Every Mile a Memory: A Dierks Bentley Rankdown
Welcome to Every Mile a Memory: A Dierks Bentley Rankdown, the first ever Dierks Bentley rankdown on Pulse! I'm your host, fearlessarrow and today (and for the next month or so) we are here to celebrate one of the best artists out there right now (imo), Dierks Bentley. For those of you who know me, I'm glad you're considering joining this rankdown (and please do!), and for those of you who don't know me, it is a pleasure to meet you and I hope as many of you can join as possible! This is my first time hosting a rankdown, so I hope I can do half as well as the great hosts that has led us through past rankdowns.
There are 34 songs in the rankdown that consist of his singles up until his brand-new single "What the Hell Did I Say" and his featured singles that were listed on Wikipedia's list of songs he was featured on (except for "Forever Country" for obvious reasons). I have put up YouTube links to each of the songs in the rankdown (I don't use Spotify that much so I didn't make a Spotify playlist, but if someone wants to make it that would be greatly appreciated!). If you think that I should add more songs (charted album tracks etc.), we can discuss that as a whole and make a decision about it.
For those who are not familiar with rankdowns, here's what you do:
1. Go listen to all of the songs listed below (and trust me, you will not regret it).
2. Rank them from #1 through #34, with #1 being your favorite and #34 being your least favorite.
3. PM me your list.
4. This is not a requirement, but try to follow along with the results reveal if you can because that is the most fun part!Don't miss out on all the shade people throw at each other.
The songs will be ranked on an inverse point scale (#34 having 1 point and #1 having 34 points). If you want to change your submission at any time, you can do it as many times as you want before the deadline.

Spotify playlist (special thanks to matteeeb for making this playlist!):
Dierks Bentley has come a long way from wondering what he was thinking to well... wondering what the hell he said, so he clearly still has some issues with remembering what or why he did things (jk) but he's had so many gems along the way. For some of you who are very familiar with Dierks' discography, this road might be a free and easy one to go down. For others, this might be a long trip alone where you have to listen to songs you don't know. There may be times where you might want to settle for a slowdown because of that and wonder what you were thinking deciding to participate in this rankdown. However, please hold on like Dierks does because when you come a little closer to the end, every mile on this journey will be a memory.
If you decide to not participate, I will not try to stop your leaving. However, if you feel that fire to rank Dierks songs and submit your list, get on to ranking because there's a lot of rankin' left to do!!!The tentative due date for submissions is Sunday, August 20th. That should leave a fair amount of time after the Martina McBride rankdown (which I really need to start doing right now) and Tim McGraw rankdown submissions to heal from rankdown burnouts (if that's something you all have because I know I get that sometimes). If you think you might need an extension, don't hesitate to tell me and we can work something out together.
I've extended the deadline and have extended the deadline until Wednesday, August 23rd!
