Going to guess one of those clues is for “Absence of the Heart.”

Wait why do people hate Garth so much? These are not my favorite Garth songs but bottom 4 out of 104? yikes 1. He doesn't put his music up for digital download (think iTunes and Google Play) or streaming (Spotify) for the public, although he does have a deal with Amazon, which is better than nothing I guess. castleoblivion26 also had to dig pretty hard to find audio clips for his songs. I'll be hosting some year-end rankdowns next year and I won't be as nice as he has been. 2. Some people, like me, may just find him overrated and are therefore upset that he was able to sell so much music during his heyday in comparison to his peers, having several multi-platinum and diamond certified albums. I personally do like some of his songs and have thought about buying his music from time to time, but other songs that have seen popularity surges as of late (e.g. "Friends in Low Places" and maybe "Two Pina Coladas", simply because it involves alcohol) are admittedly not his best. 3. One more thing: he also broke the record for having the highest debut on country airplay...by debuting at #1! That can definitely infuriate people, and duplicating that feat wouldn't even take a miracle given the state of radio and the music industry today. also late response to this but thanks! That's fair - no streaming is really obnoxious. And the digital download thing - rip garthtunes but actually good riddance. I guess I personally don't really care about the chart record, but I can see how that can be frustrating especially to people who don't really think he's such hot tickets. I think I was just caught off guard because he's sold so many records and concert tickets etc. but I saw most people here predicting he'd do terribly (and so far so bad). :)

I feel like Garth has always been one of those love him or hate him artists, no in between. Back in the 90's when I was young he always kind of rubbed me the wrong way, and I'm not sure why. I guess he always seemed to have this arrogance about him. The whole pushing More Than a Memory like crazy and getting it to debut at #1 was so over the top and it kind of made chart-watching not so much fun for me after seeing something like that happen. Now there's the whole no iTunes or Spotify thing. I'll admit I don't know all of the details behind it, but in my mind he gives off this whole "Don't they know who I am? I'm too good to be on Spotify or iTunes" vibe with that. Even finding any kind of recording of his songs I wasn't as familiar with for this rankdown was next to impossible. I think next time his songs appear on a rankdown that I don't know I'll just rank them at the bottom. It's just incredibly obnoxious how he makes it so difficult to access his music without buying a physical CD. The thing is I really enjoy some of his songs and would probably buy some on iTunes, but that's not even an option and I don't like it well enough to buy the physical CD. But either way he's doing just fine I guess without taking advantage of modern-day ways to purchase and access his music.

just realized I messed up on the video for Vince Gill so you cannot really see the graph in it. Not going to fix it tbh but will try and remember not to forget to fix that in the next videos. Plus there will be more info and stuff included going forward, just got a little late tonight so I ommitted some things. Be back tomorrow to reveal some more songs. I only see 7 clues? 1- Could be any bar song so I will guess Longneck Bottle 2- I am stumped. 3- So Happy I Can't Stop Crying - Toby Keith & Sting 4- Where Your Road Leads ~ Trisha Yearwood Ft. Garth Brooks (fork in the road) 5- Absence of the Heart - Deana Carter 6- A Bitter End ~ Deryl Dodd 7- This Kiss ~ Faith Hill ? LOL

Yep, a few of these next eliminations are gonna hurt me. :(
"This Kiss" has the line "you got me floatin, you got me flyin'", which makes me think of Patty Loveless's "High on Love".

Yeah, it is definitely NOT "This Kiss" this early... That song is definitely a top 15 contender, at the very least. "This Kiss" curb stomped 36 of Faith's singles to come in at #4 of the Faith Hill rankdown, and even then it only finished 3 points behind the second-place song.

I am working on some reveals for shortly. Will say some of the guesses are right but most are off.
one little hint, I wouldn't hint that a song is out by using the song itself. I doubt anyone will guess the hint regarding "This Kiss" but we shall see

the #102 song is this hint: One person did correctly guess that this song was one of the songs I was referring to with the hints I posted, HOWEVER this picture is actually a hint for 2 songs! The second one comes up much later!

Oh God, I hope "Absence of the Heart" is nowhere close to this low on the rankdown. If so, y'all suck. :X

I could see that song being considered boring by some, but as a whole she should be well-liked enough to at least make it close to the halfway point with a boring song. (Not saying that the song IS boring. Just that even if it is boring to some, she should hopefully do well because many others like you and me will find it NOT boring!)

I finally like a Michael Peterson song, and then it gets eliminated right away... His other song might as well go next, for all I care. THIS was the one that I wanted to do well. It was a little boring at first, but the lyrics totally won me over with this one. Very descriptive song, with a brilliant hook. I would have probably put it in my top 20 if George Strait sang it.

