I don't know if this has been proposed but I think it might be a good idea. What if we added a Spanish Language portion to the Nostalgia forum....or even just International. We have a lot of posters in the Latino forum and I think it would be a great addition to add to the Nostalgia forum a place for us to reflect on older Spanish Language hits from the US, Latin America and Spain; it doesn't even need to be organized by decade. I have tried to post Spanish nostalgia posts (in English) in the nostalgia forum and they are often over looked. I think it would be a great way to organize those posts as well.

There are a lot of posters in the Latin forum? Perhaps I exaggerated there. But, I feel like a Hispanic Music Nostalgia sub forum would get much more posts then the 1920s-1960s portion of the current nostalgia forum at the very least

I would support a section like that if we can reminisce about Gloria Trevi, Alejandra Guzman, Selena, Thalia, Luis Fonsi, and David Bisbal.

We can't post them in the Latino forum (besides the fact David Bisbal, Marta Sanchez, Monica Naranjo, Mecano etc are not Latino) because they have hits that are not recent and once posted in the nostalgia forum by corresponding year they get lost! I think staff should seriously consider this for those who love Latina/Spanish music!! Hell, even a strictly international music nostalgia forum would be a great addition.

I guess I was hoping for some conversation with staff about this but is it just not something to even consider?

Oops; I saw your tag the other day, closed the tab after thinking "I never post in Nostalgia, so I'll think about it and let others chime in," and then saw this thread pop up again now.
I'd rather not do any more dividing of songs in the Nostalgia forum considering how many subforums there are already and the fact that Hispanic songs would also fit into the decade forums, so what about a thread tag? That's what we used when we were labeling threads to be moved, so we could add a tag/label (I forget what ProBoards calls them) for "Hispanic" and you'd be able to click that to see more of them (I'm not sure if it'd show all threads marked Hispanic or just the ones in that decade subforum).
Ultimately, I never use this forum, so I'm in favor of whatever those who do would prefer, as long as it doesn't require a ton of work or upkeep (organizing everything over here took several people and several weeks).

I think it would be a great idea to help offset the damage people like Jennifer Lopez have done to the hispanic music reputation. Great way to show there is actually talent there which there is.
