It should have been Reba's again. But, "Strong Enough to Bend" was very good as well.

The Grammy voters were in love with K.T. Oslin at this time. A large part of Hold Me was recitation. That's what made the record unique. Tanya Tucker NEVER winning a Grammy is a crime unto itself. Love the series @adam1995. Keep it up.

@adam1995 is correct. It was very common for albums go up against singles. Very strange indeed. That continued into 1994 (I believe) when the Best Country Album was either introduced or reinstated.

K.T. Oslin hands down; her performance of "Hold Me" at the 1989 Grammy's was just flawless.
