from that snippet, wouldn't surprise me if it's a drawn back track like "If I Get High" from the last album. Either way I'm shocked they haven't sent Amsterdam yet, considering they had a #1 hit on Alt less than two years ago...

Just based off the snippet, I could see the song kicking into a harder gear later on in the song.

Definitely more subdued than Amsterdam and doesn't really ramp up to a higher intensity but I'm digging it.

Song's not up there with "Amsterdam", but Conor Mason's voice is just magic. Might be my favorite vocalist right now.

It was a nice first listen, but I don't think I'll end up loving this more than Amsterdam.

The song has a nice build up effect, but I really dislike how it commences. It takes almost a full minute before it picks up. I like the instrument sounds at the 2:30 mark. That's more my style. It's not bad, but not great.

Amsterdam was fine but this is in my opinion much more quality, and much more of release that will make sense to sell them and their new album.
I really think this will be huge and it's a subtle enough to have legs and even possibly crossover. If they play their cards right, they could be the true rock band to breakthrough to CHR and Hot AC which is just a matter of time when the direction pulls back to rock on those formats, and it will, it always does. EDM is so oversaturated and everyone sounds too alike and you can tell those songs are starting to suffer and the longetivity is not there.
On another note, if any U.K. Import (as there always is one every decade or so) to fulfill UK Radio staple for alternative music, I think it might be these guys (The Police -> U2 -> Coldplay -> NBT). Way early but again, I see them and The 1975 blowing it up in 2018

glad they're at least sending something and it probably fits the current state of the format more. While I do really like this song I really wanted to see how Amsterdam would have done on Alt.

Goes for Alternative adds on August 8. I can see this doing very well at Alt... and if they choose to send to Hot AC/CHR... depending on what other "Rock" records are sent there, they'll have to push past Imagine Dragons, and possibly X Ambassadors new stuff to get a coveted rock slot on CHR playlists... this could easily do it |

I prefer "Amsterdam", but I thought this was pretty solid on first listen. The vocals are great, and after the first minute and a half it really starts to pick up. I see this one being a grower.

i tend to agree with everything said above...this is good but not as good as Amsterdam...but this does have crossover appeal...i don't see it going to #1 on HotAC (like Believer) but i could see it getting up to the top 20 or higher...while the video is well done, it doesn't seem "pop-friendly" to me...but then i'm not sure how much importance videos have these days (certainly not as important as they were back in the 80s)
