Chart date: October 7, 2016 (#23)Notes- Zacho's Weekly Top 30 is back after a two and a half month hiatus. Dropouts, the R/C ranking and the Top 10 Artists list will be edited in soon.
- The Weeknd's Starboy crowns the chart this week with a significant lead in terms of hits. Mike Perry nets his first charting as The Ocean lands at #2, Sia's The Greatest (driven completely by the version featuring Kendrick Lamar) stands at #3 and Green Day arrives at #4. The highest catalog song is Kodaline's High Hopes which debuts at #5.
- Due to the hiatus, many songs enter the chart for the first time this week. Most notable are the strong Side to Side by Ariana Grande, as well as current Hot 100 top 10 songs Closer from The Chainsmokers, Let Me Love You by DJ Snake and Cold Water by Major Lazer. Also notable is Lukas Graham's 7 Years' re-entry for a 22nd total week on the chart.
- 24K Magic by Bruno Mars should make a huge entrance next week.

Chart date: October 14, 2016 (#24)Notes- The weekly top 40 can now be found on Crownnote. The chart has been expanded to a top 40 listing as of this week. Songs will now be considered recurrent if they spend more than 20 weeks on the chart or were released more than 2 years ago. Recurrent songs must now chart within the top 20 in order to debut or re-enter on the chart and can then chart anywhere within the chart's 40 positions until they fall out of the top 40. The recurrent rule is just a way for me to attempt to keep the chart current.
- Starboy, by The Weeknd and featuring Daft Punk, rules the chart for a second week. Bruno Mars' 24K Magic debuts in the runner-up spot and could make plays for the top position in the coming weeks, though Starboy has a sizable lead at this point. Green Day's Bang Bang (4-3), Mike Perry's The Ocean (2-4) and Ariana Grande's Side to Side (6-5) round off the top 5. This marks the first trip to the top 5 for Bruno Mars, Green Day, Ariana Grande and Mike Perry (also his first charting). The Weeknd previously led the chart for a single week (May 19, 2016).
- Album releases from OneRepublic and Green Day drive a couple chart of the new entries this week. OneRepublic sees Kids new at #7 and Future Looks Good at #20. Green Day's Still Breathing enters at #12. Elsewhere, Alessia Cara, James Arthur, Nicki Minaj (featured), Chris Brown (featured), August Alsina (featured), Jeremih (featured) and Rick Ross (featured) appear on the chart for the first time. DNCE moves onto the scene with Body Moves at #33. Several re-entries also appear, in some cases helped by the expansion of the chart to 40 slots.
- The biggest gainer this week is Green Day's Bang Bang which only rose 4-3 over last week because of the strength of Starboy and 24K Magic but in many charting weeks previous would have enough hits for #1. Kodaline's High Hopes slides 5-30 and is the week's biggest loser.
- Mike Posner's I Took a Pill in Ibiza hits the 20 week mark and goes recurrent. It debuts at #1 on the Recurrent Songs tally. Over on the Top 10 Artists list, Green Day charts for the first time, entering at #1. The band (one of my favourites) benefits from my repeat listening of their new studio release Revolution Radio. OneRepublic also rides an album release to a debut on this chart, while The Chainsmokers and Jamaican dancehall artist Alkaline also make an entrance.

Chart date: October 21, 2016 (#25)Notes- The Weeknd's Starboy reigns the chart for a 3rd week with a substantial lead. Bruno Mars' 24K Magic stays at #2 is much weaker than it was last week. Could it eventually bounce back? Meanwhile, Mike Perry's The Ocean (4-3), Sia's The Greatest (6-4) and OneRepublic's Kids (8-5) round off the top 5.
- We three three re-entries this week: Creed's With Arms Wide Open (#8) is a song I NEVER get tired of and is one of my favourite songs ever, Kings of Leon's Waste a Moment is back at #11 following the album release (other songs from the album just barely missed the chart) and Jon Bellion's former #1 All Time Low (#27) re-enters. Watch closely new entries in the form of 11 Blocks by Wrabel and Capsize by FRENSHIP and Emily Warren (new at #24 and #30, respectively) as these songs could do big things in the coming weeks.
- James Arthur's Say You Won't Let Go (36-17) is the top gainer here, although I'm not too sure that the momentum will keep up. Heathens from Twenty One Pilots (10-16) gets biggest loser status.
- Recurrent Songs gets a new #1 with Creed's With Arms Wide Open. Sam Smith and Amber Run appear on this chart for the first time. Over at the Top 10 Artists list, The Weeknd returns to the summit while Kings of Leon soar in at #4 on the strength of their album release. Kanye West, who very often finds himself just outside of the top 10, re-enters for just his 2nd week. Bruno Mars is new to the chart as a revisited some of his old material this week.

