I am excited to announced my next new rankdown. I was going to do the late 90s/early 2000s Dance crossovers one now but I still don't have enough songs to do it yet so I'll do this one first. It's the 90's Eurodance Rankdown (Vol. 1). These were some of the biggest Eurodance hits all over the world and a number of these either crossed over on to U.S. radio and/or were big in the clubs. Additional ones will be happening in the future. I was going to do a long one with like 50 songs but I thought it might be too much right now with some of the longer rankdowns like the Janet, Madonna, and Mariah ones and those year end ones. It's a simple one with just 20 songs. All 20 songs are in their hit, well-known single versions. Please PM your submissions to me by September 30. List of songs: Ace Of Base - Beautiful Life Amber - This Is Your Night Billie Ray Martin - Your Loving Arms Captain Hollywood Project - More & More Corona - The Rhythm Of The Night Crush - Jellyhead Culture Beat - Mr. Vain Fun Factory - Close To You Gina G - Ooh Ahh...Just A Little Bit Haddaway - What Is Love KWS - Please Don't Go La Bouche - Be My Lover Livin' Joy - Dreamer No Mercy - Where Do You Go Real McCoy - Another Night Rednex - Cotton Eye Joe Rozalla - Everybody's Free (To Feel Good) Snap! - Rhythm Is A Dancer The Original - I Luv U Baby 2 Unlimited - Get Ready For This
Notes: Some of these did have more than one version that was popular, like in the case of Corona's "The Rhythm Of The Night." The Real Rapino remix was what was released in the U.S., however, the regular original radio edit was what was in the video and was more popular internationally. For Billie Ray Martin's "Your Loving Arms", it will be the original version and not the Junior Vasquez mix which went on to get airplay in the U.S. later on in its run. And for the 2 Unlimited song, it will be the full vocal version (aka the Rap Version) that was released later on and not the original instrumental version. For Snap!'s "Rhythm Is A Dancer", it's going to be the 7" Edit from the video, not that other longer version that appeared on some compilations and albums with 2 rap verses. And for No Mercy's "Where Do You Go", it's the original radio version, not the one in the video without the 2nd verse. And for Culture Beat's "Mr. Vain", it's the Special Radio Edit and not the version in the video (a unique edit of the album version). YouTube playlist: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXqRf9NV0nvgp-7He3YCIXT34pyLZzKS2 (let me know if any of them are geo-blocked so I can find a work around for you)
(a number of these are not available in their original hit versions on Spotify so there will be no playlist for that) {Tags}
If you're not tagged, you may still participate. And if you were tagged and do not wish to participate, let me know so I can remove you from the future reminders and things.

Oh my.
Few music-related things get me more nostalgic than 90's Eurodance. This is a must complete for me.

I am in. But just that many songs? Weren't there more? As a lifelong Eurodance fan, I have amassed a rather large collection of them. This is just a teeny tiny amount of the songs. I just selected 20 of the more well known ones for this first one to keep it more manageable. I shall do more of them based on response in the future. I have a late 90s/early 2000s Dance Crossovers one coming next month. That one shall have 25 to 40 songs.

Hell yea!! Where is Eiffel - blue? Unless you counting that as a 00s song. That will be in the Late 90s/Early 2000s Crossover one along with all those Alice Deejay, ATC, Sylver, Lasgo, Gigi D'Agostino, Sonique, etc. ones.

How am I supposed to pick between some of these?!?!?!?!? Hell yea!! Where is Eiffel - blue? Unless you counting that as a 00s song. That will be in the Late 90s/Early 2000s Crossover one along with all those Alice Deejay, ATC, Sylver, Lasgo, Gigi D'Agostino, Sonique, etc. ones. OMG, I hope Ian Van Dahl and 4 Strings make the list!!!! I stanned for them so hard in 04-05 when I hated the Crunk n' B on the radio

I just have to figure out which 4 Strings song to pick since "Take Me Away (Into The Night)" and "Diving" are both so good. I love "Daylight" which was their first U.S. single but it isn't all that well-known. I have the 12" single for that. There will be Dee Dee and Fragma on it too.

You pick some of the more well-known Eurodance songs and yet there's NOT. ONE. AQUA. SONG.
This list is invalid. :sip2: Add another 10 plz.

Definitely IN!!! I haven't heard 3 songs of the list, and a couple ones I just heard for the 1996 RD. A few comments: - I dislike No Mercy's version because I loved La Bouche's version so much!! - Several of these songs reached #1 in my personal chart... few other dance songs of the 1990s (I guess they are all Euro-Dance?) I sort of miss: Love You More, It's A Fine Day, Tribal Dance, Get Into Trance, Slave to the Music, Run to Me, It's My Life, Around the World, Tonight is the Night, Saturday Night; guilty pleasure from Italy: Yellow Polka Dot Bikini; guilty pleasure from Spain: Asi Me Gusta A Mi; and a solid one from Spain Autismo. - For the 00s: Darude, Paul Oakenfold (Southern Sun!), Safri Duo, Sash!, Gala Look forward to doing the ranking and participating in the discussion

Can we do Twilight Zone for the 2 unlimited song please? It's already in the Vol 2 rankdown of this series which I am planning to do in October. You pick some of the more well-known Eurodance songs and yet there's NOT. ONE. AQUA. SONG. This list is invalid. :sip2: Add another 10 plz. "Barbie Girl" will be in Vol. 2 and possibly in the Late 90s/Early 2000s Dance Crossovers one.

I only know around 7 of these based on the titles, but I just downloades them all. I love Eurodance so i want to try. Vengaboys is in both of the next two rankdowns.

So glad you included "I Luv U Baby" on this one.
Yay Fragma and 4 Strings on the next one (hope its "Diving")! Hope to see Lasgo, In-Grid, Milky, Sash!, Despina Vandi and ATB in there too. Maybe "Summer Of Love" by Ondina. Early Basement Jaxx should definitely be in that mix.
