Confirmed single across the board. Obviously a huge Urban smash. Probably a Rhythmic smash too.
"Becky with the good hair" is already a household name so this song is already legendary.

Yasss! Most commercial song on the album. All that. It's everything. Smash.

I love the video for this, even those awkward and horribly unsexy Serena twerking shots.

This is going to annoy me with this being a hit, but I want a smash (several, actually. Long overdue for those massive, crossover hit) & this can deliver that, so I will deal & take this. Lol

Runaway smash on Urban and Rhythmic, ideally paving the way for the rest of the quartet from Hold Up through 6 Inch to follow suit, and Freedom as well.

This is going to smash. Heard it on the radio yesterday and almost crashed.

Obvious single choice. Catchy and controversial as hell.

Urban smash. Finally, her record label seems to be doing something right for a change.

I don't really get the hype for this one, but she's long overdue for a big hit so if this can do it, good for her.

I see it growing steadily on Urban but is it really confirmed as a single?

The reaction in here to this (like Rihanna's latest tracks) is another example - for me - of am i really just not getting it? or is this board have fandom/standom making it seem like more of a potential smash than it actually is to the general public... including me? i don't think it's bad, and i see some potential, but it's not screaming radio smash to me by any means. maybe in the context of the rest of the album, but not in the context of radio.
i don't know. but i do love that she's not taking the easy route. she's challenging herself and the listeners (big fans and casual fans alike). at least compared to her older catalog of songs.

Yeah, stanning in threads can definitely give you a skewed perspective. But "Sorry" was top 3 at iTunes for days, and it is getting more airplay than the other tracks on the album not named "Formation," so there is reason for people to view it as a potential hit. I just don't see what is so great about it. It has very minimal production, not much of a melody, and the chorus is pretty repetitive.

I don't think anyone in here was referring to anything other than its urban/rhythmic potential, so if you were factoring overall airplay into that, that is where the disconnect lies. Urban and rhythmic will all but cave under the weight of spins Sorry is going to get from them, but I have a hard time imagining it doing any real damage on CHR. This really holds true for the whole album, but if she were going to send something to pop, I would have taken a gamble on either 6 Inch (capitalizes on The Weeknd's recent favor there) or Hold Up (which is just reminiscent enough of the light-but-catchy production for stuff like Love Yourself or Hands to Myself that pop fans might get into it). But related to what jenglisbe said, I figure they went with Sorry across the board due to it getting the strongest reaction upon the album's release.

I would have thought the airplay would help it rise above "Hold Up" on iTunes.

I would have thought the airplay would help it rise above "Hold Up" on iTunes. "Hold Up" is listed under Hot Tracks on iTunes, while "Sorry" is not.

I'm glad no other track is getting major airplay. Kind of expected to see Hold Up charting but I'm glad radio is waiting to play it until it is an official single. We don't want a Feeling Myself / Truffle Butter type situation again!

This song is SICK.
The best Beyoncè song in forever. This will smash instantly. She should make another video just to slay us again.
