I really wish this would have gotten OTV since I like this song better than Tucker's but in reality, Tucker's song was probably the right choice because I don't think Tucker's song would have done anything on the charts without OTV. "Sleep Without You" will probably climb the charts just fine without OTV. Just not as quick obviously.

"Sleep Without You" is the fourth most added song on Mediabase this week with 30 adds on impact day. 51 total historic stations. That's really good for a debut single.

Heard this on the radio for the first time on WDSY in Pittsburgh (Y108) and man does this sound good on the radio. Very happy with how quickly it's catching on. OffIcial add date was April 11th and it's already #46 on the MB rolling chart. It's gained 206 spins since last week. Songs like "Song Number 7" and "If The Boot Fits" from bigger stars than Brett are lower on the chart and went for adds before this one. Granted both of those are single number two not a lead/debut single but it just goes to show how much radio wants to play this one. I'm no chart expert but I'll feel like in as little as two weeks it could be Top 40!

Brett Young will probably pass Brandy Clark, High Valley, Sam Hunt (Raised On It), Trace Adkins, Brothers Osborne, and LoCash. That'd give Brett a +6 which would land him right at #39. Heck so far this week if my daily estimations hold up Brett Young could pass Jordan Rager. It's very impressive how fast this is moving especially given the influx of new singles from superstars right now.

He's from California so he doesn't have that natural southern drawl to his voice but putting his voice aside the production is super fresh and contemporary. That's what draws me and I feel like a lot of people. Also the lyrical topic of the song is pretty unique too.

As we have 6 songs in freefall mode (Cole, Chase, FGL, Lee, Rascal Flatts, and Chris Stapleton) also given Brett's pace right now I really think Brett should easily get into the Top 40 next week.

Got ya haha. That is what I meant too. When I said two weeks I meant the published chart after the one coming out tomorrow night. So next Sunday night May 8th. Should have been a little more clear haha.

I'm pretty sure somebody has already mentioned this but does this guy sound like Hunter Hayes to anyone? He does to me and I like this song.

I'm pretty sure somebody has already mentioned this but does this guy sound like Hunter Hayes to anyone? He does to me and I like this song. I personally don't hear any similarities between Brett's voice and Hunter's voice. "Sleep Without You" is doing very well...a lot better than I expected, actually. It sounds like a radio hit and it's selling pretty well but I figured it would climb more slowly simply because Brett is a brand new artist. But here he is, threatening to pass Cam and Kane Brown (Kane is new too, but he had a lot of hype due to Spotify streams and iTunes sales), and SWY has already cruised past Jordan Rager, Brandy Clark, Brothers Osborne, Granger Smith, and Randy Houser. Most of those artists are either new (at radio) or fairly new as well, but I feel like many of them had more momentum and hype than Brett did. I know Cumulus and CBS both have "launch" programs similar to iHeartMedia's On The Verge, so I wonder if "Sleep Without You" was selected by either Cumulus or CBS (or both). Obviously this isn't climbing as fast as an OTV selection, but of course that's because there aren't nearly as many Cumulus and CBS stations as there are iHeartMedia stations.

I'm 99% sure this was a selection by Cumulus.

Maybe I should rephrase......they're voices are different. I guess maybe what I was getting at is I could see Hunter recording this song as well??

This song is pretty good, seems like its well on its way to a top 10 maybe a number 1. Does anyone know who wrote it?

Does anyone know who wrote it? Brett Young, Kelly Archer and Justin Ebach.

Anyone have an opinion on if "Sleep Without You" can be a top 10, top 5 or number 1?

Anyone have an opinion on if "Sleep Without You" can be a top 10, top 5 or number 1? Of course it could. Brett's song is a debut single but its already top 40 and was released last month. He's had a successful radio tour and has a strong label behind him with a radio-friendly track that's selling well for its airplay.

"Sleep Without You" got 15 adds this week. Its testing pretty decently, selling well enough for a debut single and has a strong label team behind it. This should be a future top 10 single, probably #1.

I'm really liking this one. He's got a good voice, and he sounds a bit unique, too. This song is pretty catchy too and I enjoy the lyrics and though the music video was well done, as well. <3

Thanks for the suggestion. ETA: Okay, wow, this EP really is good. His vocals on "In Case You Didn't Know" are mind-blowingly good. Damn, he can sing. He's like an actually good version of Brett Eldredge. matty005

I need to listen to his EP but this is an instant station-changer.
Anyone else getting a Sam Hunt-lite vibe? I think it's the beat and the vocal delivery.

I know Brett Young had a great radio tour and this song is selling very well but I can't be the only one shocked this is knocking on the door of the Top 30 in the next couple of weeks.
As for my thoughts on this song, I am relatively lukewarm on this. The production is nice and so is Bretts vocals but I find the melody a little lacking. But Brett is an artist with a ton of potential so I'll root for this.

I cannot get enough of this song. This has been on repeat for quite some time for me. In Case You Didn't Know off his EP is absolutely awesome too.

The Highway started playing "In Case You Didn't Know." I heard it for the first time tonight...
Wow...that one's pretty damn great. I'm not usually one for saying "that song will be huge" but that song sounds like a big hit waiting to happen. I like "Sleep Without You" well enough but "In Case You Didn't Know" is really good. That's how to write a song to that special girl.

"In Case You Didn't Know" is immaculate. The first time I listened to his EP, I fell in love with that one. Definitely one of the strongest male vocal deliveries from anything I've heard in the past couple years in country music. His voice is so damn good on that. I really want it to be a single because like you said, sabre14, I can see it being huge (bit riskier but potentially big reward). Really can't wait for his debut album to drop because I'm sold if the other half of the record is anywhere close to the quality of the tracks on the EP that we have now. Can we just swap out Brett Eldredge for this guy? Yes/yes?
