Cover art currently has 34k upvotes on r/crappydesign It's kind of hilarious that people aren't getting that the cover is a parody of those classic wolf tee shirts.

This is fun! Though why does it seem like in every EDM/pop song the drop kills the momentum of the song? Can we get another "We Found Love"?

This is ok. At one time I was kind of getting into her music. However "Fetish, Bad Liar, It Ain't Me" and now this I just haven't been completely behind. "Trust Nobody" was the last song of hers I was really into or didn't get sick of quickly. Surprisingly the drop in this doesn't offend me all that much because I am someone who is tired of a lot of them as well.

I can't manage to feel disappointed at all, instead I find it to be a very catchy song and I love the sound of it (both vocal and music). I really like that future bass feel so I believe that helps too. From my point if view, it's an amazing and successful hit!

With "We Found Love" the drop went with the rest of the song. Many times, songs will have a drop in a song that might be great, but sounds totally out of place with the rest of the song.

While the build up part is amazing, the drop is underwhelming like it fails me to impress. I also heard It Aint Me on this.

This is fine.
That's it. It's just fine. Nothing bad, nothing great, just... existing.

Calvin Harris is the only EDM artist/producer who has effectively crossed over into the Pop realm and continued to make good music IMO. Kygo, Zedd, and now Marshmello, they all seem to have made boring middle of the road songs since trying to appeal to mass audiences. It's like they completely forgot their originality and who they are so they can try and make a radio friendly hit (that ultimately ends up hardly moving the needle). This song is so mediocre that it almost becomes infuriating, especially considering the talent behind it. I wish these EDM artist would stop trying to conform to whats being played on radio, and be brave enough to champion their original sound.

I like the song but it is kind of bland, drop is underwhelming Personally I feel like a lot of popular songs by EDM/Dance acts have been bland this year, especially in their drops I only can name a few exceptions, the two below however are two of my favorite songs of the year

So true, you can definitely hear it in Zedd's "Get Low" or Kygo's last few songs. They are literally crippling their quality.

In terms of DJ's that I think have stayed closer to their sound thus far and didn't conform to mainstream sound like other: Alan Walker (love Faded & Sing Me To Sleep) NERVO (I love these two so much, super underrated and unknown too ;-;) Disclosure (they always remained close to their familiar sound and it works well on them)
Can't really think of anyone else atm, since some have made attempts at conforming to mainstream sound so they don't really count That and I haven't really listened to a whole lot of various EDM/Dance artists aside from maybe a song or 2

The problem I found with djs is they are keeping the same sound. As an example, Alan Walker, I loved Faded but Sing Me To Sleep was Faded 2.0 and Alone was Faded 3.0 I haven't heard The Spectre and yesterday I heard his track with Noah Cyrus and sound little different.
Same with Marshmello, I can hear the beat of Alone in this song.

Hopefully this will be Top 40 in a couple days and can be nearing Top 30 by the time of its adds date. And then not long after that is the AMAs performance.
This is also holding much stronger than "Fetish" ever did on iTunes.
