I would rather a collaboration for them be an original and not a remix.

It would just be stupid to not capitalize on Drake right now. I'll never understand why more artists do not work together. I guess I imagine it is because of strictly label politics, because why else? Both Drake and Adele have said they would love working with one another, and it isn't like Drake is some Z List star, both of them are two of the biggest artists in the world right now. It would be an absolute sure fire explosion of a hit if Drake hopped on this track. Even with a quick 20 second verse of singing. Ideally, I'd like a nice 8 bar rap intro then 8 bar bridge sing I'm all for artists working together but the bottom line is that it has to be good. A bad/lazy remix of SML with Drake may generate some initial interest but isn't going to do much good in the long run. If it actually makes sense and is good, that'd be great. We've seen it go either way...despite being two of the biggest names ever in music, who would have thought Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney could make a song as bad as "The Girl is Mine"?

Back when the album came out this was THE ( only) track I've bought. So glad it's a single now. Something completely unusual and fresh from her :)

If Drake and Adele were gonna do any kind of collab together, it should've been for Hotline Bling. Send My Love is perfectly fine with just Adele. No, the song is missing something. I always thought that. It just doesn't go anywhere after the second verse. And then it does that little pause songs do sometimes towards the end, followed by the same chorus (again) except just a little louder. Whether is Drake or someone else...the song does need something to elevate it.

I've yet to hear this on the radio. Oddly enough, on the main station I listen to, Hello didn't get that much airplay while it was a single and almost nothing now, however, When We Were Young has been played a couple of times almost daily since January/February. That's still my favourite single so far. Have yet to listen to this in full yet but I can tell I am not a fan of the chorus :/

Hoping these are just rumors. Bottom line is that she doesn't need Drake to garner a hit.

Would LOVE to hear what Drake could do with it.

A verse from a male singer/songwriter would work well - as in a response to the message of the song. Someone like Ed Sheeran/James Bay/Bruno Mars etc. I think a rap verse would ruin the song. I'm perfectly happy with the way it is though, doesn't need anything added for me.

Uh they better not add a rapper. As it is, this is so left field for Adele, adding a rapper would be so damn cheesy at this point. This song is going to smash on its own.
Now a remix I thought would have worked was Rumor Has It featuring Bruno Mars. That would have been awesome.

I love her to death but I am not convinced that this will be the super-sized hit that people here seem to be expecting. Yes, she lost some momentum, but beyond that, this song, if i remember several reviews correctly, has often been called the album's dull moment. Most of my friends stan for Adele but none of us really like this one.
It is just one of those songs that try way too hard to become hits - that being said, I'd of course be happy for her if radio jumps on board.

Keep Drake and his monotone voice away from this.

I stand by my opinion that this song is perfect the way it is and adding anyone would drag it down.
The only person that could maybe be added is Ed Sheeran since this already sounds like something from x.
And I don't get why everyone wants Drake on this. I just cannot picture Drake on this at all. It would sound just too out of place to be good. Let Adele and Drake make an original song together that plays to both of their sounds. That is something I'd want to hear.

I think he means it being cheaply done as a last-ditch attempt to desperately breathe life into a single.
In that case, Katy's impact indeed.

Except people were doing it long before Katy... Sure, but the whole "add a rapper" thing refers directly to Katy and not anyone else.

Because when Taylor did it, Kendrick actually added depth to the song. The production changed fairly drastically, he had more than just a mediocre verse taking place of the bridge, and it actually made the remix something worth listening to. It was a true duet rather than the same song with a rapper coming in for 16 bars and leaving.

Hoping these are just rumors. Bottom line is that she doesn't need Drake to garner a hit. No one said she needed him for a hit. She doesn't need any hits. It would just be a passion project for them both. Neither of them need any help with hits. That's what makes this a true collaboration.

Am I really reading that Katy Perry of all people started the trend of rap remixes? I know I must be seeing things...
