This album is in the middle of the pack, as far as my favorite albums of hers go, but it was so refreshing to hear when it was released. AllMusic gave the album 4/5 stars:

I love practically all of the songs on this record, but I rarely listen to it beginning to end. "Why Do I Feel So Sad" remains one of my all time favorite songs of hers.

I don't revisit most of this album very often. It's not bad, just hasn't held up as well as her other albums IMO. I'd probably rank it last if I had to rank her albums.
"Troubles", "Rock Wit U", "A Woman's Worth", "The Life" and "Why Do I Feel So Sad" are my favs and the ones I play the most.

Fantastic album. Despite it being her biggest, I'm more likely to listen to Diary or As I Am, but this is such a solid album.

Good debut. The singles are definitely the stand outs as they produced the most nostalgia for me. I do like all the tracks. My faves are Rock Wit U, Lovin' U, The Life, Goodbye, and Jane Doe.
