That was quick! Another album from Thalia on its way. It's been only a year and 2 months since her last one. Desde Esa Noche is the first single.
Interesting this reggaeton single comes out basically at the same time as Paulina's latest single which has a reggaeton version being promoted. Let's see which one does better on the charts. So far today Thalia is #10 on the Latin chart of iTunes. Paulina is on #70 or so, but the pop version of her song, not the reggaeton one. The reggaeton one is nowhere to be found.
30 years after, the rivalry between both of them continues ;)

I like it. (obviously referring to the Thalia song and nothing that has to do with Alcoholic Rubio)

Like random people on the street would know who they are? Or are they more famous with their own followers or people who really known about the music biz? I think Paulina had a tv show at one point, right? I don't know if the TV in Spain showed or shows novelas and perhaps they know Thalia from back in the day, the 90s and the huge novelas she had? Btw, your name made me smile. :) It made me think of the relaxing cup of café con leche, ha ha. What? more than 2 years ago already perhaps, right? That was so funny. I still have a dance mix of it that was actually so so cool.

I would say most people know Thalia for Tú y Yo and Arrasando, which were mild hits here. Paulina is known around here but mostly for being a drunken mess. She's what Spanish people would call hortera...very tacky. I think Thalia and Paulina are known the same amount but Paulina a little more for her antics and putting on a fake castellano accent when she's here. I always jump at the chance to promote and talk about Thalia (and Belinda) around here. In fact, I sang PIEL MORENA and EN LA OBSCURIDAD (by Belinda) at Karaoke the other night. So many people knew the words, which surprised me. Paulina's new song is sometimes played on the current season of GHVIP.

I'm in love with this song. I think I've just played it 10 times in a row. I was at Premio Lo Nuestro when I saw Maluma and Thalia perform it, that was also my first time hearing it.

I won't with the Paulina digs...but yeah this song is cute. I haven't been super into Thalia in a while but I'm liking this - maybe its the inclusion of Maluma but its working.

I was also at Billboard Latin and Premios Juventud last year. I got in for free because I signed up to be a seatfiller and the website I joined does 4 Latin music award shows a year. Maluma and Thalia weren't in the audience at all throughout the night. But they had a cute little performance and lip synced for their lives.
