2016 is almost coming to a close, so I will be counting down the top 100 songs of the year based on their performances on my personal chart ( pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/151199/fearlessarrow-top-100-back). 420 songs charted this year, so I won't mention every song, but if there's a particular song that you might be curious about, feel free to ask me :) I said I would countdown the top 100 songs, but here's #151-#102 just because it was close (as you'll see later I made a mistake...). #151-#102() - the 2016 chart-year peak * means it is still charting #151 Hanataba Wo Kimi Ni - Utada Hikaru (5) #150 Burning House - Cam (17, peaked at #1 in 2015) #149 Sober Saturday Night - Chris Young feat. Vince Gill (35*) #148 Shout Out To My Ex - Little Mix (8*) #147 Hotline Bling - Drake (8, peaked at #2 in 2015) #146 Sleep Without You - Brett Young (23*) #145 Hello - Adele (7, peaked at #1 in 2015) #144 Let Me Love You - DJ Snake feat. Justin Bieber (21*) #143 Show Me Love - Robin Schulz & J.U.D.G.E. (27) #142 All My Friends - Snakehips feat. Tinashe & Chance the Rapper (10) #141 Jumpman - Drake & Future (5) #140 Mercy - Shawn Mendes (1*) #139 Say Yay! - Barei [Eurovision - Spain] (10) #138 Sing Me To Sleep - Alan Walker (20) #137 Backroad Song - Granger Smith (18) #136 T-Shirt - Thomas Rhett (29) #135 All In My Head (Flex) - Fifth Harmony feat. Fetty Wap (21) #134 Reality - Lost Frequencies feat. Janieck Devy (17, peaked at #1 in 2015) #133 Wild - Troye Sivan feat. Alessia Cara (19) #132 Snapback - Old Dominion (13) #131 Beautiful Life - Lost Frequencies feat. Sandro Cavazza (18) #130 Send My Love (To Your New Lover) - Adele (12) #129 Somewhere On A Beach - Dierks Bentley (24) #128 The Hills - The Weeknd (6) #127 Home Alone Tonight - Luke Bryan feat. Karen Fairchild (10) #126 Hype - Dizzee Rascal feat. Calvin Harris (4) #125 What's The Pressure - Laura Tesoro [Eurovision - Belgium] (8) #124 Hymn For The Weekend - Coldplay (27) #123 Don't Wanna Know - Maroon 5 feat. Kendrick Lamar (6*) #122 Same Old Love - Selena Gomez (10, peaked at #4 in 2015) #121 Stand By You - Rachel Platten (17) #120 Stitches - Shawn Mendes (9, peaked at #1 in 2015) #119 Late To The Party - Kacey Musgraves (22) #118 Confident - Demi Lovato (3, peaked at #1 in 2015) #117 Tears - Clean Bandit feat. Louisa Johnson (14) #116 NO - Meghan Trainor (13) #115 11:11 - Taeyeon (2*) #114 You Are The Only One - Sergey Lazarev [Eurovision - Russia] (3) #113 I'm In Control - AlunaGeorge feat. Popcaan (17) #112 One Call Away - Charlie Puth (21) #111 Pillowtalk - Zayn (5) #110 The Girl Is Mine - 99 Souls feat. Brandy & Destiny's Child (9) #109 Be The One - Dua Lipa (14) #108 Dancing King - Yoo Jae Suk & EXO (7*) #107 Hard Carry - GOT7 (14*) #106 Mayday - Cam (7) #105 What Is Love 2016 - Lost Frequencies (4) #104 Catch & Release (Deepend Remix) - Matt Simons (5) #103 Take Me Home - Jess Glynne (10) #102 Light It Up - Major Lazer feat. PLS TELL ME QUEEN POLI MADE IT ON TOP 100???? And #HYPE!! You'll have to wait to see where she ranked!
{Spoiler} She did hit #1 for a week even though she kind of tumbled fairly fast. If that tells you anything... 420 songs charted this year, so I won't mention every song, but if there's a particular song that you might be curious about, feel free to ask me :) Hell yeah boi! Anyways, I like alot of the songs in the 150-101 section. I'm very excited for the top 100! Thanks :) I hope the top 100 won't be a disappointment to you! YAS FEARLESS ARROW IS BACK!!! Wow, I like/love most of these songs in the bottom 50 (there's too many I can't list them all lol)! Can't wait for the top 100! :) Thanks :) I feel like we have a lot of songs in common in our charts, so the top 100 should be at least somewhat exciting for you! 150 to 101 have a lot of fantastic songs!!!! I can't wait to see how many songs I know in your top 100 Lol hopefully Martina made it!!!! Thanks! {Spoiler} "Just Around The Corner" didn't make it unfortunately. "Reckless" peaked at #9, which should give it a good shot of ranking in the year-end top 100...