Chart date: October 28, 2016 (#26)
This chart can also be found on Crownote. Notes- Another expansions! The chart is up to 50 slots as of this week. Songs which have charted for more than 20 weeks or were released over 2 years ago must now chart within the top 25 in order to debut or re-enter (more info on this in the Recurrent Songs section below).
- Not only does The Weeknd's Starboy become the first song to top my chart for 4 consecutive weeks, but it does it with a larger advantage than it led with last week. Bruno Mars' 24K Magic continues to weaken in the runner-up spot, while Mike Perry's The Ocean is also losing steam at #3. It's a different story for Wrabel's 11 Blocks though, which soars into the top 5 and could cement itself there for a while to come. Does it have a shot at #1? Rounding out the top 5 is Sia's The Greatest (4-5).
- Eminem gets the biggest debut this week as Campaign Speech launches at #11. Also notably new to the chart are NEIKED's Sexual and The Weeknd's False Alarm, both of which could have great runs ahead of them. On the re-entry front, we see a return of former #1s The Sound of Silence by Disturbed and X Ambassadors' Unsteady. The incredible Lean On from Major Lazer also finds itself back on the expanded chart.
- The top gainer this week is 11 Blocks by Wrabel (23-4) which just edges by Caprize by FRENSHIP (30-6) for the title. Green Day's Bang Bang (6-12) suffers the title of biggest loser.

Chart date: November 18, 2016 (#29)
This chart can also be found on Crownnote. Notes- I didn't post charts here on Pulse for the past two weeks, but they can be accessed by checking out my Crownnote. My charts will usually go up on Crownnote on a Thursday evening or Friday and will follow here on Pulse on the Friday or Saturday.
- I'm revamping my certification system to a system which is a little easier to keep track of. That will debut probably week after next.
- The Weeknd's Starboy continues to extend its record for most weeks at #1 with its 7th week in the top spot. It's weakening though, so who knows how much longer it'll stay there. Wrabel's 11 Blocks rebounds 3-2, Sia's The Greatest returns 4-3, NEIKED's Sexual steps 6-4 and FRENSHIP's Capsize slips 2-5.
- Current Hot 100 #1 song Black Beatles by Rae Sremmurd surges into the chart at #16 with all other debuts also looking very promising: Mike Perry's Inside the Lines (#28), Childish Gambino's Me and Your Mama (#32) and Sia's Move Your Body (#42). In addition, some very notable songs make re-entries this week: former #1's Roses by The Chainsmokers (#20) and This Girl by Kungs (#40). Adele's Hello and Major Lazer's Light It Up are chart veterans which also re-enter.
- Jon Bellion's former #1 All Time Low (6-8) has been on a huge resurgence in recent weeks and is this week's Greatest Gainer. The Greatest Loser this week is Amber Run's I Found (25-48).
Recurrent Songs (#18)Introducing the weekly ranking of recurrent songs which must reach the top 25 of Zach's Weekly Top 50 in order to debut or re-enter the chart, and can then chart anywhere in the Top 50 until they drop out. Chart date: November 25, 2016 (#30)
This chart can also be found on Crownnote. Notes- New certifications have been introduced to keep track of how well songs have performed on the chart. A full and updated list of song certifications will be added to the original post (along with various records and miletones) in due time.
- The Weeknd's Starboy has fallen at last after a record 7 consecutive weeks at #1. Highly Suspect score their first #1 as Wolf debuts atop the chart. Also in new at the #2 spot is Too Good To Say Goodbye from Bruno Mars, while Bruno's 24K Magic rebounds 11-5. FRENSHIP's Capsize slips is up 5-4 (forgive the typo in the table).
- New albums from Highly Suspect and Bruno Mars mean several new debuts from these artists. In addition to Wolf, Highly Suspect enter the chart with Chicago at #22 and Send Me An Angel at #45. Bruno Mars is also in with Versace on the Floor (#35) while Sean Paul, dancehall artist Mavado and Childish Gambino also get new entries.
- Highly Suspect's My Name Is Human leaps 34-6 as the week's greatest gainer. Mike Perry's The Ocean continues to slide, getting the greatest loser banner and diving 13-20. Its slippage should slow in the coming weeks though and it may even rebound.
Recurrent Songs (#19)Introducing the weekly ranking of recurrent songs which must reach the top 25 of Zach's Weekly Top 50 in order to debut or re-enter the chart, and can then chart anywhere in the Top 50 until they drop out. Chart date: December 9, 2016 (#32)
This chart can also be found on Crownnote. Notes- The Weeknd and Daft Punk replace themselves atop the top of the chart with I Feel It Coming, the first time artists have done this. Starboy falls 1-2 after a record 8 total weeks atop the chart. Keep a close eye on Rag'n'Bone Man's Human which blasts into the top 5 (24-4) this week and could challenge for the top spot next week. FRENSHIP and Emily Warren's Capsize rebounds 7-5 to score a 5th week in the top 5.
- Nevada's throwback The Mack debuts strong at #11 and could be aiming for the upper reaches of the chart over the next few weeks. Come Down by Anderson .Paak, Love Like We Used To by Captain Cuts and Bad Things from Machine Gun Kelly also enter the chart for the first time.
- The greatest gainer this week is Human by Rag'n'Bone man while The Weeknd's False Alarm gets greatest loser.

