This has been one of the best mostly alternative years so far. So many actual alternative songs.

Yeah... this has probably been the best year in awhile for me as well so far. The last few years have been horribly boring on Alternative for me, but even the indie songs are pretty good. A year or two ago, I might have disliked half of the chart, but now I like probably 85 or 90% of it.

I don't know if my relative lack of interest in 2016 so far has been due me simply not liking the music as much as in past years, or due to my lack of time to devote to new music. Either way, I have to respectfully disagree with the direction of the discussion here.

This has been one of the best years in a while. Still not as good as 2010-2012, but that's looking more impossible to accomplish with each passing year.

I'll take the chart now over the s**tfest that was 2014 any day. and 2013! I didn't really follow the charts 100% then. Just the great Indie Pop songs of that year, but as far as untapped indie songs are concerned, those two were banner years of music for me.

This has grown on me a lot. It's amazing, they never disappoint. The best alternative song of this year so far.

Even though I'd say "HandClap" is my favorite on the chart, but this is by far the best quality song on the chart right now. These guys are absolutely outstanding.

Pretty Pimpin is great, but not that great. I could name many War on Drugs songs better than it.

They both have "Give me something to believe in" as the hook- other than that they're nothing alike, but still can't listen to song without thinking about hair metal

Thankfully I never knew Poison said that otherwise it would suck think of anything sung by Brett Michaels after he made a fool of himself on tv.

They probably won't make top ten because wrong place, wrong time(RHCP, Blink, KONGOs, Lumineers, and actually really good songs like "Way Down We Go").
