For the first time I've not voted for Queen Reba. I have to choose Martina here, just an absolute classic that was not treated properly when it was released. Thank goodness "Independence Day"'s legacy has grown since then.
Patty was a close second for me. Beautiful song.

Wow. This is crazy tough. Patty and Martina with legitimate classics, Reba with a pretty bold entry. I like "Shut Up and Kiss Me," but vocally it isn't anywhere near those other nominees.

This really should've went to Martina, Reba, or Patty. Maybe the competition split the vote enough to give the edge to MCC. My vote goes to Patty.

Queen Reba.
Though I can see a case being made for Martina or Patty.
The Grammys loved MCC though, just as they loved Vince Gill.

Holy hell, Martina was up for a Grammy with "Independence Day" and lost? It's a good thing I was only 2, because I would have found that to be particularly meltdown-worthy

I would have given it to Martina McBride, Patty Loveless, or Reba McEntire.
