This will be a test to see if there is interest in other polls about voters getting winners right or wrong. n Let me know if you guys want to do it or not. The number of participants could also speak for itself. I'll start with the CMA Album of the Year for 1985.

This probably should have been Alabama's based on how big the album was.

I think George easily had the most cohesive album from beginning to end.

I'm only familiar with Reba's album so I'm not really competent to vote. But I like My Kind of Country very much with How Blue being on of the first Reba's songs I liked. And I also like threads like this one so keep making them :)

Voted for George's album as I'm more familiar with the record and the songs off it

based on the singles and everything I feel the right album won. Alabama and The Judds would be second and third for me.

Lol I'm not familiar with pretty much anything from the '80s other than George and Reba...and even then George is the only one whose '80s albums I have listened to. (I am still in the process of obtaining all of Reba's albums, and haven't been able to find physical copies of any of her '80s ones yet.)
But still, "Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind" is a very strong album, and I think that all of the singles from it are more relevant today than just about anything else from the other albums listed, except maybe "How Blue". So George is the worthy winner, imo!

It goes to show you how strong country music was in 1985. ALL albums nominated deserved to win. I'll go with the winner, George Strait. Coincidentally, this was the first album he produced.
