"Boring" winner, but I love "Savior", so I'm not going to complain too much about it. Besides, it means that #2 is the last P-P-P-P-PERFECT RANKING!
By the by, if Doc had placed "Diamond Eyes" sixty spots higher, "Diamond Eyes" would have won this because of its five #1 votes.
Food for thought. :kii:

2. Your Decision - Alice in Chains So close. Oh well, but I actually think this song has more of an Active vibe than "Savior". Still; I couldn't rank it any higher than #38, because of the awesomeness of the other 37 songs.

Oh come the fuck on
yeah, neither song is close to being the band's best, but Your Decision didn't win a rankdown yet

I like how rowellfarm is revealing the exact same way that Daryl does, haha. Just been trying to keep things consistent, as I am a guest host.

Eh...I'm fine with this. Savior's a great song, even if it does win like every rankdown, it doesn't annoy me like Foo Fighters top 2s.

1. "Savior" - Rise Against Didn't "rope" win two rankdowns too. Anyway, this is a great song, and you can't deny that.

This was a great rankdown. Who else can say they liked 85% of the songs on this list. Anyway, The MV and especially the album art was awesome addition. The statistics portion was interesting too. great job hosting.

The top four were all in the mix to win. Through 3 entries, "Your Decision" was in the lead. "Savior" took over after 6 lists were received and kept it the rest of the way. Personally, I would have preferred something other than "Savior" to win. It is a great song, but I like other songs getting a chance at the title.

Thank you to those who participated in this Rankdown. You guys are what makes all of this fun! I hope I did a reasonably good job at guest hosting. I tried to keep everything mostly the same way that Daryl has done it. I did mix it up a bit with the addition of single/album artwork and some more hints/stats along the way. Thanks again to Daryl for all he has done with these Rankdowns. I have an even greater appreciation for all of the time and effort he has put in to make all of these Rock Rankdowns happen. I might have not commented frequently throughout but I followed along closely and you did a fantastic job hosting rowell!
Savior isn't a surprising winner and I wouldn't have changed much in that regard (probably right around #10-15 for me on this list, "Diamond Eyes" would have been maybe a bit higher but obviously not enough to change things.

Thank you for your excellent job hosting this!
This was my first time doing an Active rankdown; I tend not to be an Active fan these days, but I had already heard at least 80% of these songs (I used to be a heavy Active listener back in 2010...not to mention that like half of these songs were also in the Alt rankdown so I had them fresh in my mind), and I had also been following the previous Active rankdowns so I felt like actually participating in one. This was definitely a fun list to make even if I only actually liked my top 25 or so (and "Snuff"). I'll try the '09 list as well since I'm heavily familiar with most of what's on there too.

If Pulse ever had a family outing, we would all be going to a Chevelle concert. It seems like the only thing we could all agree on.

American Idiot I love you as a poster, but you have to stop tanking Alice In Chains songs. I will seriously pay $20 a song if you stop tanking them.

Good job on hosting, Ryan. Like the addition of the single covers as well.
On a side note, to make it easier to include the photos, add these "[img][/img]" and include the image url in between the two tags. It's easier than uploading each cover 100 times imo.

Honestly, 2010 was the worst year of my life. My romantic and professional lives were both turned upside-down that year, and by that November I just checked out mentally. It took a couple of years to care about anything again, and I still haven't fully recovered to how things were before, though I am getting close. This is why "Your Decision" was my #1 in this rankdown, because the tone of the song captured my overall mood that year, and the lyrics applied to my romantic life very well.

That's odd to me, because you're the one who actually lived through it, so you experienced all of it firsthand. For the rest of us whippersnappers, it's just a chapter in the music history book

Not really. I mean grunge really rose to it's highest popularity in the early 90's when I was around 7-9 years old. I didn't really get into music until '94 or '95 or so when bands like Green Day and The Offspring were becoming big. I actually hated Pearl Jam until around the mid 00's and was a decent-sized Soundgarden/Nirvana/STP fan, but still today wouldn't put any of them in my Top 50 bands of all-time.