#101 - #92And here we go! #101: Make Me... - Britney Spears feat. G-Eazy Weeks: 15Peak: 8Points: 1,035,900Notes: The first song comes from Britney Spears! I liked this song for a few weeks, and then quickly lost interest., which is reflected in the relatively fast fall on the chart.#100: 1944 - Jamala [Eurovision - Ukraine]Weeks: 9Peak: 3Points: 1,043,850Notes: This is the real start of the top 100, but I felt bad last year for kicking out Demi, so this year I'm not kicking Britney off the countdown. The Eurovision 2016 winner makes it into the top 100 on my chart! Although some people are very bitter about her victory, from the moment I saw her performance I was blown away by her delivery and the emotions behind the song, and I thought that was the best and my favorite performance of the night. But that doesn't mean that this is the highest-ranked Eurovision songs on here because it's not (spoiler lol)!!!The Eurovision performance because I love it (it's probably region-locked in the US...):#99: You Look Like I Need A Drink - Justin MooreWeeks: 21Peak: 13Points: 1,047,900Notes: This one was a grower for me, but it ended up doing well, peaking in the top 15. This was his first entry on the chart, but I like some of his other songs like "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away", "Til My Last Day", and "Lettin' the Night Roll".#98: On Dirait - AmirWeeks: 19*Peak: 3Points: 1,064,100Notes: I was introduced to Amir in Eurovision, and this is the follow-up song to his Eurovision song, "J'ai Cherché". This song is completely in French, unlike "J'ai Cherché", and I love it. I think it's better than "J'ai Cherché" tbh, and I wonder what would have happened if he had entered Eurovision with this song instead even though it's completely in French. This song was bouncing around #25-#50 range while soaring towards the top tier of the chart in December. It rose 7-3 in the final week of the chart-year, so you might see this again on next year's countdown!
#97: When We Were Young - AdeleWeeks: 19Peak: 6Points: 1,065,000Notes: This was Adele's followup to the massive "Hello", and it didn't do so hot on charts in the real world, but it reached the top 10 on my chart. However, I feel like I grouped this with "Someone Like You" as Adele ballads, and that could have hurt this song because I thought this paled in comparison to SLY even though WWWY is a good song.#96: Sierra - Maddie & TaeWeeks: 23Peak: 10Points: 1,067,550Notes: After all the injustice done to Maddie & Tae on my chart (especially "Fly"), I feel like I've done justice to this song. This became Maddie & Tae's second top 10 on my chart and their second platinum single.#95: Don't You Know - Kungs feat. Jamie N CommonsWeeks: 20*Peak: 16Points: 1,088,850Notes: French DJ Kungs broke out big this year with "This Girl", and this was his followup. He didn't disappoint imo, and this became a hit in France as well.#94: Try Everything - ShakiraWeeks: 11Peak: 3Points: 1,096,350Notes: Zootopia was a good movie, and so was Shakira's song that came with it. Even though it had a short run on my chart, it was good enough to take it to my year-end top 100. The song's message is nice as well :) #93: I Know What You Did Last Summer - Shawn Mendes & Camila CabelloWeeks: 19Peak: 10Points: 1,097,250Notes: Camila Cabello apparently just left Fifth Harmony? Speaking of her, Shawn Mendes' collaboration with her was a top 10 hit on my chart, giving Shawn Mendes his second top 10 and Camila Cabello her first. This was kind of a disappointment for me compared to "Stitches", but I liked it enough for it to make it to the year-end top 100. #92: Wasted Time - Keith UrbanWeeks: 23 Peak: 9 Points: 1,107,600 Notes: For some reason, I don't particularly care for a lot of Keith Urban songs, but this was not the case for "Wasted Time". This became his first top 10 since "Cop Car" in the first half of 2014, even though he had two top 20 songs ("Somewhere in My Car" and "Raise 'Em Up") after that and another top 40 song ("Break On Me"). This song is perfect for summer nights (the lyrics seem to suggest that as well), and was one of the big summer country anthems this year. * denotes that it is still charting.

I also think "Don't You Know" is a cool song! However, I'm not feeling the followup to that one (it's called "I Feel So Bad"). I feel like his style could get repetitive pretty quickly unless he changes it up a bit... Any bold guesses as to where you think Poli might land on the countdown?

MAKE ME!!! And WHEN WE WERE YOUNG!!! SIERRA!!! TRY EVERYTHING!!!! I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER!!! I absolutely love Make Me... and it's probably my favorite from Britney in a while! And When We Were Young imo is Adele's second best behind Set Fire To The Rain (Much better than Hello and Send My Love tbh). Sierra isn't my fave from Maddie & Tae (Fly is a masterpiece), but it's still a really really great song and I'm glad it made top 100! Try Everything is just such a fun song to listen to and it reminds me of the last day of school last year since we watched the Zootopia movie on the last day of Geography instead of taking a final And YAS IKWYDLS!!! This definitely isn't as good as Stitches and grew off me a bit quickly (it peaked at #11 on my chart lol), but it's still a pretty solid song by Shawn and Camila! And yep, I remember I was playing the 2016 YE DZ (a very intense game) yesterday when Camila left 5H and man did it shock me... I mean I knew it would happen sometime but I didn't expect it to happen so soon... Oh well lol Awesome countdown so far!!! Keep it coming! And I hope Peter Pan charts high on this

