off topic but please use the space bar after you finish a sentence. It really does make your posts easier to read. Now that I looked,it does seem clumped up Maybe use the space bar after all punctuation?

Maybe just leave the whole space here Back to the original topic that for no reason at all went out of hand, isn't there a whole bunch of artists that are supposed to release stuff over the next month or so? How did someone manage to take that differently?

Damn this song suddenly just clicked with me today. I went from slightly dislike to loving this song. It's been in my head all day.
Ok ladies now let's get in formation..

I take back whatever I said about this. I was deaf. I was blind. But I now see the light. This is MASSIVE and her catchiest song since Single Ladies.

I miss the music that made her famous. I haven't connected with anything that she's put out since I Am...

This has grown on me as well. But I'd prefer she'd do something in the same vein of I Am.... Either way I'm happy for some new music.

And it's also under Cool New Music, as Juan Carlos posted on page 4.

Both pop stations in my area have started playing this often, now (just heard it). They both completely ignored her last album sorry for the bump, just realised after posting

I just find it weird they didn't play more pop leaning songs like XO or Pretty Hurts, but are playing Formation, which is closer to urban like Drunk In Love than it is to pop. Formation has also yet to chart here while everything from XO to 7/11 has, with XO getting to #15 and Drunk In Love #10. Just something weird I noticed :)

You mean Pop ignored her, I assume? "XO" is Ryan Tedder factory pop that pandered to the format.

Really? I thought those singles had picked up on their own.

Really? I thought those singles had picked up on their own. Nope. XO was always the pop single while Drunk in Love was the urban single. But XO peaked early and started falling while Drunk in Love started gaining on pop, eventually getting a push there as well (like Truffle Butter).

I think "Drunk In Love" was sent to pop because "XO" basically flopped and "Drunk In Love" got performed at the Grammy's and took off.

If my memory serves me right (and I think it does), Drunk in Love was never sent to pop.

Maybe it never had an adds date, but that doesn't mean it wasn't sent to pop. If it appears under Cool New Music, which it was, then it was sent either via email or disc to pop stations. A song that was never pushed at all to pop would never make it all the way to #12, especially when their previous single only made it to #16 and their previous album spawned only one minor pop hit.
