I also think that Promiscuous is WAY too low on this list.

I swore that "I Gotta Feelin" would be #1 but I like "Hey Ya" more so I'm not complaining.

Lose Yourself should've been #1, but Hey Ya is certainly top 5. I agree that Promiscuous is too low, at least in Brazil, it's the most popular 2006 song on radio nowadays. Bad Romance is way too high, there's no way that it's more iconic than I Gotta Feeling, Crazy In Love, Yeah!, etc. Gold Digger is the only song that was top 10 on the decade-end Hot 100 and VH1's top 100 2000s songs, now it's #8 on this list. Songs that I think that should've made the list: Dilemma, Big Girls Don't Cry, Candy Shop, Empire State Of Mind, Tik Tok, Work It, Maria Maria, Butterfly.

But if they put Bad Romance, they should have put this one too

Yeah! should have been #1. It's the most iconic and most well known big hit from the 2000s. Also, Crazy is way too high and not even all that iconic.

Good list. In my opinion, Bad Romance is too high..#3 based on 2 months? Yeah, that song is iconic, but it belongs to 2010s. Agree on Promiscuous, also "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi deserves top 20 at least. I would add Say It Right, Hung Up, Use Somebody, You're Beautiful...

gravey did you compile this list? If so, how, and based on what criteria?
I guess I think the ranking is overall pretty good. Surprised that a lot of people have a problem with Promiscuous not being high enough, however I am just fine where it is or wouldn't be disappointed if it didn't make the list at all. Not only was it a terrible song, its message was terrible. There's also some songs I would've placed a little higher, especially Christina's Beautiful (if Toxic was #16, it could have been at least that high). There's also a lot of songs on the list that were big hits when they came out, but weren't necessarily critically acclaimed or seem to stand the test of time and what I would call iconic, like I Gotta Feeling, I Kissed a Girl, Crank That Soulja Boy, Run It, etc. Like, who really jams out to I Gotta Feeling anymore? (although I don't really go out that much anymore, so maybe tons of people still do lol!)

Not a terrible list, but there are a few noticeable exclusions (My Humps, Big Girls Don't Try, Crawling, Work It, Tik Tok if you're counting it for the 2000s) and a few super random picks higher up (Bad Romance, We Beling Together, and Ride Wit Me shouldn't be that high and Ignition and Family Affair shouldn't even be on there at all imo). Also no way Bring Me To Life in only in the 60s, it should be at least top 20 because of the memes around it. It's fine overall though, and I think Hey Ya is a worthy enough #1.