Apparently I made the same mistake that I did on last year's countdown, which was omitting one song from the countdown when I started posting the countdown, so Jamala's "1944" is actually #100.
Sorry Britney :'(

#91-#80#91: It Don't Hurt Like It Used To - Billy CurringtonWeeks: 23 Peak: 11 Points: 1,118,850 Notes: I've actually fairly enjoyed Billy Currington's recently material, and this was no exception. However, he does seem to fall short of the top 10, with 3 of this 4 charted songs so far peaking in the #11-#15 range. Only "Don't It" from last year made it past the top 10 barrier for him (#3). #90: L.I.E - EXIDWeeks: 17* Peak: 7 Points: 1,126,650 Notes: This is the first K-pop song you'll see on this countdown. This song is really catchy, and it made the top 10 on their first entry on my chart. This was definitely one of the songs that fueled the K-pop explosion this fall for me. #89: My Church - Maren MorrisWeeks: 21 Peak: 17 Points: 1,135,950 Notes: Maren Morris was one of the female country artists that became big this year, and it made me happy that she was able to get hits, especially when country radio seemed like they only had 3 spots for women (Carrie, Miranda and now Kelsea?). Even though this song didn't hit the top 15, this lingered around long enough to squeeze its way to the top 100 on my year-end chart. #88: American Country Love Song - Jake OwenWeeks: 21 Peak: 6 Points: 1,143,900 Notes: Jake Owen's another artist who's really hit or miss for me, but this one was a hit for sure, although "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" remains my favorite Jake Owen song. This was a really summery and nice tune and overall a pleasant listen for me. I actually liked "Real Life", but this one's definitely better imo. This brought him back to #1 on country radio for the first time since "Beachin'" in 2014. #87: Sax - Fleur EastWeeks: 17 (spent 3 more weeks in 2015) Peak: 3 Points: 1,158,600 Notes: This was a top 3 hit at the beginning of the year on my chart, and it was a big hit in the UK last fall. January seems like such a long time ago... Anyways, this is a very energetic and uplifting tune, and it's nice to have some of those in your life, don't you think? #86: Rockabye - Clean Bandit feat. Sean-Paul & Anne-MarieWeeks: 8* Peak: 1 (2 weeks) Points: 1,176,000 Notes: This song became Clean Bandit's first return to the top 10 since 2014 when "Extraordinary" hit #5, even becoming their second #1 song after the mega-hit "Rather Be". If the points weren't split between two years, I could totally see this charting within the top 20 on the year-end charts... You might see this song again on next year's countdown, seeing that it's #5 right now on my weekly charts. #85: When The Bassline Drops - Craig David & Big NarstieWeeks: 17 Peak: 6 Points: 1,185,750 Notes: I don't usually like songs in this vein, but this one for some reason I got into. This one became successful on my chart and that has prompted Craig David's subsequent songs to chart, but none of them have come close to the success this one had. I feel like his other efforts since this one I get the "been there, done that" feeling whereas this one felt fresh to me, probably because of the level of exposure I had to this type of music. #84: Vice - Miranda LambertWeeks: 22* Peak: 16 Points: 1,194,600 Notes: This one I initially really liked but it kind of got lost in the shuffle for me, which explains the low peak. I was really hoping this could reach the top 10 on country radio, but it stalled out right below it. Nice delivery, nice topic... there's many aspects to love about this song :) #83: Geiles Leben (Madizin Single Mix) - GlasperlenspielWeeks: 19 Peak: 12 Points: 1,208,100 Notes: This is the first song in German to make the year-end top 100! I think this was a big hit in Germany in late 2015, and on my chart it totally rode the deep house wave which allowed artists like Lost Frequencies and Felix Jaehn to have huge hits on my chart. That's probably the only reason why I liked this song tbh... #82: You Should Be Here - Cole SwindellWeeks: 19 Peak: 9 Points: 1,208,400 Notes: A lot of country music in this section of the countdown... I'm usually not a big fan of Cole Swindell's music, but this one I actually liked quite a bit. I liked his delivery of the song, and I'm actually kind of a sucker for these types of slower songs. #81: Just Like Fire - P!nkWeeks: 27 Peak: 7 Points: 1,213,650 Notes: This took me a while to catch onto, and once I did, it burned on me super fast. I still like this song though. The "we came here to run it, run it" part gets stuck in your head and never lets go because it's so catchy! * denotes songs that are still charting.

