Come througghh! Shame that nowadays people are just sick of older artists. P!nk, Taylor, and Demi are all ignored except the fans that sticked. Shame because they're all quite talented. Taylor ignored ? Her era was given tons of hype it just hasn’t connected. Look what you made me do had record breaking YouTube views. She received tons of media attention with barley any traditional promotion

She really can't ever seem to find her footing with a second single no matter how successful her first single is. This is the third time this has happened. Granted, none of the songs she's chosen as a second single have really been single-worthy ("Made in the USA", "Confident", and this). Her label and management need to do more testing next time around.

Ehh...

Ehh... To some degree, I think MITUSA was a fine single choice, but the rollout was terrible & there were better suited second singles. Let’s hope she bounces back with a third single this time.

Ehh... Oh for sure. "Confident" was a bigger hit than "Made in the USA", but it was still an underperformance for the single it was coming off of. And no, I don't think "Confident" is really single-worthy. It was great as the album opener, but it sounded dated for the time. Then again, that album didn't have many single options, so maybe it really was the best option. Regardless, my point stands: her second singles for the past 3 albums have now been underperformers in comparison to their respective lead singles, and she, her management and label should figure out how to stop this from happening again and again.

Confident has sold more digital copies than Cool for the Summer and isn't that far behind it in other metrics.

I'm so over this song already. Pop needs to either drop it already or make it a hit.

Yeah, if this doesn't start moving soon, her and her team just needs to move the fuck on themselves. I mean, this will go recurrent on the Hot 100 next week for god's sake!
My vote is for "Ruin the Friendship," "Games," or honestly, "Lonely." I don't see RTF really doing much more than this after how this fared, but it's one of those songs that just needs to be a part of the artist's singles discography. "Games" has that throwback vibe that really worked with "Sorry Not Sorry." "Lonely" is really in line with the streaming crowd's taste and could benefit from that as well. I don't see anything else really doing much at this point. "Sexy Dirty Love" has potential if this had been as big as "Sorry Not Sorry" or even "Neon Lights," but alas, it was not. "Daddy Issues" is more of the same pop girl sound that has been flopping left and right since the end of 2016. And nothing else from the album sounds radio friendly enough to work for an artist that doesn't have an immensely strong name on radio.

I haven't been following this that closely but it was somewhere in the top 5 on Ryan Seacrests radio show the other day. Annnnnddd I have heard it so much the past couple weeks, I figured it was top 5 in airplay. I did not get why bc the song is old. Now that I see the stats I'm more confused.

This is a much better representation of the album than "Sorry Not Sorry", so I can't see anything else from Tell Me You Love Me doing much if this barely went top 20. I'd expect Demi to change her sound a lot for her next album (more in line with SNS).
It's a shame because it's a strong album, and SNS seemed to be the kind of hit to finally get her on radio's good graces (like Halsey's "Now or Never" surprised and how she's gotten hit after hit since).

Thing is, Demi never really struggled at radio that much, particularly during the DEMI era.
They should just release “Games” and call it a day or release “Lonely” and replace Wayne with a more current and poppin rapper.

Forget a rapper, add in JoJo. That song already sounds like a Demi/JoJo collab, might as well actually do it!
No, but for real, put Drake on it over Lil Wayne, instant smash.

I'm all in for "Games" being next.
It's really sad to see that this has basically become a radio filler. The song had so much potential out of the gate prior and after the album release.
