Kelela continues to impress me. Her vocals are so perfect on this album. This album is immaculate. An album like Raven is what I wish Solange would do instead of focusing on patchwork art-school projects masquerading as albums. Kelela is proof that you can be artsy and still make an actual listenable album, all the way through. Album of the year worthy, up there with Raye. A+
Fooley (Umm...what is this hypnotic shit?! This is so up my alley. Giving me old school Abel vibes.) Closure (Whewwwwwwwwwwwwww...I was not ready for the feelings this song put into my body.) On The Run (I was wondering who Kelela reminds me of vocally and Yukimi of Little Dragon came to mind with Kelela's vibrato on this one. This is so fucking sexy and is definitely going on The Playlist. It feels...humid.) Enough For Love (When it first started, I wasn't sure, but once it got going, it really became a beautiful song. The random accents thrown in here and there really keep me engaged. Can't wait to hear this on headphones.) Divorce (Wow, what a stunning song. Kelela is an underrated vocalist.) Sorbet Bruises Raven Let It Go (The bass on this one is lethal. What a tune!) Happy Ending Contact Missed Call Far Away Holier Washed Away

Late to the party, but I just discovered this album and it is damn near perfect. Such a vibe.
The video for "Enough For Love" is also very beautiful.

Funny this thread was bumped, FINALLY came in the mail this week. Not sure wth took so long.
I do think this could be trimmed by two or three songs, but it is a stunning body of work. I especially love how the album is mixed. That 1-2-3-4 punch of "On The Run," "Missed Call," "Closure," and "Contact." WHEW! I was not ready.

The more I listen to it, the more I love it and the fact that two of my faves love it too is just icing on the cake.

I’m still playing this record 10 months after it was released… candidate to AOTY for me. The fact that it was completely ignored at the Grammys tells you all you need to know about them.

Yeah, this really is an incredible body of work, deserved nominations. "Contact" ended up being my second most played song of the year, the way that track goes so DEEEEEP.
On a random note, "America Has A Problem" ended up being my most played song of the year. The way it flows right into "Contact" is a mixtape wetdream.

Remix album coming Wednesday.
It’s on her twitter which I don’t know how to link.
Rave:n - The remixes. Tracklist: On the Run (ANTCONSTANTINO Remix) Better (Dean Blunt Remix) On the Run + Far Away (River Moon Remix) [feat. Thugpop] Far Away (DJ Swisha Remix) Contact (Karen Nyame KG Remix) Bruises (Sucia! Remix) Closure (Bambii Remix) Fooley (Shayne Oliver + Nightfeelings Remix) Holier (JD Reid Remix) Far Away (DJ LHC Brazil Remix) Divorce (DJ Manny Remix) Sorbet (LSDXOXO Remix) Raven [feat. Rochelle Jordan] Happy Ending (Drill Remix) Let It Go (Ngunzunzu + DJ Gay-Z Remix) Raven [feat. Bbymutha] Closure (Flexulant Remix) [feat. Rahrah Gabor & Brazy] Holier [feat. Shygirl] (Bobby Beethoven Remix)
I doubt any of these remixes would improve on the originals, but we’ll see.

This album is such a masterpiece. My fave from last year and "Contact" is also my fave song. I'm not enjoying those remixes at all, but I kinda like "Enough for Love" and "Sorbet" remixes.
I hope she doesn't delay starting a new era this time.

Hopefully the next album is more my speed
