Voted for Carrie. "Jesus" is such an epic debut single from her, and really started her career in a big way!
Also, I can't believe Martina got a Grammy nom for "I Still Miss Someone"... That song was from 2005! And "Anyway" was such a massively well-received and critically-acclaimed song, you would think that would have been nominated if they were going to nominate a Martina song!

I voted for Leann Rimes. "Somethings Gotta Give" is just such a fun and quirky song. I do love "Jesus Take the Wheel" but radio butchered that song so much into the ground and now when it comes on I quickly change the channel.

"Anyway" from what I recall wasn't eligible for the 2007 Grammys.

I'm happy to see her get a nod, but "I Still Miss Someone" is one of my least favorite Martina singles. Tbh they should have just given a Grammy to the Timeless album and given the 5th song spot to Sara Evans "Cheatin'" or "Coalmine" Lol

This is a solid group of songs, but it's so obviously Carrie Underwood without question, lol.

My heart wants to choose I Still Miss Someone but my mind tells me that Grammy voters got it right by picking Jesus Take the Wheel.

I'll give this one to Carrie, but I was also a fan of Gretchens song. Looking back at 2006 in certainly wasn't a signifact year overall for female vocalists in country music.

The whole nomination thingy was unnecessary. They should've just given her the award
