Not sure on all the specifics of release dates, but most/all of these were eligible and would have been better than some of the nominees: "Time Marches On" - Tracy Lawrence "Little Bitty" - Alan Jackson "I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore" - Bryan White "Carried Away" or "Blue Clear Sky" - George Strait (they never really liked him) "The Beaches of Cheyenne" - Garth Brooks

Nothing by Dwight Yoakam deserved to win. There was nothing like it on country radio at the time. Otherwise, Vince Gill deserved to win following Clint Black.
