Norwegian singer Astrid S is finally releasing her debut album "Leave It Beautiful" on October 16th after several EPs: 2016's "Astrid S", 2017's "Party's Over" and 2019's "Trust Issues" & "Down Low" http://instagram.com/p/CFKtUmGp_xZ The first two singles released are "Dance Dance Dance" and "Marilyn Monroe" which both peaked in Norway's Top 10. A new song titled "It's ok if you forget me" is out this Friday |

She is indeed talented and I really want her to break out, but lately I feel her songs are too repetitive. It's like she's trying too hard to ride on the tropical house trend to be noticed.

She is indeed slaying Norway's 2017
I consider her success this year very impressive!
She 'only' came off of one prior hit single and debuted straight at #3 with Breathe
I would have never expected 'Such A Boy' to reach #2 and the #1 debut for TBIT was also very surprising
I don't even know why this song was released while SAB was still smashing but it was a smart move apparently
As for US success: I think 'Think Before I Talk' vould smash because it feels like 'Issues' in a way - hopefully they will push that

Finally there's news! After almost 10 months without new music she has announced on her Insta story today that she had been in the studio for the past 6 months suggesting new songs are on the way! Furthermore she told her fans to send her lyrics to create a whole original song within a day which will be released to YouTube. If mine is in it I'll tell you  |

In addition to "Emotion" (#3), she's released "Closer", "Someone New" (#9) and "The First One" (#5) to promote her new EP titled "Trust Issues" which she just announced and is due August 30. Her recent collabs with Frank Walker (Only When It Rains) and JP Cooper (Sing It With Me) peaked at #33 and #22 on the Norwegian charts, respectively. She's also announced the "Stripped Down Tour" which will occur in September and stop in Norway, Germany, France, the UK, the Netherlands and the US. The tour will be fully acoustic! The EP is out! In addition to the singles "Emotion", "Someone New" and "The First One" it contains "Trust Issues" and "Doing To Me".
I'm so obsessed with "Doing To Me", it's so catchy, she sounds amazing and I just love the whole production

So I attended her tour on Monday and wow she's gorgeous has an angelic voice and just crazy energy!
Alongside the EP tracks she performed songs like "Hurts So Good", "Such A Boy", "Hyde", "Think Before I Talk", "Jump" etc. but also FOUR new tracks!
Those being:
"Good Choices" (an uplifting track)
"Favorite Part Of Me" (a ballad)
"Down Low" (probably a strong pop smash)
"Side Love"
Out of those I liked Down Low the most, question now is... Is there an album coming soon!??

She just surprised released another EP titled "Down Low" containing three of the aforementioned songs, funny coincidence that it's dropping exactly now  She slayed again, this whole EP is very lowkey, fitting considering her tour was acoustic too Down Low is way more lowkey than I was expecting, Sidelove is actually way better than I remembered and probably my favorite Unsure what she's trying to do, I bet she's just doing music and having fun, releasing what and when she feels like it and I really like that attitude! |
