I'm not gonna lie, I kinda like this song. The hook falls completely flat though and kinda brings the song down. But overall I like it.

Not feeling this one. The production is a little lackluster for me and agree with a previous poster, the hook feels forced and falls flat.

I like this. Not sure what, if anything, it will do, but it's a decent song.

The melody really falls flat. It's extremely boring and generic. Sounds like typical radio fodder to me, so I don't see why it shouldn't do well.
So I'm listening as I'm typing, and I'm almost at the end of the song now. I think this is probably a grower. I'm liking it a lot better even now than I was initially. Definitely underwhelming on first listen, though.

Up a couple of spots on Mediabase to #68.
I actually kind of like this song. Somehow. The start has been fairly good so far as we are about month into this songs chart run. I don't know if this can be a huge smash, but I have a feeling that this song could be a sleeper hit and quitely make itself into like the Top 20 (kinda like last year with Trent Harmon "There's A Girl").

Okay, I am obsessed with this. It's just so different and catchy and I love the message of the song. I hope this becomes a big hit!

Is this song still climbing or is it done? No, it's still being promoted, but like the songs from Raelynn and Levon it's having a hard time breaking through and gaining much audience. Brandon Lay did get 2 more adds on Mediabase this week and his total is now at 54 total stations. Another problem this song is having is that it's audience is very low as it hasn't even cleared 700k yet on Mediabase. This song is being promoted but the start is rather slow and discouraging to say the least.

I swear I must be in the one market that plays these songs that struggle early on. The Way I Talk should have been a number based on how much I heard it the first 20 weeks or so it was out. This one is getting plenty of play too. Almost anything that peaks in the low 20's-#40 usually gets a lot of play here.

With a title like that, you'd think a song would be more memorable than it was.
Not quite worth blasting out the first part, rooting in the second part, and listening to the final part.

I do kind of enjoy this one enough not to change it, but I agree. That's a very country title and this is a very average song. I have no clue who Brandon Lay is after listening to this and the song itself gives me no desire to check out more of his music (if there is any). Would have guessed from the title that this was a real coming-of-age song.

I am listening to "New Boots" playlist on Spotify and this song came up and I really liked it.I put this one in my "smooth songs" category. He has other songs on his profile there so I am gonna listen to get to know him better. I always like to listen more than the single when a song catches my attention mainly because not always the single is the artist best song.

Debuts at #60 on airplay chart almost 4 months after impacting radio Ouch! It's been that long. At this point the most I can see is a Top 40 finish at best. Which is shocking since I thought radio was pretty receptive to this early on.

No way is this going Top 40 if it took 4 months just to chart. It'll be lucky to make it out of the 50s probably.

This song makes its MB Top 50 debut at #50. Who knows, maybe this can at least get a MB Top 40 finish. I've seen crazier things happen.

UMG Nashville officially dropped promotion for this one last week. Lost 54 spins on Mediabase today and 150 in spin losses the past week. It peaked at #42 on Mediabase a month ago, but down #50 today on the rolling chart.
It impacted radio in early August of 2017...
