Don't Mind or Cold Water would be my two choices besides the current top 3.

Maybe that doesn't belong here but Zara Larssons Lush Life was quite big hit here in Finland last summer and fall, but what about US? Is it gonna smash there now, at least it was on spotify charts near top-20 couple months ago. It was sent to radio a couple times but it didn't do anything. It's the perfect time for another push imo, now that summer's here (bc it really is a summer song) and it's done well in other territories and "Never Forget You" has done so well here.

Potential candidates for future number ones: Spirits (perhaps inspired by one of the conventions?), Bonbon, and Gold. Among others already charting: This is What You Came Here For, Send My Love, and You Don't Own Me. Can you explain to me what some of those first three are? I only recognize Gold. Spirits is an alternative song by the Canadian group the Strumbellas. It's been close to the top of the alternative charts for a while and has been in bubbling under for the last few weeks. Bonbon is a song by Albanian singer Era Istrefi that has been making appearances in charts around the globe. She has been compared to Sia and Rhianna.

^^^^ Bonbon is such a fierce jam I had wished Rihanna recorded.^^^^^^ When it first came out I waited for just an English version to be released. It never came out so I sucked it up and bought it. Though I only know half the words because it's not all in english it's still one of my top songs that came out in the last 6 months. I stuck it on my car ride mixes and it took one of my friends a few listens to even notice that it wasn't all in english. She actually assumed it was Rihanna for awhile. This song could SMASH if given a chance. This was such a SCORE when I first heard it months ago here on the Pulse Board.

I found all of them now except Cold Water. What even is that song? Cold Water is Major Lazer's next single from their upcoming album. It features Bieber and M O. It's supposed to be released in a couple weeks. I linked to an article from Pitchfork about it earlier in this thread.

Yeah, what we did to rule out DLMD is I think what we are gonna do to rule out Cold Water. I'd say Don't Mind and Cheap Thrills have the best chances.

It would be lovely if Cheap Thrills is next #1 although I have overplayed it already. And still hope that Send My Love goes to #1 or at least top-10 and spends some weeks there. But it feels like One Dance and CSTF changing places for a while.

I'm gonna go with Don't Mind. I just see it blowing up like crazy in late July or early August...

Yeah, what we did to rule out DLMD is I think what we are gonna do to rule out Cold Water Honestly, I think Cold Water is gonna suffer because they are waiting too long to release it. The hype for the song was a couple weeks ago, and most people forgot about it now

"One Dance" is gonna be at the top for a while, since there aren't many songs that I think will be able to make it there. I would put my money on "Don't Mind" though.

Between Rise, Cold Water, and Make Me, there are gonna be some crazy high debuts next week. Can't see any of them debuting at #1, but they will all probably debut in the top 25, and some will probably debut in the top 10.

Don't Mind: Hell no, it'd be luck to make top 10 Controlla: Drake already had a hell of a struggle to get his first one Too Good: Same as above Needed Me: It's gonna probably peak at 6 or 7 unless something big happens Love On The Brain: No, this isn't a single yet and won't be anytime soon for sure cause Needed Me & KIB & the Calvin collab This Is What You Came For: Highly doubt it Send My Love: probz top 10, but not number 1 Don't Let Me Down: Will probably peak at 4 or 3. Just Like Fire: Will go top ten, not sure about number 1, maybe if it picks up on stremaing soon Ride: Surely not going to outpeak Stressed Out Messin Around: Nope, pretty sure no one wants this anyways Sorry: Not until Bey puts Lemonade on Youtube & Spotify, but still doubt it will go that high Oddly enough I predicted the peak of Needed Me (7), Send My Love just entered the top ten, DLMD peaked at 3, & Just Like Fire went top ten.

Cold Water isn't going to debut next week. It'll be the August 13 week that it debuts because it just dropped today. And Make Me is falling on iTunes, so we'll see where that ends up in the long term.
Initially I thought This Is What You Came For would be the next #1, but everyone I've seen is saying Cheap Thrills is next up. I'd be game for that. And although I don't like the song, I don't care if Rise hits #1. But Billboard needs to stop it with this obsession for Drake already... I don't want One Dance to pass Uptown Funk as the longest running #1 of the decade (and century with We Belong Together and I Gotta Feeling, for that matter).

Cheap Thrills. Then if Calvin discounts TIWYCF then that. If not, Too Good will follow in a few weeks.

I doubt One Dance has a chance to break that record. Wasn't Uptown Funk still getting at least 50k weekly points at this point in its run? The only reason it was unseated was because another mega-hit surged in points. One Dance is so much weaker at this point that I'm pretty sure the next moderately strong #1 will unseat it. Unless the video gives it massive streams, I'm thinking the run is gonna be over in a couple weeks.

Bonbon is like any pop song out there, each market has its own.
Would be great if a Balkan artist got a hit in the US though

"Cold Water" is definitely a contender for the next #1. Maybe not #1 this week, but possibly in the next few weeks.

"Cold Water" is definitely a contender for the next #1. Maybe not #1 this week, but possibly in the next few weeks. Yeah... Spotify is crazy high and Airplay is increasing rapidly. A performance at VMA and a good video would give it a great shot (as Cheap Thrills will start cooling down by that rime).

"This Is What You Came For" could possibly pull it off, although I doubt it.

I think "Cold Water" will be #1 next.
Drake could easily take it with either "Too Good" or "Controlla" if he gives either full promo treatment (a video at the very least!) but other than that, I think we'l have to wait for the VMA's and the late summer releases to see how things shake out.

"This Is What You Came For" could possibly pull it off, although I doubt it. I thought it could pull it off, until it started slowing down (only around .2M gains) and when Cheap Thrills kept getting big gains at the same time (1M gains). Oh, and I made predictions for what the top 3 should look like each week over the next 5 weeks, assuming TIWYCF is about to fall on radio: The peaks and positions in each of the 5 weeks wouldn't change even if TIWYCF resurged on radio (click on the spoiler below to see what it would look like) {Spoiler}
