Unseasoned chicken??? Sorry Glove Slap those are trigger words I can't do it. *I did get in a listen for NBTS - it's her latest single so I see no point in avoiding that - and I'm not feeling it myself, but I see its potential. It's structured well and the lyrics are good for a pop song, but (IMO) she sounds emotionally disengaged, and the falsetto on the 'nicotine, heroine, morphine' part is not pleasant (not quite as bad as her vocals on Bad Things, but sort of in that direction).

Some of the songs had great lyrics and could have been emotional so I give her kudos for trying. I kept saying I wanted someone else to sing or if she just didn't sing in falsetto I can't stand her falsetto for some reason. I think her live is actually better than in the studio which is odd. I'm a fan of singing and on that front it's a D. Lyrics it's a B. Emotion I give it a F. I wanted a powerful here iam moment or something unique and I didn't get it.

I like this but it is a little pedestrian. Enjoying NBTS more than I expected though... and She Loves Control should be a single. Love Real Friends too, although unsure how it would fare as a single.

OK, it's been a slow day at work so I'm giving this thing a full listen and sharing my thoughts: 1. Never Be The Same: This is pretty good. It took a while for me to like it though, because her vocals aren't great at all. I think she actually sounded less annoying on the Fallon live performance? 2. All These Years: This is filler. It's not terrible but not memorable either. 3. She Loves Control: This is a bop! Single material. This is probably what most people expected the follow-up to Havana to sound like. I can already hear a latin remix with Maluma or something like that for it's eventual release. 4. Havana: 5. Inside Out: Really like the production here. Was this recorded post-Havana? It feels like that, especially with the Spanish part. Not sure if it's single material. 6. Consequences: Not terrible but doesn't really feel like the route she should take for the singles. The lyrics are good and I could see it growing on me eventually. 7. Real Friends: LOVE the lyrics. The song as a whole is really good as well, but I'm not sure it's single material anymore. 8. Something's Gotta Give: This is cute. Her vocals are much better here than on Consequences. Not single material. 9. In The Dark: Solid song! I could see this working as a single. 10. Into It: Wasn't crazy about this on first listen but it's pretty catchy. Might work as a single. 11. Never Be The Same (Radio Edit): Great way to waste a spot! Should have included OMG instead. 12. Havana ft. Daddy Yankee: 13. I Have Questions: Pretty good lyrics, solid track, but I can see why it didn't make the standard edition. They just scrapped Crying in the Club because it flopped, but it wouldn't have felt out of place at all here. OMG should have been on the album instead of the Radio Edit of NBTS (they should have just released a clean version of the album and swapped the explicit one with the edit there). I'm glad they changed the title because The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving did not fit this at all. All in all, solid debut album. I don't hate anything here and there's a clear path forward for the next few singles (She Loves Control for sure, then maybe Inside Out, Into It or In The Dark). There's a lot of room for improvement as well (I'm not crazy about the slower songs), kind of like how Ed Sheeran improved from + to x by picking up the tempo a bit and switching things up. This feels much more cohesive as an album than any of the 5H albums, including the last one without her.

Wait, I Have Questions is on it/the deluxe? And not Crying In The Club? Even OMG. Such a waste

Really they wasted two spots by having two versions of the same two songs, when she clearly had other released material. Why would they do that?

This cd is pretty boring. Like, I don't mind that it is generic. I am not expecting pop music world changing legendary music from Camila lmao. But, damn, they went really generic and low-key for this? I don't get not putting some more upbeat pop songs or bangers on here. I am not even entirely sure what they will do for a third single. Probably She Loves Control maybe with a remix/feature lol.

This album is kinda boring and sounds like a bunch 5H demos. One of the things that worked for her in the group was that her tone was so different that it stood out. A set of songs with all of her vocals is almost painful. The label may have paid for her to finally get a hit, but they can't pay to make her a star. She's not likable or that interesting as a person. If they're smart, they'll orchestrate a big reunion story between her and the group, and they'll carry on and maximize on their opportunity in the right way.

And the fact that OMG should have been a SINGLE, and it didn't even make the album is a joke.

I still am enjoying the record Though let's be real
Were all pressed that OMG isn't a single or on the record That was a bop and I loved it ahead of Havana and still do I get why it's not n the record But still CITC also should have made the record, I think it could have been the closer, given its empowerment theme which would fit
The ordering of the tracks is really strange, like it felt random a bit Like I think the ballads should have maybe made the latter half while the bops are forefront

Problem solved.

Predictions rise again. 1. ** Camila Cabello (SYCO/Epic) 92-97k total activity, 50-55k album 2. The Greatest Showman (Atlantic) 87-92k, 57-62k hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=310072

Got around to checking this out and also heard Crown today.
The album just blends together for me. It's all the same and then there's Havana. Meanwhile, Crown is a fucking jam, and her team is completely idiotic for not putting it on the album and making it the second single because it is literally the perfect follow up to Havana. Nothing else from the album just screams "hit single" the way Havana and Crown do.

In The Dark sounds like it belongs on a Radio Disney channel. I just can't with that song. Havana, Real Friends, and Never Be The Same are the keepers and this is after playing the album front to back a few times now, hoping that maybe I was missing something but...nope.

SYCO/Epic's Camila Cabello continues to battle The Greatest Showman soundtrack for #1 on this week's chart, with the latest projections putting both in the mid-to-upper-90k range. This one looks like it'll come down to the wire. Stay tuned. Ellen could be what it takes to get the #1 and break 100k.

I think the remaining singles are "Real Friends" and "She Loves Control." "Real Friends" could be her "Love Yourself." I thought "Inside Out" and "In The Dark" would be singles, but they don't have the Camila Cabello stamp on them the way her first two singles do.

Ok yeah OMG & Crown are both two of her songs that should be singles OMG is a fun urban-pop track plus Quavo has a good verse Crown is another very catchy radio-friendly track
Both very fitting for modern pop music play Though I'm content with Havana & NBTS, follow-ups from her record should be Into It, In The Dark, or She Loves Control.

This album is a win already but if they can go 4 successful singles deep on this one, this girl is here to smash. 1. Havana 2. Never Be The Same 3. She Loves Control 4. Real Friends

This was such a nice surprise. Keith Urban and Kelsea Ballerini covering Never Be The Same. I wonder who chose to cover this song and why.

A pretty decent album. Don't know why they wasted track 11 on "Never Be The Same" (Radio Edit). That could have been replaced by "OMG", I Have Questions", or "Crown". I didn't get the album with IHQ on it, unfortunately.
I guess "She Loves Control" or "Real Friends" for the next single. Wouldn't mind "Into It" or "In The Dark" as singles in the future, either.

Enters at #2 in the UK. Her two albums with Fifth Harmony hit #18 and #6.

Nothing bad, nothing great; current and cute, but seems wholly without identity, personality, or purpose. It was an easy, short listen, but I didn't really hear anything that would draw me back beyond "Never Be The Same" and maybe "Real Friends."
