True, but catchiness plays a bigger role into a song's success than its quality. That is true, but in my opinion, "Sober" is a song you're going to belt out whenever you hear it.

WHY. WHY. WHYYYYYYYYY. Did they promise Benny Blanco or Rock Mafia it would be a single?! Or is this Selena's favorite song?! UGH. WHYYYYYYYY.
Please kill this with fire and replace it with either Sober or Me & The Rhythm, preferably the latter!
In a perfect world, they would have went with M&TR next and then Sober for the fall as the last single before releasing the lead single for the next era.

Lmao
Ne & The Rythem is the song of the album. This and Hands To Myself are average at best, catchy songs that will chart moderately well. Why not release a smash and get into the top 5 again?

Just why.. I liked it at first but it's one of my least favorites on 'Revival'.

Catchy translates to easy hit 99% of the time. A strong hook is going to be more successful than anything, and labels care more about their bottom line than the quality of the songs they're putting out.

I think they're going for an easy radio hit here, rather than risking "Sober" in the wrong time of year. Why it couldn't have been "Me & the Rhythm" though, idk. It sounds like a real summer smash to me.

With Me & The Rhythm, I suppose you could say that Interscope wasn't enamored with the buzz + sales the song received as an instant gratification. I'm on the fence about that one. It's undoubtedly catchy, but it does feel a bit regressive.

First single of this era I'm not on board with. Should've been Me & The Rhythm for late spring and summer followed by Sober in Fall.

I think this will end both her streak of #1's on Pop and her streak of Top 10's on the Hot 100, but that's all I'm predicting for now.

Yeah, I'm thinking top 30 on the Hot 100 and top 10 on Pop at the moment (kind of like how Slow Down did).

KILL EM...KILL EM...KILL EM on the charts, Selena! The whistling is so catchy. I put it on a party playlist a couple months ago and it was one of the songs that people asked the most about.

I'm genuinely curious Hot 100 - I'd say 25 due to radio(Pop) and streaming( Some music Video to surge streams). I see sales as a big downfall. Pop Songs - #5 at best but probably 8-12. Streaming - If it even enters the top 25 I'd say 20. Digital Chart - 19 Radio - 24

I see this doing miles worse than the three singles, but honestly, I think anything she releases will fail in comparison. Even my fave "Sober".

I am really confused as to why she/her team think this will be a better choice than Sober. That one, to me, seemed like the most obvious smash left on the album. This one is isn't bad but it's just kinda there on the tracklist.

This song just doesn't really go anywhere interesting. It's catchy, but it sounds more like radio filler and less like radio smash.
I can see it getting lost in the shuffle between Top 10 and 20, but it's tough to predict. I expected "Company" and "New Romantics" to perform better as singles, but one is treading water and the other is dead on radio despite decent sales. Part of me can't imagine this filler song catching on if those couldn't, but watch Selegend prove me wrong. <3

This is perfectly listenable, it just lacks the hook of her previous singles and doesn't really go anywhere. But the instrumental has a nice groove once it kicks in and it's got a pleasant vibe overall. It'll be a filler song on radio, but sometimes, that's what radio wants. An inoffensive song that won't have people changing the station.
I see this peaking 7-15 at radio. Maybe top 30-40 on the Hot 100. I can't imagine the digital sales being high for this at this point in the album cycle.

Confirmed by her as the 4th Revival single. Are you ready for the anthem of our generation? Poor Sober though.I'm 37 years old, and I'm guessing that you're at least five years younger than me, correct?
