This is solid as expected. These guys never disappoint. It's not as good as "Fallen" or "Lola Montez", but its still quite epic. They might have my favorite vocals in rock music.

Wow! Very melodic. Reminds me of "Heaven Nor Hell" ; the only other song I like from this band. Killer Guitar Solo. This will go to #1. Download? Check.

Album's called " Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie", and will be out on June 3. Hahahaha, yes. This title is way too Volbeat for me to handle. And speaking of "way too Volbeat for me to handle", VOLBEAT. Three long years since their last album, and this new song is distinctly Volbeat. I am also, on a related note, distinctly satisfied.

Sounds good to me. I definitely think it sounds the most like "Heaven Nor Hell." I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of their new album.

Amazing. Just like the singles off Outlaw and From Heaven. I'm sure I'm going to enjoy their new album once it drops.
It'll go #1 on Active, and Alternative will give it the cold shoulder because they don't like heavy music.
Not to mention the lyrics are very Volbeat-style as well.

"The Hangman's Body Count" reached #40, and "Lola Montez" reached #41, so Alt isn't completely opposed to them. Yet.
I'm indifferent on their standing on Alt, honestly. They have some alternative elements but not a strong as claim as Highly Suspect, Royal Blood, etc.

Finally listened to it, and well...it's a Volbeat song. Ain't bad, but I like it way less then some of their other singles (Doc Holiday, Still Counting, and Hangman's Body Count in particular), as it feels kind of forgettable. Should smash though, top 20 debut seems likely.

To be honest, I don't understand why this band is so hugely popular. They're so homogeneous. They're one of those bands like AC/DC who never try anything outside of their formula. I mean, all their songs sound exactly the same to me, and their singer has like no vocal range at all.
I don't know, maybe I'm being too hard on them, but, like, I heard this song come on the radio today for the first time and thought it was A Warrior's Call until I heard the title in the song. They're all talented instrumentalists (still don't like the vocals, though), but I really wish they'd try something less formulaic, because the typical Volbeat sound just doesn't work for me.

still don't like the vocals, though Really? Mike Poulsen IMO is a great vocalist. I don't know, but I personally feel that these guys are one of the better metal bands around; besides the vocals, their guitar work is really good and the lyrics are different from other bands in the same vein. Plus, they usually do not scream so that helps Though a poster didn't like it when I told him not to call this band generic in another thread.

Yeah I agree with Daryl the Beryl, the vocals are what set them apart. They sound like a real legit rock band., one that could have fit in any decade. I will admit there is a little bit of similarity in a few of their songs, but overall I see quite a bit of variety in their singles ("Doc Holliday" is quite different than "Fallen"). I concur that they're right up there with the best Active bands like Deftones and Foo Fighters.

To me it's not important if a band try new things or not. I'd rather they stick to their hit making sound. I'm not a fan of change or surprise. Why fix what's not broken to begin with? However; I too regard a band's vocals to be of up most importance. I mean; If I don't like the vocals works; which includes effects, autotune etc..., I just tune out to the song. I can appreciate this being a good reason why you don't approve of the song. This time around; I happen to like Volbeat vocals as they are used in this song. This particular song is heavy on hard rock guitar, so that does wonders for me. I'm already guessing this will be the big #1 song on Active's 2016 year?

I mean, all their songs sound exactly the same to me, and their singer has like no vocal range at all. Honestly, I get why "sticking to the formula" can be a turnoff, but man, I've seen way too many bands try something new and fall flat on their faces. Kudos for trying, but sometimes, trying something new just doesn't work, and it can be best to just stick to what you know. Motörhead was a prime example of this. They had one style, one sound, but man, they TORE into that formula every single time. You never went into a Motörhead album thinking, "Hey, let's see what new tricks Lemmy and the gang have under their sleeve!" They worked on their formula and perfected it. Not every band can get away with this, of course, but some can, if they get their sound down to a science. I bring this up because I feel like Volbeat has a style that just works for them, and it would be pretty difficult to see them performing a song not of this style. I mean, they COULD, but I can't imagine that the results would be anything but horrible. Some bands are better off just sticking to what they know, and I feel like that's the case with Volbeat. (As an aside, as far as "all their songs sound exactly the same" is concerned, I can't think of another Volbeat song quite like "Room 24".)

Ugh, I had like a really long wordy post here and it was kind of pointless and it's been pissing me off just thinking about it because I was half awake when I typed it and it's stupid. Point is, I personally don't care for Volbeat but have nothing against them.
I'd like to see it chart on Alt. I like to see heavier acts charting, even if I don't care for them.

If Red Sun Rising can't chart, I don't think this song would.

"The Bliss" is available on iTunes, and I like it better than this one. Sounds like another huge hit waiting to happen. I need these guys do tour in the states ASAP.