Make Me... :'( oh well haha #101's still great as well! Glad to see My Church, Vice, You Should Be Here, and Just Like Fire! The first three are some of my favorite country hits this year, especially My Church! Just Like Fire is not even close to my favorite from P!nk, but it would be hard to parallel her previous work because they're too good! Although I only moderately enjoyed JLF, it's still a pretty nice song to listen to! Keep it up man! Awesome countdown so far :)

420 songs charted this year Sheesh, and I was feeling impressed that I could list 236 songs that I liked this year. But 420? As Shaggy would say... When you have an 100-position chart, it stacks up really quickly :) Great to see Just Like Fire, My Church, Vice, Sax & Rockabye!! Glad you like those songs too :) Will I see some of those on your year-end list? Make Me... :'( oh well haha #101's still great as well! I feel the same way about JLF, so many great P!nk songs (my favorite being "Who Knew") and this one just pales in comparison. It's still a nice song though!

#80-#71This group has a different feel than the #90-#81 group...#80: Starboy - The Weeknd feat. Daft PunkWeeks: 12* Peak: 5 Points: 1,230,000 Notes: The Weeknd did not disappoint with his comeback song! I wasn't too impressed with this song at first, but this grew on me and now it's back in the top 15 after having dropped out of the top 20 for a while. This is also one of those songs that could have placed higher on a year-end chart if the release wasn't so late into the year. #79: Speeding Cars - Walking On CarsWeeks: 20 Peak: 10 Points: 1,244,550 Notes: I'm surprised this song made it this far considering how much I pay attention to this kind of music in general. This song was a top 20 hit in Ireland, and I think it did moderately well in Belgium. I was really happy when this cracked top 50 on HAC on Mediabase, but it didn't go anywhere after that which was sad because it was an alternative song that I actually actively rooted for. #78: Sweet Lovin' - Sigala feat. Bryn ChristopherWeeks: 19 Peak: 10 Points: 1,251,150 Notes: Sigala strung together a series of hit songs starting with "Easy Love" from 2015, and this one was one of his hit songs. The music video was fun, and it's a pretty fun song as well!
#77: My Way - Calvin HarrisWeeks: 13* Peak: 3 Points: 1,253,400 Notes: It was a tough act to follow up the global smash "This Is What You Came For", and I think Calvin pulled it off pretty decently. It didn't do so well in the US which I was very sad about, but it reached #3 on my chart. Calvin's the king of #3s on my chart, and he adds this song to the list of #3s that he has, making it his fourth #3 song since 2014. #76: Cheap Thrills - Sia feat. Sean PaulWeeks: 27 Peak: 10 Points: 1,269,000 Notes: This was one of those songs that was killed by overplay for me. I like this song, but overplay definitely got in the way, and this song ended up peaking at #10 on my chart when it had the potential to peak higher. I'm glad that Sia's continuing her success and scored her first US #1! #75: Whistle - BLACKPINKWeeks: 14* Peak: 9 Points: 1,269,150 Notes: Another K-pop song in this year's countdown! This song was very popular in South Korea, hitting #1 for multiple weeks. The whistling in the song is very catchy and for a while I noticed myself whistling the whistling part in this song without thinking. I mostly listen to "cute" songs when it comes to K-pop, but this one's an exception and might be an easy listen for anyone with no background in K-pop. #74: Something In The Way You Move - Ellie GouldingWeeks: 19 Peak: 8 Points: 1,279,650 Notes: This past year I went to Universal Studios in Florida, and I remember at night when I was leaving, they were playing the music video for this song on one of the big screens (and blasting the song while they were at it) and it was great! My highlight was that they played Sam Hunt's "Leave the Night On" on that screen as well though (considering how much I love LTNO it was kind of obvious). About the song itself, I think it's good but not quite great enough for me to like it more. #73: Still Falling For You - Ellie GouldingWeeks: 17* Peak: 5 Points: 1,280,400 Notes: This was the first release after the Delirium era, and she came back with a song that was reminiscent of her previous soundtrack song "Love Me Like You Do" which I absolutely adored (remember that was my #1 year-end song of 2015?). I felt like this was lackluster compared to LMLYD, but LMLYD was a pop masterpiece imo, so it's kind of unfair to make that comparison. I liked the overall feeling of the song, and listening to it at night was one of my favorite things to do back in October. #72: Be Right There - Diplo & Sleepy TomWeeks: 18 (charted for 8 more weeks in 2015) Peak: 6 Points: 1,283,850 Notes: At first I didn't expect to like this one, but somehow I ended up liking it a lot. This one probably rode off the EDM wave on my charts from mid-2015 and also the success of "Lean On" from last year that made me pay more attention to Diplo. Although it wasn't a big hit in the US, it was a hit in the UK, reaching the top 10 over there. #71: Never Forget You - Zara Larsson & MNEKWeeks: 29 (charted for 11 more weeks in 2015) Peak: 9 Points: 1,297,800 Notes: Both "Lush Life" and "Never Forget You" started charting last year when they were big hits in Europe and continued charting this year due to the success of those songs in the UK and the US although "Lush Life" didn't take off in the US, which I am still bitter about. This managed to scrape the top 10, but I found this song a bit boring and I didn't particularly like the drop after the chorus either. Maybe I feel that way because I often compare this song with "Lush Life" which I absolutely love. No country songs in this section but a lot of EDM-influenced songs... Completely different from the last section which had a lot of country songs (it did have some EDM-influenced songs but country was the dominant genre)!

