And she went on stage to help honor Reba for her 40th Opry Anniversary with Vince Gill and Dolly Parton. Cement your legacy, Carrie. Go on, sis.

^^ Two legends on the same stage, what a treat for fans: I think Carrie might be under the weather since she sounded uncharacteristically off during her solo set, but she at least sang my favourite CU song ever, 'Wasted'.

That was phenomenal. Reba and Carrie doing "Does He Love You" is pretty much perfect.

She sounded much better in this than she did on the SoundCloud rip, or is it just me?

I don't think the Opry's feed was terrible, but rather it isolates the vocal more than some other HQ performances. Therefore, her issues with pitch, tone, and even range were rather evident, whereas they were covered up by the instrumentation in the LQ YT video. Because all of these facets were quite uncharacteristically off for Carrie (but still better than 95% of mainstream singers on a good day), I tend to believe she was ill or simply having an off vocal day. In comparison, below are two of my favourite HQ performances of 'Wasted'- in both, her vocal was fairly isolated but was flawless (especially the first) unlike the recent Opry one: youtu.be/fMdgpX0SHiQyoutu.be/Xf1m1Jns3i4On another note, Carrie is 10 years older (and has had a kid) now than in those performances. How is it that she has not physically aged a single day, and is even as or more beautiful than she was at that time ? Perhaps, we all could take note of the cosmetic benefits of healthy eating/veganism and physical exercise 😱

There are rumors swirling that she's in the early stages of a 2nd pregnancy. I wouldn't be surprised if that's responsible for the wear & tear heard at the Opry.
But can you imagine if all other vocalists - even the other great ones - were graded based on that kind of vocal feed? I think it's a bit deceiving in that it pronounces issues that otherwise would probably be minimal live or in recorded video. I mean the YouTube video above compared to the stream is like night & day.

It definitely seems like there's a little bump there! If she is, I hope she has a girl!

If she is pregnant, we won't receive an album until at least next Fall.

If she is pregnant, we won't receive an album until at least next Fall. At least fall if not later (again IF she were pregnant at 3-4 months now with a baby due March/April), but what is interesting is that Capitol executive stated that there will be new Carrie music in Q1 2018? which would be completely inconsistent with a pregnancy, so we shall know soon....

They might have planned for that, but plans can always change... I'm pretty sure the GH album wasn't the original plan when she was pregnant the first time. In the months leading up to SITW's release, all signs were pointing to a new album. Then all the sudden she announced she was pregnant on Labor Day and a GH album followed that December... So we'll see!

The bump is more evident in one of David Wild's pictures from their writing session which I can't find again which leads me to believe she is definitely pregnant and asked him to take it down. I didn't want to say anything because of the drama that always surrounds such a speculation. Glad I'm not crazy and there are apparently a lot of people who are thinking it and seeing the bump.
As with Isaiah, happy for their family...and more power to us fans as we strive for more patience.

Wow how great it was to hear Carrie and Reba sing together. I thought they both sounded great. As to the pregnancy rumors, if and when she has news to share she'll make an announcement but likely wouldn't do that until about 3 months in. People will keep guessing that she's pregnant until one day they'll likely end up being correct.

I find most of these lists ridiculous. To name her 5th most powerful woman in country is laughable. Not to discredit Carrie (I’m a huge fan) but to think she’s placed higher than Dixie Chicks, Martina, Shania and Faith is to discredit the foundation those women laid upon which Carrie stands. I rarely hold Taste of country in high regards especially after that Billy dude contradicted himself numerous times

Not to discredit Carrie (I’m a huge fan) but to think she’s placed higher than Dixie Chicks, Martina, Shania and Faith is to discredit the foundation those women laid upon which Carrie stands. I rarely hold Taste of country in high regards especially after that Billy dude contradicted himself numerous times In addition to the mainstream commercial and critical success (NFL, Superbowl, numerous Grammy Awards, better single/album AND TOUR sales than most all-genre artists of BOTH genders), in her 13th year in the industry, she has had amazing genre-specific critical and commercial success- who else can claim superior radio and sales success besides Shania. From a vocal perspective, I can only think of one country female artist from the past 3 decades who could be considered to have a better voice than Carrie. As a genre and non-genre specific ambassador for country music, she has done more than anyone in the past 15 years to bring people to country music and has taken some political stances (gay marriage, LGBT support, veganism, animal activism) that are not exactly the most popular in the genre's base. Additionally, she has some non-country artist-related ventures on her CV (Sound of Music Live, her athleisure clothing line, perennial CMA Awards host, etc)- add to this her longevity of >13 years in the business with many, many more to come. To think that all of this is for just one artist, Carrie who already is a country legend, #5 is correct for Carrie today when looking at #6-30, and I can see Carrie moving up the list over the next decade. If one listed every facet of what goes into being a "powerful country female singer" on a spreadsheet and listed the accomplishments of each artist, perhaps you might think differently. Since I can't see who is listed #1-#4, can someone please list these ladies ?Just found why, lol, but that means Miranda Lambert will be on in the Top 4 spots (something I strongly disagree with), which leaves Reba, Dolly, Loretta Lynn: Country Music’s 30 Most Powerful Women of All Time will be revealed day by day in September, wrapping the No. 1 artist on Sept. 30. ^It's funny, because the two most powerful women in the country music industry are easily Reba and Dolly, with absolutely no contests from anyone else.

I feel like the top five should be:
1: Dolly Parton 2: Reba 3: Loretta Lynn 4: Shania Twain 5: Carrie Underwood
While I certainly think Miranda deserves a spot in the top 10, I think top five is a massive stretch when you're comparing her to the likes of Reba and Dolly. Carrie has done far more in her career than Miranda in terms of reaching heights similar to the few who rank above her, in my opinion.
