I'm a Demi fan, but I'm dying at this nomination. I'm so dead. I really can't. Lmao. This is hilarious.
Here I thought she had a .01% of a nomination off of one of her collaborations (maybe the FOB video), but this shit happens. Wtf.

I am shook that she got nominated and for the album as a whole. (Because let's be honest, she deserved it years ago for Demi, not for this). But good for her. Now maybe she can let go of that "time off" she was gonna take and release something.

I do think she's probably been struggling a bit with her mental health this past year, so this nomination could be a good thing for her. The time off as well TBH. But, I think she'll take this as a sign to go back in the studio.

Glad she got this much needed self-esteem boost. I feel she struggles with that daily despite how far she has come. Now can we get some HWGA-tier music again!? I'd love a Stone Cold Grammy performance even if it's been performed to death.

She said in an interview a couple days ago that she's already been in the studio (before hastily reiterating she was "on a break.") She was so thirsty for a Grammy nom when she released Confident that I would be shocked if she doesn't have a new album prepped and ready to go February 10th.
She took this break for attention, let's be honest. Like that time she quit social media for 24 hours.

Wow, it's really unexpected, but rather deserving. Confident served us some really great vocals, so I'm glad to see it was nominated for that. It's has no chance of winning, but even to be nominated is a feat.
Hopefully this helps her out mentally.

I think it would be really smart to have a new pop-ballad single ready to perform at the Grammys!

I'd love a Stone Cold Grammy performance even if it's been performed to death. Maybe I'm just old and have become a bitter jaded Betty but everytime she performs "Stone Cold" live I laugh. She is SO over the top with it. I know it means a lot to her and the message behind it is nice and I don't want to disrespect her feeling behind it. However when she goes from 0-10 in 30 seconds with over emotional face spasms and is in near tears I just end up laughing. Plus you can tell she "thinks" she is giving you emotions......lol To much and almost not natural.

Perform Lionheart at the Grammys please. It just came on my phone and it has officially become my favorite song on the album. It's so beautiful. It would also be appropriate, given recent turn of events.

Anyone remember the time when she was goth Hannah Montana, lol jk Anyways, honestly Unbroken era was just SPECTACULAR, she was confident and powerful it was effortless, I mean just look at these vids Unbroken was literally her ideal album cause it balanced fun and serious so well.

Did anyone see where she posted a snippet in the studio?? It was amazinggggggggggggg I heard it! It seemed a bit strained, just like some of her high notes in the "Confident" album. However, I'm really looking forward to her new album <3

The note sustained (Eb5) was actually pretty good and showed some progress with respect to her vocal technique. The note that followed (F5) did not - strained af. But I guess that's what she was going for.

I've been jamming out to "Wildfire" lately. I wish this had been pushed as a single.

Demi Lovato Is Tired of People Using "Bipolar" Incorrectly"You don't say, 'I cant decide what movie to watch, I'm so cancer." by MEHERA BONNER Feb 28, 2017 No matter what Donald Trump has to say on the matter, Demi Lovato is proof that celebrities can and should use their platform to speak about political and social issues—especially when those issues are as important as mental health. The stigma surrounding mental health is unrelenting and dangerous, and Lovato (who has bipolar disorder) wants to change that. We spoke to Demi about her personal mental health experiences, maintaining privacy, and her appreciation of fellow advocate Kate Middleton. "IT'S SO IMPORTANT TO BE VOCAL ABOUT THE THINGS YOU'RE DEALING WITH—YOU NEVER KNOW THE LIFE YOU COULD LIVE IF YOU'RE SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH OTHERS." She's *Not* Here for Society's Mental Health Stigma "There's a stigma surrounding mental health issues because nobody talks about it. When you spread awareness and create conversation, that's when you realize mental health conditions aren't anything out of the norm. They're very common. They shouldn't be judged. They should be accepted." Sacrificing Privacy About Her Own Mental Health Issues = Worth It "I live a public life. When I was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I knew it was something that may or may not get out. But when I was faced with the decision about whether to discuss it, I thought I might as well use my voice for something greater than singing." Demi Lovato speaks at the Capitol Hill Reception as part of her Be Vocal: Speak Up for Mental Health initiative. Getty She Wishes She Hadn't Stayed Quiet About Her Mental Health for So Long "I had my parents and I had friends that were very supportive. Unfortunately, I kept a lot of things to myself, so the outcome wasn't as beneficial to me as it could have been. That's why it's so important to be vocal about the things you're dealing with—you never know the life you could live if you're sharing your experiences with others." She's Over People Misusing the Term "Bipolar" "I get frustrated when people use the term 'bipolar' loosely. Like, they say 'Oh, I can't decide what movie to watch, I'm so bipolar.' You don't say, 'I can't decide what movie to watch, I'm so cancer.'" Follow Demi Lovato ✔ @ddlovato Mental illness affects millions but the photos out there just aren't showing the real picture. #BeVocalSpeakUp is looking to change that. 1:04 PM - 3 Nov 2016 10,887 10,887 Retweets 30,098 30,098 likes She's Inspired By Kate Middleton (Aren't We All?) "It's incredible what Kate Middleton is doing. If we had more people over here doing that, maybe there would be less stigma in the United States." She's Tired of the Assumption that People with Mental Health Issues Are Violent "Anytime you aren't creating conversation about what mental health really is, you're opening it up to a bunch of negativity. It's important to remember that the vast majority of people living with mental health conditions aren't violent. They're ten times more likely to be the victims of a violent crime."

Good for Demi. I always forget she is bipolar and it actually explains a lot. I love seeing celebs use their status for good.

Speaking of not loving oneself, there are so many people out there who could benefit from people with mental illnesses speaking out and being a voice. Similarly to the situation with Demi, I would love to hear from a celebrity with schizophrenia who can help people who have delusions, fabricate conspiracies and stories in their heads, etc. Being vocal and speaking up is not about shouting nonsense into the wind or on a message board but about getting the help one needs. #BeVocalSpeakUp

So she doesn't love herself because she has a known mental disorder and wants to use her platform to speak against the stigma attached to people with one!? 🅳🅸🆂🅲🅾 strikes again with yet another sexist post. We all know you hate vagina and everyone attached to one but this is reaching new lows.

I don't really know Demi in her Disney pop-rock phase but I got into her with Skyscraper and when she came forth with her story and fought her demons. Ever since then, with a few blips/errors in judgment (which actually are probably just a combo of youthful indiscretion/foot-in-mouth disease/Twitter Fingers/bipolar), I have stood by her. I really enjoyed her last album Confident (with Cool For The Summer) and the two albums before that. It's easy to pick on her but I would never come for her mental issues or struggles because they are indeed real and she is a strong woman that should be proud of what she accomplishes. I may joke and call her Dummi from time to time but that's just me being fresh LOL.

Demi speaking out about mental illness and our culture's treatment of has always been what I admired her most for. It's important. Also, uh, she recorded a collaboration with Ashley Tisdale and Avril Lavigne for a soundtrack single called "Trophy Boy" for an animated movie called Charming. Who put this together and why is it happening?

I've followed her music since album #1 and started admiring her when skyscraper released. She isn't a perfect celebrity, and she certainly isn't the best spoken, but she speaks from the heart and is super relatable, especially to those who also suffer from depression. If you take the time to listen to her interviews she doesn't come off as just a celebrity, there's something very human and refreshing about her. You can tell she cares about the people who look up to her and takes pride in her platform to speak on issiues that many downplay and ignore.
Side note cool for the summer is an absolute jam and her worst single is back to December or made in Made in the USA