#79: Speeding Cars - Walking On Cars Hadn't heard this song til now. Dig it! Those 'hey yas' are real catchy.#78: Sweet Lovin' - Sigala Glad you posted this. I totally forgot about this great video. Sweet dance moves, bike moves, skate moves...

Notes: Another K-pop song in this year's countdown!
I'm starting to be a fan of BlackPink ♥♥♥
#71: Never Forget You - Zara Larsson & MNEK
Notes: Both "Lush Life" and "Never Forget You" started charting last year when they were big hits in Europe and continued charting this year due to the success of those songs in the UK and the US although "Lush Life" didn't take off in the US, which I am still bitter about.
I charted both songs since 2015, funny because I peaked Lush Life on #21 in 2015, and both peaked on #1 in 2016, both had weird chart runs in my chart, wait for both in my YE-C

Although I'm not a BlackPink fan, that's really nice to know! Another person who appreciates some K-pop :) For me "Lush Life" peaked at #7 in 2015 and fell off the charts, and then came back and surged to its #2 peak this year only to be blocked by a song that she was featured on, David Guetta's "This One's for You". I hope to see Zara on your year-end chart!

#70-#61Now for songs that had over 1.3 million points...#70: Wanna Be That Song - Brett EldredgeWeeks: 26* Peak: 10 Points: 1,307,850 Notes: Brett Eldredge is one of my favorite country artists right now, and it was surprising the amount of time it took for me to catch on to this song. This one is so far my favorite single off Illinois, and it's a shame that this song's points have to be split into two years. Last week, it retreated to #11 from its #10 peak, but it is probably going to rise this week coinciding with the song's ascent to #1 on country radio, so this one might end up pushing double platinum (2 million points) to become his first multi-platinum song since "Beat of the Music" which is certified 5x platinum. #69: Break Up In A Small Town - Sam HuntWeeks: 15 (charted for 12 more weeks in 2015) Peak: 1 (1 week) Points: 1,312,500 Notes: "Break Up in a Small Town" returns after being featured in last year's countdown as well. This song was the first #1 of my crazy 2016 chart-year where my musical tastes expanded even more. Sam Hunt is also one of my favorite country(?) artists, and he has scored five multi-platinum singles in a row since his debut and first charting single, "Leave the Night On", which is very impressive. This is as least country as you can get, but I liked the song and the dubstep influence. #68: Humble And Kind - Tim McGrawWeeks: 32 Peak: 7 Points: 1,334,700 Notes: Tim McGraw came through on this one! Even though he has his hits and misses ("Top of the World" wasn't a bad song, but it didn't really do much for me. Don't even go to "Lookin' for That Girl" or "Truck Yeah"...) This one also took a long time to take off, it became his first top 10 since "Shotgun Rider" in late 2014. When Tim McGraw does things right, it's REALLY good. #67: May We All - Florida Georgia Line feat. Tim McGrawWeeks: 18* Peak: 10 Points: 1,335,100 Notes: Another Tim McGraw song, and another country song! We have 4 country songs back to back here. This is FGL's biggest hit to date on my chart ("Sippin' On Fire" also reached #10, but it had a very short chart run whereas this one has lasted a long time) and their first platinum hit since "Cruise". (I didn't particularly like "H.O.L.Y." until recently, which now that I think about it had potential to blow up on my chart...) For Tim, this was his fifth top 10 single. #66: Say You Do - Sigala feat. Imani & DJ FreshWeeks: 20 Peak: 3 Points: 1,365,000 Notes: This summery drum and bass tune became Sigala's biggest hit to date on this chart. The DJ Fresh influence is clearly here, and I love it! I hope Sigala does more songs like this one, but this probably isn't too much in line with his style, so we might not see another one like this from him. I recommend playing this song at the beach, it sounds GREAT! #65: Starving - Hailee Steinfeld & Grey feat. ZeddWeeks: 13* Peak: 2 Points: 1,373,100 Notes: After my injustice to "Rock Bottom" which should've peaked way higher than its #71 peak, this one went all the way to #2. I don't know what I like about this song, but I like it! It's Hailee's biggest hit in real life as well and I'm glad that it turned out to be a hit for her. One could argue that "Love Myself" was a hit I guess... Now that I think about it, I've liked all three of her releases so far. #64: Cake By The Ocean - DNCEWeeks: 33 Peak: 4 Points: 1,390,800 Notes: I really like this song and it probably should have been higher on the year-end countdown. However, that's my fault for overplaying it before it peaked in real life and getting tired of it really quickly once it blew up in real life. This song reached its peak of #4 on my chart in the beginning of February while on top 40 radio it peaked in mid-April. Really fun tune, and nice job Joe Jonas for making it big again! #63: Me, Myself & I - G-Eazy x Bebe RexhaWeeks: 21 Peak: 8 Points: 1,391,250 Notes: There's some rap on my chart as well... This made it big on top 40 radio as well, which explains why this was able to be this high on my year-end list (it's pop-friendly). #62: All On You - Nick FradianiWeeks: 13* Peak: 3 Points: 1,396,800 Notes: I hadn't really paid much attention to American Idol alums from recent years, and while I did chart his "Beautiful Life" last year, it didn't do much damage on my charts. Then this came out of nowhere and I was impressed. I like the whole vibe of the song and the So when it's late and you're laying and missing me Wishing you're kissing me Saying you're pissed at me Girl, it's all on you Then you show up and you knock on my door and it's four in the morning When it's raining, it's pouring, I'm gonna say we're through And it's all on you Girl, it's all on youpart of the song. I was sad that this didn't make it that far on pop radio, but considering the circumstances this might have been the best this song could have done. #61: Sofia - Alvaro SolerWeeks: 19 Peak: 6 Points: 1,417,650 Notes: This another infectious tune from Spanish singer Alvaro Soler especially became a big hit in Italy. It also became a hit on my chart as well, becoming his second top 10 single after "El Mismo Sol". It's really difficult for singers who primarily sing non-English songs to not become a one-hit wonder on my chart, and now that he has a second hit under his belt, he seems to be going in the right direction. * denotes songs that are currently charting on my weekly charts.

