#1 Work - 1.0537#2 Stressed Out - 0.3647 I thought it could only go to 1.000? There are two versions of it, the clean and the explicit

Work work work wrr wrr
Bish. I am WINEING right now. It's catchy as hell. Drake dropped that fire too. I like that "***I'M RACIST***s tryna end me" line.

It will fulfill it´s purpose - getting a pop hit, but it´s no "Bitch Better..." which has quality all over it, but I guess pop radio is not really looking for something arty or "deep". You can feel that this "Work" song was made in rush with Drake thrown in the mix to have this extra assurance for the pop success, so this song was definitely produced after the flop era in spring for Rihanna. It surely has no longevity in it and after topping charts for a glimpse it will fall like a rocket. The second single has to be something special hopefully. Anyway Rihanna has been a victim of too high hopes of making a classic with a falling star Kanye West and farting supernova Paul McCartney in the mix.

This will SLAY Rhythmic, most likely a #1 there. Probably on Urban too but I find it less likely. Pop remains a doubt, tho, I can see it going Top10 but I'm not sure it'll hit #1 (What's My Name didn't either, it peaked at #4). It should find little to moderate HAC success as well, peaking in the Top30 or 25 WMN? had tons of competition though (Firework, Grenade) just to name a few. Then she had Only Girl that had just as much, if not more airplay at the time. I think this is the perfect time for her to strike.

Pop radio will probably hate this but play it anyway since it's Rihanna.

This is the kind of bulls**t that happens when you don't give a s**t about your music anymore. What the hell is this incoherent bull? I can't right now. I agree. This sounds as though they thew some incoherent lyrics (if you can even call that mumbo jumbo lyrics), a dancehall beat, Rihanna's bad vocals (again- WTF is it with her voice this era?! She sounds like a duck on this) and a Drake verse, mixed it all together and created this track in 10 minutes or so. Also, who did the production? It's dull. I don't like "Work" at all.

I hoped if I didn't like this in its original form, some dance remixes would be able to save it for me. I can't even imagine what any dance remixes for this would sound like.
BBHMM at least had that stellar Michael Woods remix.

I left this for a few hours and came back... and it definitely punches more already. So many subtle elements in the production that begin to pop out after repeated listens. Layering like Brandy on "don't leave me stuck here in the streeeets." <3

For all of you laughing at the "first single" comments. You know they're saying because the previous three singles are probably not on the album, right? This sounds nothing like those, so I sense the original R8 album was scrapped for whatever Anti is now going to be. Also, this is just not good. Does Anti even exist anymore? I have my doubts.

People are complaining about the slurred, incomprehensible lyrics at parts, but I think they're what set this apart from being just another forgettable by-the-number Rhythmic hit. It reminds me of how people said "We Found Love" was way too repetitive, yet all the repetition likely helped it to be a hit.

People are complaining about the slurred, incomprehensible lyrics at parts How many people had NO IDEA what Saint Aaliyah was saying the first time they heard "Are You That Somebody?" Is that not one of the greatest songs of all time though??

This was NOT a rush release. You can hate it all you want, but there is a new interview with Sevn Thomas (producer of the song) that said it was created during the "End of summer" at a pool party at Drake's house. So this song is probably 4 months old. and it will KILL on radio

Chuckling @ the WMN comparisons for trying to measure how this will do, when that was 5 years ago - long enough that the comparison shouldn't be able to hold on any kind of merits, IMO.
Anyways...this work-work-work-work-works as being mindlessly catchy to the point where I can't really complain about any of the underlying elements underneath.

Finally getting #Justice4WatchNLearn! Also RollingStone can go off themselves somewhere because this is not Tropical House. This is straight up dancehall.

I remember people on other sites (I'm not sure about this one), saying "Diamonds" would not be a big hit because it wasn't fast and catchy enough compared to the Loud nad TTT singles, and look what happened there. We needn't underestimate Rihanna!
