoy Lady Wood and WTF Love Is a lot. Going to spin this a few more times during the weekend to see if anything clicks.

WOW!! So surprised how disappointed I am in this album after being obsessed with QOTC. Nothing stands out to me on first listen except True Disaster which I already played out... hope it's a grower

First listen: solid but same-y. I don't hear anything that will up her commercial viability, but who knows--first half has some gems.
Sadly, but unsurprisingly, nothing as magical as "Moments."

Only liking this for the "Moments" love and the commercial aspect. If Lady Wood, Influence, or Cool Girl can't do anything than this album will be DOA. The production of True Disaster has been run into the ground in recent years with the Max Martin/Ali Payami workings so I can't see that doing anything because it sounds 2014 already.

Succulent's Retail Report Pt II: Target.com is a lie. They had the album in stock. Additionally, both versions of Influence have Wiz on them. I figured I might as well buy the Target version since Best Buy is selling the standard for the same price. Plus, her remixes are what drew me to her anyway. I can't wait til I get home to listen to this!

Strong album. It's high-energy weed music or even Molly, I feel. Just being moderately stoned, I find myself locking in and zoning out, in a good way. I agree that there are no big standouts especially for pop radio but I dig the vibe and the lyrics and production. Oh...she shows her tits in the booklet, DJ General.

I'm actually liking this much more after a few listens. Not as sparkling as her debut, and still a bit one-note, but it's a good note, generally.

I love the vibe of this album. And I'll probably get a ton of mileage out of it just because of that. But it's not as strong as her debut, the hooks don't grab as hard and the highlights aren't as high. But it's definitely a solid (and very listenable from beginning to end) effort.
According to her Entertainment Weekly interview this week, she already has her third album finished and it will be coming out sometime in 2017.

I'm definitely about to jam to this album throughout this winter. Once again, she put out a bunch of beautifully crafted and low-fat feel-good tracks. I cannot say if I like it more or less than QOTC because I've given that album almost a year and it's already in my bones, but based on my first few listens I'll rank the tracks as follow:
Keep it Simple Don't Talk About It (single worthy) Lady Wood True Disaster (single worthy) Influence Vibes Cool Girl WTF Love Is Flashes Imaginary Friend (even this is my least favorite one the hook is still on repeat in my head)