#60-#51We're going to be done with the first half!#60: Sorry - Justin BieberWeeks: 16 (charted for 4 more weeks in 2015) Peak: 2 Points: 1,419,150 Notes: This became Justin's highest charting song as a lead artist, beating out "What Do You Mean?" which peaked at #3. The three huge JB singles (sorry "Company") all did not do as well on my chart compared to how much I liked the songs (especially WDYM and "Love Yourself"). But the Purpose era warmed me up so much to Justin, which could be why "Cold Water" did really well on my chart... #59: Roses - The Chainsmokers feat. ROZESWeeks: 17 (charted for 9 more weeks in 2015) Peak: 5 Points: 1,422,150 Notes: The Chainsmokers became really big this year and they were inescapable! "Roses" was what kicked it off. I caught onto this song last November-ish, and remembered them from "#SELFIE" because that was my guilty pleasure of 2014. I love the drop to this song, and I like this more than "Don't Let Me Down" tbh. #58: Say You Won't Let Go - James ArthurWeeks: 11* Peak: 1 (1 week) Points: 1,445,100 Notes: When I first heard this song, I expected it to blow up on my chart like Sam Smith's "I'm Not the Only One" did back in 2014. It didn't blow up like it did because INTOO became a 4x platinum hit, but this became a decent-sized hit. I hope this blows up in the US... #57: Don't Be So Shy (Filatov & Karas Remix) - ImanyWeeks: 29 Peak: 6 Points: 1,465,200 Notes: This remix version of French singer Imany's "Don't Be So Shy" became a hit all across Europe and on my chart as well. The remixers Filatov & Karas are Russian, which I didn't know until just now! I really like the beat to this song, and I recommend it very much! #56: Head Over Boots - Jon PardiWeeks: 20 Peak: 5 Points: 1,471,350 Notes: After "Up All Night" his singles didn't fare too well on country radio, and I was worried that this wouldn't do much, but I'm glad it went all the way to the top on country radio! It's a very nice breeze of traditional country in the current climate, and we need more songs like this one! At least the follow-up single "Dirt On My Boots" seems to be taking off really nicely. #55: I Like The Sound Of That - Rascal FlattsWeeks: 19 Peak: 4 Points: 1,482,600 Notes: This song is Rascal Flatts' first entry on a year-end chart. I like the lightness of the song, and while I haven't been big on Rascal Flatts, this managed to become their first top 10 song and platinum hit. #54: Treat You Better - Shawn MendesWeeks: 25 Peak: 9 Points: 1,483,650 Notes: This was kind of a disappointment coming off of "Stitches" but I liked it enough for it to peak inside the top 10 and rank this high in the year-end countdown. I feel like this was kind of like a rehash of "Stitches" tbh. I like "Mercy" better though, and it reached #1 a few weeks ago. #53: Only One - ApinkWeeks: 12* Peak: 5 Points: 1,494,000 Notes: Another K-pop song! I like this because it sounds more grown up from Apink's previous material and also from other K-pop songs I listen to. I saw many people who didn't particularly like the song because it was more subtle, but I liked it because of that. #52: Reckless - Martina McBrideWeeks: 34 Peak: 9 Points: 1,503,900 Notes: From here on out, there are only songs which surpassed the 1.5 million point line. The first one is from country artist Martina McBride with her song "Reckless". Without bboat11's recommendation, I probably would've never listened to this wonderful song, so thank you! It took a long time for me to catch onto the song, but once it did, I loved the breeziness of the song and the right amount of country-pop in this song. #51: TT - TWICEWeeks: 8* Peak: 1 (1 week) Points: 1,558,000 Notes: This was the follow-up song to the massive "Cheer Up", and it must have been tough for them to follow up such a big song. At first this felt like a letdown to me, but I grew to like it, even though I still prefer "Cheer Up" by a fairly wide margin. * denotes songs that are still charting.

