This isn't going to be an album I listen to all the time, but it's really good for what it is. Reba sounds wonderful, and you can tell that these songs really do mean a lot to her.
Standouts for me (on Disc 2) are "God And My Girlfriends", "Hallelujah, Amen", "I Got The Lord On My Side" and "Sing It Now". If more singles are to come, I think "Hallelujah, Amen" should absolutely be the next one, followed by "Me And My Girlfriends".

I think this is a fantastic album. I have it on repeat. I love the version of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot". I can tell this was a labor of love for her and I could not be more excited about it. I wonder how well the album will so thought?

The album is expected to sell 35-40k, with SPS of 40-45k (as per Hits). Hopefully that's enough for a #1 debut.

Like someguy, I can't imagine this album having a ton of replay value for me because of what it is, but it's definitely a strong effort. The second disc is a lot more interesting to me than the first for probably obvious reasons, and there's some pretty dang good songs on there. I think "Back to God" was a great choice for the lead single because it's probably my favorite on the album. I really like the originals quite a bit, and while the traditional hymns are a solid listen, most of them didn't stand out to me a whole lot, besides maybe "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" which has an excellent production job. Her rendition of "There Is a God" is acceptable, but I love Lee Ann Womack's too much for Reba's to really work for me.

I don't know if anyone else has bought the Deluxe Edition Bonus Tracks on Amazon, but they might be the two best songs on the album!! I'm in love with them right now

The sales projections are high enough. Brantley Gilbert will be lucky to sell about 25% of his opening 66,000 copies of his current album.

I'm surprised actually that she is expected to sell that well, considering it's a gospel album. Rooting for #1!

Ranking the originals half:
01. Back to God 02. Sing It Now 03. Say a Prayer 04. Angels Singin'
05. God and My Girlfriends 06. Angel on My Shoulder 07. There Is a God
08. Hallelujah, Amen 09. I Got the Lord on My Side 10. From the Inside Out
Looove the Top 4, #s 5-7 are solid (still prefer LAW's "There Is a God" and that is all I can think about every time I play Reba's, but it's still good), and then #s 8-10 are kinda meh. None of those do much for me.

Huge numbers for a project like this. That's great for Reba.

I love this album! She did great arrangements of the old songs and the new songs are classic sounding Reba all the way!

Congrats Reba! She is truly the queen! For a gospel project to pull in those numbers is impressive. She never ceases to amaze me. Lucky 13!

Has anybody else noticed that this is the first album that has been marketed as Reba McEntire since The Last One To Know in 1987? Literally everything since then has been only Reba. I found that to be a very interesting observation.

I found that to be a very interesting observation. Well, Reba McEntire wanted to reach a point in her career that she just wanted to be known as just Reba. Kind of like Dolly. Reba got her wish in 1988 by simply titling her album Reba. Excellent observation!

I found that to be a very interesting observation. Oh, you're right! Maybe she's doing that to differentiate between her country releases and gospel release.

Officially passes the 200,000 sold mark, which is great for a gospel album that hasn't received all that much airplay. I wonder if the RIAA counts it as a double album. If so, it has a good chance of being certified Gold in the next few months.

I've been listening to this album off and on all year, but this has finally clicked with me. Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album please.

I'm thrilled for Reba. Between the CMA, Grammy and CMT nominations, this has been her most successful awards season in years. I really hope that she can pull off the Grammy win.
