I don't think she's getting any Pop hits with this album. But this will smash Urban, definitely the best single choice.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I just don't see this being a hit. Maybe it hasn't fully clicked with me yet. I was hoping for 6 Inch or Hold up (or even Freedom).

Wonderful choice, even if I prefer "6 Inch" and "Freedom". Those are just begging to be released at some point. Hopefully this is a hit for her though!

I doubt this will do anything significant on Pop. Maybe Top 20.

I have no idea why this one is performing so well. It's far down the list for me.
And honestly, as far as which song from the album has the best potential for pop radio, "Daddy Lessons" says hello.

Just the Clip part of "SORRY" I remember seeing something a few weeks ago that said she had 13 videos on YouTube waiting to be posted or something The film has a music video for every song on the album. I am sure they will just use each video and release those. Some were edited a little more than others with a verse cut out of the feature being cut out but I am sure they have other versions ready to go that just took a little extra time to edit.

Sorry is confirmed as single in us. Going urban, rhythmic add this week. From hdd
No official word for pop add yet. But There's rumor in twitter saying pop add next week.
Sorry is already #35 urban, #40 rhythmic

Debuts at #11 on the Hot 100, one place below "Formation."
Not that I'm complaining, but "Formation" had a MASSIVE sales lead all week plus obviously has way more airplay. How does the math work that only one chart position separates the two?

Sorry possible had more Tidal streams and airplay. Well, we know it didn't have more airplay since "Formation" was still top 10 at Urban radio for most of the week in addition to its top 40 placement at Rhythmic. As for Tidal streams, Tidal has never been a force player on the charts.

Per Billboard, "Sorry" had more than twice as many streams: 14.2 million versus 6.5 million. But you're right, Formation had a big edge in sales (though Billboard's article seems to have a typo, as I've seen reports saying Sorry did the third most sales, but the article implies 6 Inch sold more) and, presumably, airplay (unless there was something weird about how Billboard tracked it).
That said, there's nothing to say they were THAT close in terms of points: it may simply mean that there was a REALLY BIG GAP between the #9 song and the #12 song.

Should have been Hold Up for Pop. I agree, and "Hold Up" should be the first international single too. This song isn't a pop hit, but now that it's possible for urban songs to go to top 10 on the Hot 100 again, I care less and less about pop peaks. Especially for songs that aren't pop.

Either AllAccess screwed up or Columbia decided to wait, as it's no longer listed there.

Either AllAccess screwed up or Columbia decided to wait, as it's no longer listed there. Won't be surprised if they decided to push it back a little for more likelihood of crossing over as seen from the recent Urban songs.

I think the "I ain't sorry" part is pretty catchy and could do well at pop radio.

Hold Up should be a single before this, heck it should be a contender for song of the summer, it has a very nice chill and laid backed feel to it.

Eh. Hold Up should definitely be the international single. But she doesn't need a double release here. I don't even think those work anymore. Hold Up can be a hit at anytime. Sorry is benefiting from the Becky stuff and viral things at the moment. Let it be successful now. Hold Up can smash at any time.

As for Tidal streams, Tidal has never been a force player on the charts. They were this time around. Check out the streaming chart, despite Beyoncé only being on Tidal, she is owning it. And that is what caused the placement of the songs. Sorry is #3 on the on demand streaming chart. Formation is #23. Overall, that places Sorry at #8 on the streaming chart and Formation at #43.
