Despite its poppiness, I quite liked Over and Over. This however is pretty boring.

I like it, but "Over and Over" is better in my opinion.
Side note: Does anyone else get bothered that they're listed as "The Goo Goo Dolls" instead of "Goo Goo Dolls" on iTunes? lol I hate when iTunes does that.

I liked "Over & Over" a lot, but i can see why they went with this one first! It takes about 3 listens. I love the lyrics and meaning behind it. I let my wife who struggled with addiction in the past hear it and it brought her to tears. I think it has a modern feel to it and Johnny's vocals sound fresh so i wouldn't be surprised if it went Top 20 at Hot AC.

It's nice to see one rock band able to do well on Hot AC with everyone else in that era flopping. I hope this could approach the Top 10.

Yeah, I don't even love the song, but I want it to do well on principle.

Rob Thomas, Coldplay, and now Goo Goo Dolls. All have turned their back on the edgier music that made them 90's icons to begin with. "Over & Over" was passable, but this don't sound like Goo Goo Dolls anymore. I'll Pass.

Wow I had no idea this was gonna do something. I hope it goes top 10 to help their hot ac record. Don't they have the most top 10s on the format? I think when you count rob and mb songs together they win but I think just going by individual goo are 1? This would really help

Goo Goo Dolls have 12 (7th place).

How come I always hear that GGD have the record? What record do they have Goo Goo Dolls no longer hold the record for anything at Hot AC. They used to hold the record for most charted songs by a group (20), but now they're 3rd as Maroon 5 and Train (22 each) have passed them.

Oh, so they will probably be #1 again after this era.

Oh, so they will probably be #1 again after this era. I'd say so for now until Train or Maroon 5 release new material. The Goo's have had an impressive career no one can argue that. It's been 20 years since "Name". However, this format king is Rob Thomas/Matchbox Twenty. Matchbox 20 have charted "Push", "3am", "Real World", "Back 2 Good", "Bent", "If You're Gone", "Mad Season", "Last Beautiful Girl", "Disease", "Unwell", "Bright Lights", "Downfall", "How Far We've Come", "These Hard Times", "She's So Mean", "Overjoyed" & "Our Song" while Rob has charted "Smooth" with Santana, "Lonely No More", "This Is How A Heartbreaks", "Ever The Same", "Streetcorner Symphony", "Little Wonders", "Her Diamonds", "Someday", "Mockingbird", "Trust You" & "Hold On Forever". That is 17 for Matchbox 20 and 11 for Rob Thomas= 28 charted hits *Also "Pieces" is set to be released to radio to promote Rob's solo tour with Counting Crows in July. So that will be (29) come July!

I don't think it is technically fair to include Rob solo though. Yes they have been very impressive but Johnny never did any solo stuff besides one song (and I believe it did go top 10) I think it is fair to say if Johnny wanted a solo career during the early 2000s he also would have racked up top 10s. The tour of mb and ggd together a few years ago was pretty awesome.

I'm starting to really like this. Their new album is pretty good too. I hope "Boxes" gets released as a single.