I'm so mad, I almost guessed this instead of "Longneck Bottle" but people hate Garth so much I was swayed.

I do agree it's a little soon for this to go out, but evidently I had it going into the bottom four anyways, so at this point, what difference does it make? I actually listened to Michael's album a few weeks ago and was pretty impressed; great vocals and great set of songs. "Drink, Swear, Steal, and Lie" was one of a multitude of songs that I remember from my childhood, and I'm said that I jumped on the rankdown wagon a little late (missed the '97 rankdown where I could've probably infuriated a lot more posters on here with my tentative ranking for certain songs that shall not be mentioned). bboat11, you can go ahead and put me on your blacklist because I ranked 'Too Good to Be True' pretty high; it's such an earworm!

I'm definitely with you that this songs lyrics are great. Sad this is out so early, it really deserved better as a single and on here. BTW as that songs lowest rank was 101 bboat11 remains the only person to lose their 104 song. Up next is only the second person to lose theirs and the last in the Bottom 5! Hint for the last song to miss the Top 100: Also, this next song was never in the Bottom 5 until zaclord 🌈's list. The hint is a play on the title of the song in a way. Not sure how else to explain it but hopefully once the song is revealed everyone will get it. No one has guessed what this song is but the singer has been mentioned...

I found it to be pretty unmemorable overall, which definitely put it in the back half of my rankings. Plus the audio quality of the music video is ass, so maybe it just felt like something was missing when I was watching it I might like the quality album version of the song more!

I have no recollection of this song whatsoever. I wouldn't really say it's a bad song, but my lack of familiarity and nothing really standing out to me on it had me ranking it pretty low.

I’m going to take a wild guess and say Faith’s video is referencing “Nothin’ New Under the Moon” by LeAnn Rimes since it shows Faith flying under the moon on a rocket ship a few times.

This is begining to look a lot like Rock rankdowns where my favourite songs are eliminated first.
When The Bartender Cries has so beautiful melody and heartbreaking lyrics. I like that part at the begining of chrous the most.

I think that’s what did in “When the Bartender Cries.” I listened to country radio a lot in 1998 and I had zero recollection of that song.

101 ~ She's Gonna Make It ~ Garth BrooksAlbum: Sevens Songwriters: Kent Blazy, Kim Williams, Garth Brooks Billboard Peak: 2 RANKS:BlueShades874 15 tim 24 someguy 28 dub 44 Cody Wants Out... 56 BackwoodsBarbie 67 sabre14 75 Kanenrá:ke 82 Sambalada 88 LBTrocks 92 fearlessarrow 93 castleoblivion26 95 austin 97 bboat11 98 d3vin44 102 zaclord 🌈 102 Todd 103 .indulgecountry 103 kansasmeetsmo 104 Following Along:Leo ✔ countrymusicjunkie Troublemaker mamasaid The Final song to miss the Top 100 is Garth Brooks "She's Gonna Make It". The hint of "I Will Survive" was referring to the title character is gonna make it. (weak hint maybe?). Anyways my graphic got screwed up for the cover art but I only just noticed it so am leaving it. Really not sure what happened there. Anyways, kansasmeetsmo becomes the second person to lose their #104. BTW 17 different songs got ranked at 104, with only 2 different songs getting two 104 rankings (those both don't come until a little later on). Also BlueShades874 becomes the first person to lose their first Top 20 ranking song. This becomes the 2nd Garth Brooks single to be eliminated after "You Move Me". At one point this song was the highest ranking song for him but it fell hard.
Sevens is probably my least favorite of Garth's 90's albums. I dislike just about every song from the album. This one is definitely at the bottom of the album for me so I am glad to see this go here.

I wasn’t much of a fan of “She’s Gonna Make It” back when it was on radio (I was really sick of Garth back in ‘98), but this song has aged well for me and I do enjoy it now.

Up next someone loses their #103 but no one loses their last place song. However on the other end of the spectrum someone loses a Top 12 next! This is the hint that goes with the #100 song: I will add this to the hint. NO ONE has correctly guessed this one. This is supposed to be a picture of a park (not sure how obvious that is). The park is the hint

I hope is not "Everything's Changed" by Lonestar because word park is used in this song.

I hope is not "Everything's Changed" by Lonestar because word park is used in this song. Although the word 'park' is used in the song, it refers to the verb instead of the noun. ("Remember the plant where we used to park/that old drive-in's a new Walmart")

This may sound weird, but looking back I think I overranked She's Gonna Make It. I think I ranked all of his other songs super low (this was not a good year for Garth music for me) and felt kinda bad about it, so I ranked that one a little higher to sort of make up for it. I don't know haha, it is the only Garth song on this list that I actually enjoy.