STARBOY!!! Definitely one of my favorite songs released in the last bit of the year! Similarly with you, I thought it was good but not really special at first, but after a few listens, man is this a masterpiece! It's just sooooo awesome!! Also glad to see My Way! I actually quite liked it but because it didn't gain much traction on radio, it didn't peak too high on my chart... but it's still a great song! And Something In The Way You Move as well! Similarly with My Way, I loved it but it didn't gain too much traction, so fell short on my chart... (btw, totally agree that Love Me Like You Do is such a masterpiece! One of my faves in 2015 and happy it was your #1!!) Although I like Lush Life more, I'm glad Never Forget You made your countdown as well! Also great to see Break Up In A Small Town (someone else that likes this other than me and bboat!), Humble And Kind, and May We All! STARVING!!! (lol I'm reading through your countdown as I'm typing this). Another one of my favorite songs in the final few months of the year! I LOVED Love Myself and Rock Bottom (#justiceforRockBottom) but Hailee managed to pull through a success with Starving and I'm so glad she did so because this song is a hands down masterpiece (I don't even care that it's about s** anymore because the song is so good). Sadly, it's being blocked by Starboy on my chart from taking the #1 position... it's been #2 on my chart for 9 consecutive weeks... So glad to find another Hailee fan on here! Also great to see Cake By The Ocean, MM&I (one of my fave rap songs this year), Sorry, Roses (I like the song, but tbh DLMD is the Chainsmokers song I absolutely love... maybe because I'm a Daya fan lol. Hope to see DLMD on here!), and Treat You Better (totally agree this is kinda a step down from Stitches, but it's actually the lyrics that ruin the song for me... but I still liked it though! It pulled off a #16 peak on my chart). OMG RECKLESS!!! I actually didn't even know about this song until this song competition here on Pulse when I heard it for the first time and MAN IS IT AWESOME!!! It's still in the process of rising on my chart (it's gonna make its debut in the top 100 this week), but it has a good chance to smash my chart! I'm loving it more on every hear but this song is !!! I just heard the K-pop songs you posted, and I found Only One really good! I think it's because I like more calmer but more subtle and emotional songs more, and I don't find many K-pop songs appealing because a lot of them are hyped dance songs (at least the K-pop songs a couple of my friends listen to, so I might be wrong )... and that's probably why I like Only One! Definitely one of my favorite K-pop songs on my countdown so far! Love this countdown so far! So much variety (K-pop, regular top 40 pop, country, EDM, and even a rap song) and I'm liking/loving most of the songs I've heard! Keep it up man, can't wait for the next update!

I'm glad you enjoy a lot of songs on this countdown :) Sam Hunt seems to get a lot of flack for being very pop-leaning, and while that's true, I like that he's able to do that. Maybe it's because I listen to a lot of different types of music, so it's cool when they blend together. I know some people are mad because Sam's been really successful on country radio with his pop-heavy songs, but that doesn't stop me from liking his music! BUIAST actually isn't among my favorites from Montevallo ("Take Your Time", "Leave the Night On", "Single for the Summer", "Make You Miss Me", and "Cop Car" are my favorites), but I love the album as a whole so much that I pretty much like every single song! My favorite Chainsmokers song is hands down "Closer", but I like DLMD too, so you should see it on the countdown pretty soon! Although I must say I don't really care for Daya ("Hide Away" didn't even chart and "Sit Still, Look Pretty" I liked but I think on my chart it peaked in the 90s... I should check out her current single "Words" though)... OMG you like "Reckless" too!? YES!!! Yeah I agree that many K-pop songs tend to be hyped dance songs, but that's mostly the boy group/girl group ones. When you look at solo artists, that's not necessarily the case. Taeyeon from Girls' Generation, for example, her solo songs are much more subtle and calmer than Girls' Generation songs. Her most recent single "11:11", which narrowly missed my 2016 YE chart, is a very slow song, and even her uptempo stuff are definitely not hyped dance songs.

The EXID; song was very nice. Wonder what else will make your chart? Two of my fvas this year were Dal * Shabet "Someone Like You" and Wonder Girls "Why So Lonely" It's great to see other memembers getting into K-Pop. I'm more of a hard rock type of guy, but some of that K-Pop is so damn catchy.

