Well, of course it's clean - it's the studio acapella.

Haha...look at all your connections Jamie, celebrity-stalking and sending messages via MySpace does not equal "connections".

to keep this on topic, i also sent the leona acapella to dj escape( i doubt he considers it stalking since i reviewed his last cd for the magazine and has sent me several of his newly-released mixes since then. ) Maybe if Escape does it, he'll do it with Johnny Vicious or Dom Capello so it'll be a nice emotional, tribal mix.

ok i have now emailed the acapella to: tony moran tony's bff aimee warren rigg jody den broeder manny lehman ralphi rosario scotty k peter rauhofer dj paulo tracy young chris cox eddie baez you'd think at least one of them would like the song enough to do a killer unofficial! Oh gosh, I really hope at least one of them could do it! I love the Nevins mix, but I think it could really get a better treatment by one of them. (especially Chris Cox and Tony.)

Ralphi said he isn't a fan of the song, so we won't be expecting a mix from him. ballads really aren't his thing anyway :( Oh well. He'd probably go all house on it like with "Irreplaceable", "Taking Chances", etc.

Hey, it's Shane from JustCircuit~
You know, Joey truly DOES have the connections he claims....moreso than most. If they aren't the ones he already has, it's the ones we give him. He knows his music and has the right attitude to write about it. That's why we have him onboard as our music editor.
With that said, the rudeness to him is unnecessary. It is, indeed, the artists who seek HIM out these days. He is no stalker of anyone.
We're proud to have him with us at the world's favorite Circuit informational portal....JustCircuit.com, JustCircuit.MAG and JustCircuit LIVE!

Hey Joey, what's about Joe Bermudez? Is he also on your "mailing-list"? I think, he also could do a great mix of BL... ms.

BTW I did send our friend DJ Michaelangelo the pella too and he planned to put it over the almighty instrumental mix that was on the "bleeding love" cover that perfectbeat released as a cd single. Almighty is not exactly my cup of tea, but I am anxious to hear what he comes up with(it is quite a logical choice for a "mashup") I already did that one. It was a nightmare to do as I have zero musical training. I have usually found it easier to do a mash when just messing around randomly and getting the keys to match. Considering that the keys were relatively similar, I had a hard time getting it work. Timestretching the vocals was relatively easy though.

I'm soooo sick of it! Get that b**** some Tampax and a straitjacket!" *hiss* My group overheard that and we were just laughing so hard.

Hey Joey, what's about Joe Bermudez? Is he also on your "mailing-list"? I think, he also could do a great mix of BL... ms. I liked Joe until I heard him live and thought he was just TERRIBLE. He didn't even play his own mixes(even when I brought up specific ones I loved like hint hint please play.) After that night, I have never even thought about him again...even though he is really cute(but straight I think) I'm sure you can find his email or myspace though and send him the pella! BTW I did send our friend DJ Michaelangelo the pella too and he planned to put it over the almighty instrumental mix that was on the "bleeding love" cover that perfectbeat released as a cd single. You could sometimes hear the timestretch though.

I tried a mashup of the acappella over the Dr. Octavo instrumental of Emma Bunton's "Free Me". It sorta worked, but to do it properly, you'd need every single individual harmony line separate because some of the chords just don't work over the instrumental.

You actually left in dissonant parts? I mentioned earlier how I put the Bleeding Love acappella over the Dr. Octavo instrumental of Emma Bunton's "Free Me" but I didn't finish it precisely because of the dissonant spots.

Well, once I realized how it clashed slightly on the chorus it was too late to start all over with another instrumental. Besides, I've been waiting ages to use that Club 69 bed for SOMETHING fun and creative. A couple fellow DJ's who threw this down for their crowds last weekend had positive things to say, so I guess it can't be all THAT bad

If we had the individual vocal parts (lead, harmonies, etc.) all separate, then it'd be a lot easier, because you could take out the vocal lines causing the dissonant harmony. Unless of course, it's the main vocal that's dissonant because then I guess you'd be out of luck. :( EDIT: Listened to the full edit (rather than just the preview on DramaMix) and it actually sorta works. :)

A bit dissonant in some parts, but I thought the dark, wailing intensity of Peter's production fit perfectly with the tone of Leona's lyrics. For the most part, it works. In a club environment or on a big soundsystem, those parts may not be noticed as much.

The Alexander & Mark VDH NYC Pride Mix is the fierce club anthem some of us have been waiting for. It's almost 10 minutes of pure circuit bliss!

There's also a brilliant mashup that Trypsin did with "Thriller." I played it last night, and the crowd went insane.
