It irks me to see her pay these snakes so much damn mind, damn near basking in it, especially knowing them and how they're most likely going to use this as an example of them being "unbiased" so they can go back to roasting her later.

THIS! Like I get her being happy that her songs are being well received by her biggest haters but keep that to yourself. Nicki is extremely insecure and it shows through her social media, and the fact that 10 years later, she FINALLY got her hips pumped to match her ass.. She really needs to post less. You can't be an insecure Queen. Even as it relates to Cardi, she just casually posted to her IG LITERALLY at the start of Cardi's performance. Just like every time Cardi posts a celeb showing her love Nicki just so happens to do the same. Cardi posts a chart stat, and shortly after Nicki does the same. Y'all keep saying the Queen is unbothered, but her actions continuously say otherwise. Even in this post about Budden liking the song, she threw shots talking about her creative contributions to the songs AS IF her previous album credits look different than Cardi's. Fortunately for her she is thriving in a generation where her fanbase can easily download a song for $1.29 or stream a song for free on YouTube.

I really hate that she took the long, silent break, just to come back doing the same shit. Still throwing shots. Still seeking validation. Still giving too much. Put the music out and let it speak for itself. Damn.

To be fair, Nicki has ALWAYS posted and bragged about her chart stats, it's definitely not a new thing. She just came back to IG so that's why it's sticking out now but this has been going on for years. Always been a pet peeve, but she's not the only one to do it and most of our faves have similar insecurities that manifest differently.

I do wish she would stop feeling the need to be validated by others or any of these stats in general though, because she's far above it and it comes across kinda weird because she has too high a caliber to be caring about iTunes positions (whch the twitter barbz make it 10x WORSE ).

If anything the response to Budden/Flex/CTG and the Beats interview just showed how sensitive she really is behind all the "generous queen" stuff; it can't be easy watching people who you may have considered friends at some point turn their back on you COLLECTIVELY. 2017 was an entire year of that, people wanted entertainment to the point where they were willing to let her get crucified, people who she helped get hits (Trey). I really think the Motorsport collab/Quavo was just the breaking point, plus that was around the time her brother got arrested and people were in her comments dragging HER for that too.

I know she's probably just happy to finally see support from certain people...it's just a naive thought and I'd hate for her hopes to be let down because if anything underperforms, I don't doubt for one second that they'll switch their tone again.