Chart date: December 16, 2016 (#33)
This chart can also be found on Crownnote. Notes- Rag'n'Bone Man leaps to #1 with Human, the 15th #1 of this chart. Still no female artist has managed to top the chart as a lead artist (ROZES and Kyla did it as featured on Roses and One Dance). The Weeknd triples up in the top 5 as Party Monster moves 7-4, joining I Feel It Coming (1-2 after 1 week) and Starboy (2-3). Nevada's The Mack also blasts 11-5.
- Only three new entries this week, all courtesy of J. Cole. His Deja Vu is in at #17, Neighbors at #31 and Immortal at #49. The Weeknd's True Colors re-enters the chart at #21 and is not in danger of slipping off again in the next few weeks.
- Anderson .Paak's Come Down grabs greatest gainer status as it surges 36-19. This song has a bright future on this chart. Sia's The Greatest slides 20-32 and is the greatest loser.
List of Recurrent Songs and Top 10 Artists will be posted soon.

Chart date: December 30, 2016 (#35)
This chart can also be found on Crownnote. Notes- Human by Rag'n'Bone Man continues to lead the chart while The Weeknd's Starboy, a chart beast, is steady at #2. Nevada's The Mack is up to a new peak of #3 but its momentum is done and The Weeknd's I Feel It Coming dips 3-5 and has burned out on me shockingly quickly. Clean Bandit joins the top 5 this week and gets greatest gainer honors with Rockabye. Will its momentum continue?
- There is a single new entry this week in Pentatonix's cover of the contemporary Christmas classic Mary, Did You Know?. Pentatonix also re-enter the chart at #31 with Hallelujah and DJ Snake's Let Me Love You is back in as well.
- As previously stated, Clean Bandit's Rockabye is the greatest gainer and rises 6-4. Could it soon challenge for the top spot? Meanwhile, the greatest loser is Sia's Chandelier which tumbles 19-37.

Chart date: February 17, 2017 (#42)
This chart can also be found on Crownnote. Notes- Ed Sheeran takes Shape of You back to the top of the chart for a 5th total week, but Jon Bellion's Morning in America is right on its heels. Last week's #1, Aminé's Caroline, slips to #3 this week while I Feel It Coming (4-4) from The Weeknd and Rockabye by Clean Bandit (3-5) keep in the top 5.
- Katy Perry starts strong with Chained to the Rhythm at #15 and I have no idea yet how that song is going to hold up with me in the coming weeks. Major Lazer's Run Up, a very disappointing release in my opinion, manages to debut low on the chart. Meanwhile The Chainsmokers, Adele and Jonas Blue score chart re-entries.
- Rob $tone's catchy Chill Bill gets greatest gainer honours in its second charting week, surging 27-7. The title of greatest loser goes to Kaleo's Way Down We Go but I expect for its slide to slow.
- Over on the artists chart The Weeknd stays perched at the top and with a sizable lead. Notably, his single Starboy, currently in its record-extending 20th week in the top 10 (all of its charting weeks) becomes the first song to get 7× Platinum certification and its longevity is looking likely to continue.
- Ranking of recurrent songs coming soon, if I get around to it.
