#1 in 1979 (their second of two and only one led by Michael McDonald). Song of the Year and Record of the Year Grammy winner. Written by Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins.
I love this. Definitely my favorite from the Michael McDonald period.

I love it.
Aretha Franklin covered this a year later and had a Top 20 R&B hit.

This performance. Kenny's voice does things to me, I'm telling you.

This is an anytime, anywhere, go-to song for me. I remember not knowing what the hell he was singing in that falsetto part, but I would sing along anyway.

I'm still entranced by that Kenny Loggins performance from the 90s. What a gorgeous man and gorgeous voice.
