Very sad news. I rarely conversed with him directly, but always enjoyed the humor and wit that he brought to various threads. The guy posted in tons of threads and regularly interacted with hundreds (if not thousands) of members, yet never made a single enemy as far as I could tell. That's a pretty impressive feat, and an obvious sign of someone who made a very positive impact here. He will very much be missed.

What a tragic loss.
I didn't interact with Josh, but I loved the humor and light he brought to Pulse.
My prayers go out to his family, friends and all the people he touched.
Rest in peace, Josh.

still shook up. Josh and I came from the same era here and its so sad to lose anyone, but i remember us making fun of new members and being PROUD we came together, assimilated quickly and turned into icons. He mastered the art of one line zingers, his posts always made you smile, he was sociable and was warm. I will so miss seeing him around here. We knew right from the start he was different, and in the positive way. He was and will always be a icon. Thank you Josh for being from the last great era , honor to have you as my era BEST NEW POSTER CThunder josh nick64 Nightfire sthomas90 BEST NEW POSTER josh

Wow, what an absurdly iconic set of BNP nominees that year had...yes, even nightfire in his own way lol. Forgive me, I had to have a little laugh at what josh's response would have been to that.

When I first joined, I was so nervous about being accepted with how new I was. But then there was josh, only got here a month before I did and had already become a legendary poster. And he talked to me and helped me come out of my shell. Not to mention all the other things he would help me with over the years (including co-modding my Mafia game, an experience I'm SO glad I got to share with him). Such a good heart. This is just so hard to grasp. The realization's hit me hard so many times today. It's scary how real this place has suddenly become. Pulse has always been a place of escape for me, but you don't realize how much everyone here really means to you until something like this happens.

Oh my God, I'm speechless. I didn't know Josh very well but he was one of my favorite posters and members of Pulse. This is devastating, RIP Josh :(

This is absolutely horrifying. I'm stunned. While josh and I were never personally close, I played in several games he participated in/modded. I always had a deep-seated respect for him - I looked up to him from the moment I joined Pulse in 2012. RIP to one of Pulse's finest.
I'm having a hard time coming to terms with Dudley passing away as well. She was without doubt one of the top 5 most insightful and intelligent posters at this board. RIP to her as well.
In the midst of the darkest hours of life, I will try to live on with their spirits and charitable qualities, for it is what they would like. I know this will be difficult, but it is possible. This certainly provided a jarring blow to my morning. I imagine this is some sort of alternate reality that I will awake from soon. If it isn't, this is absolutely horrible. :'(
Thanks for providing your services to Pulse, josh and Dudley. While I may have never acknowledged it while either of you were living, I deeply appreciated your services.

I was pretty sick the last two days so I've merely been "liking" posts (but only because I appreciate the heartfelt sentiments in them) and not posting myself, but this...this is just so tragic. Josh was such a fun and kind person. He loved people and people loved him, and we'll still love him even though he's not with us on Pulse anymore. He really cared about this place and he had a lot of fun here and it just won't be the same without him.
I wish I understood why bad things like this happen but I don't think I'll have the answers in this lifetime. The best that we can do is to honor josh and Dudley, and to keep our friends and family members close and tell them how much we love them. I didn't know josh personally other than a few PMs we exchanged a while back, but I know in my heart that he was a great person, and that he had great people surrounding him. RIP, josh. We miss you.