#50-#41The second half, here we come!#50: I Took A Pill In Ibiza (SeeB Remix) - Mike PosnerWeeks: 20 Peak: 1 (1 week) Points: 1,562,700 Notes: The drop was great on this one, and also I really liked the lyrics. His voice actually fit the remix really well! I remember listening to the original one time and I didn't like the original version mostly because I'm not a big fan of his voice. I remember not really liking "Cooler Than Me" when he first became really popular. SeeB remixed it really well in my opinion. I also liked his "Hymn for the Weekend" remix, but for some reason I didn't like his track "Breathe"... #49: Dangerous Woman - Ariana GrandeWeeks: 23 Peak: 4 Points: 1,587,450 Notes: I actually really liked "Focus", and when she came back with this song, I didn't really care for the song. I didn't appreciate the song until quite a bit later, and now I love this! I'm a big fan of the sultriness in the song but most of all THE GUITAR!!! The guitar is what actually makes the song for me! And now that I'm blabbing about this, I'm realizing that this song is one of those "I should've charted it higher" songs. #48: Side To Side - Ariana Grande feat. Nicki MinajWeeks: 14* Peak: 3 Points: 1,633,500 Notes: Two Ariana songs in a row! This one is my favorite single from Dangerous Woman, and therefore peaked higher than her other singles from this era. I usually don't really like reggae-influenced songs, but I really like this one. Maybe it's because it's pretty fast for a reggae song? I don't know what it is with Ariana singles this era, but they all took some time to grow on me. #47: Into You - Ariana GrandeWeeks: 27 Peak: 5 Points: 1,654,000 Notes: I didn't mean for this to happen, but we have 3 Ariana songs in a row!!! What a coincidence! This is my least favorite single so far from Dangerous Woman (I haven't listened to her new single so that might change), but I love the synths in this one! I feel like Ariana's singles from this era are all very well-crafted pop songs, and I give her props for that. It probably must have been a tough challenge to follow My Everything which was a major success, but I think she did pretty well with this one! #46: Don't Let Me Down - The Chainsmokers feat. DayaWeeks: 23 Peak: 7 Points: 1,660,350 Notes: Another one of those songs that overplay killed for me. I liked this slightly less than "Roses" to begin with, but overplay didn't do it any favors either. I really like the songs The Chainsmokers put out this year including this one though! I think the main reason why I like this less than "Roses" or "Closer" is the drop... #45: Fast Car - Jonas Blue feat. DakotaWeeks: 19 Peak: 5 Points: 1,664,100 Notes: Jonas Blue became really big this year in Europe and Australia/New Zealand, and became one of my favorite breakthrough artists of 2016. This was his breakthrough single, and I love the fact that he was able to combine tropical house with the somberness of Tracy Chapman's original song. Dakota's vocal was very good at conveying the somberness in the song too, and I think it was a difficult thing to do just because of the upbeat nature of tropical house. #44: One Dance - Drake feat. Wizkid & KylaWeeks: 36* Peak: 2 Points: 1,670,250 Notes: I thought this was going to go #1 at first, but it stalled out at #2 behind Chris Young and Cassadee Pope's "Think of You", and it fell fairly fast because of overplay. Everyone was OBSESSED with this song, and when that happens, I tend to like songs less than I really do. I still love the song, and the chart performance is kind of disappointing because this is the first Drake song I've liked so much since "Headlines" which I absolutely love. The beat is just wonderful! I like "Fake Love", so that one might end up doing pretty well to compensate for this (currently at #12 on my weekly chart). #43: Piece By Piece - Kelly ClarksonWeeks: 21 Peak: 5 Points: 1,778,550 Notes: This song and "One Dance" are about 100,000 points away, which is a fairly large gap. Her performance on American Idol was absolutely stunning, and that was what propelled the song to the top tier of my chart. The song's story is beautiful, and Kelly's delivery tells it so well! I love Kelly because while she has very empowering songs ("Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" etc.), she also has these vulnerable moments such as this song and "Because of You" and she is able to sound authentic on both and make both of them very good music! #42: Drunk On Your Love - Brett EldredgeWeeks: 22 Peak: 2 Points: 1,814,250 Notes: I just love Brett Eldredge, and that's primarily why this song is so high up on the year-end chart. This isn't anything new, but it's a really pleasant song to listen to imo. I think his voice is great, and he seems to be a very likable person from what I've seen. I really like the music video as well. #41: Church Bells - Carrie UnderwoodWeeks: 29 Peak: 4 Points: 1,815,450 Notes: This song continued her success on my chart with "Smoke Break" and "Heartbeat", both of which reached the top 3. While this didn't reach the top 3, it fared better than "Smoke Break" in terms of total points earned. Great storytelling by Carrie once again, and now I don't even what to compliment Carrie for because I feel like every time I'm like "Great storytelling! Great lyrics! Great vocals!"... * denotes that the song is still charting.

The EXID; song was very nice. Wonder what else will make your chart? Two of my fvas this year were Dal * Shabet "Someone Like You" and Wonder Girls "Why So Lonely" It's great to see other members getting into K-Pop. I'm more of a hard rock type of guy, but some of that K-Pop is so damn catchy. A couple of K-pop songs are still ahead, but I will say neither of those two made it on my year-end chart... I love "Why So Lonely", but I didn't chart it high enough for it to make the YE chart. It's nice seeing other Pulse members that are into K-Pop. It's really interesting how you like both hard rock and K-pop, but that's what I love about music fans, the fact that they have such diverse taste in music! I guess I do like country and K-pop, which are two worlds apart, so I'm kind of in the same boat