I've spent the evening questioning a lot of things, cheesy as that may sound. I'm thinking a lot about how my life has changed in the last several years since I started posting regularly here for better or worse, how it's been a constant or a distraction when other things suck, and wishing I hadn't deleted my account so many times, so that maybe I could revisit the early conversations he and I had via PM. I've also been noticing a trend in these responses, in that so many say he was one of their first friends here or that he was one of the first to reach out to them, and that's certainly true of me as well. That's an indicator of who this dude was- friendly, outgoing, lighthearted. He certainly resembled those qualities more than I do. What a f**king waste that someone so good and genuine is gone. It's a f**king disgrace and I'm sick to my stomach all over again about it. The guy was always around, reliable. He didn't fake anything. He kept up with his personal charts whether it was cool to do so or not. He made new friends whether or not it was "cool" to do so. I wish I was what he's going to represent in my mind from now on. People who he reached out to owe it to him to be more like him and be more genuine and outgoing with people. It's really really easy to say RIP to people on the internet and give empty eulogies and this can't be one of those times. I donated to the linked cause because that's a contractual thing I could do to make a dent rather than tossing out hollow words, and if people can't do that it's totally understandable. If you can't though, make it a goal tomorrow to say hi to someone new or reach out to someone who might possibly become a friend because that's what he was about. What amazes me about life in general is how shallow some people, as if they were still in high school. I have made small talk with people in the most random of places (bars in Nashville earlier this year for example), because you never know what may happen. I have reconnected with so many people in the past, mostly because of social media, but how many of those people do you actually make an effort to hang out with? I am meeting up with a HS graduate for the 4th time since the 20 year reunion took place today, and if I am traveling to somewhere that a fellow graduate lives in, I try to see that person. This is coming from someone that was really quiet in HS, but when you have the same people from elementary school through HS, your name "sticks out".

As someone who has family members with Crohn's Disease, all I can hope is that Josh didn't suffer too much. All this is very saddening and a good reminder that your time here isn't going to last forever. Thank you to Josh for your contributions and to everyone else that makes the Pulse the great community it is.

I had a transatlantic flight the day this was posted, and simply didn't have the time to process it when I first read it that morning, especially coming off of Dudley's passing. It wasn't until I was waiting for boarding at the airport and listening to The Weeknd's new song that it started to hit me that there would be no more josh posts on what he thought of songs here ever again, no josh humor that only he could bring, no cheery josh attitude that lit up every thread he posted in, and so on. He was a core member of the community here in many aspects, and it's a tremendous loss for everyone here. My most heartfelt condolences and wishes go to those who were the closest to him. I have a friend the exact same age who also suffers from Crohn's Disease and it shows the depth of Josh's character that he maintained such a positive attitude despite the circumstances that could arise from the condition. Always and forever. Rest In Swag!

I almost started posting on Facebook about this. Yea me and Josh had our differences for sure, but this is the FIRST time since I've had the Internet that I've known someone from a message board who has died. I think about this multiple times a day, and we should all count our blessings and do good onto this world.

I rarely post on Pulse anymore, but I lurk every once in a while to see what's going on in the music community.
Obviously I'm very shocked to learn these news. I remember Josh back in 2013 actively posting in the Games forum, in literally every Danger Zone game. And we rarely shared the same tastes in music but man was it fun back then. And then josh would like your post everytime you saved one of his songs and he'd go bonkers whenever his songs won. Such trivial things but such good times. My sincere condolences to his family and friends, and to pretty much everyone on the forum who will surely miss his active and unique presence around all boards.

I looked through this thread a couple days ago but really had nothing to say, so didn't post. But, now I'm gonna post in here.
I don't think I actually ever talked to him (and he probably didn't even know me), but he was a great poster and he will be a big loss to the forum as a whole.
I really hope his family is doing well with this situation.

Wow, this has been a tough week.
Although I didn't interact with him personally, Josh seemed like a funny, passionate poster based on what I read on the threads with the weekly charts and the various Pulse games. And based on what I've read here, it seems like I'm not the only one who thought this.
Rest in peace, Josh. Prayers to your loved ones.

I didn't even speak to Josh that much, but always have had lots of respect for him. He just seemed so genuine and was quite humorous. This is devastating really. I know he was having health issues, but he always seemed to have the best spirit from what it seemed like which I really appreciated and again had tremendous respect for. This just seems surreal, like it's just hard to even believe to be candid. To say this hurts would be an understatement, I'm shocked and heartbroken about both him and Dudley. RIP Josh.
