Sunblock "I'll Be Ready" (Baywatch Theme)

I meant to post this last year but just never did. This is one of the many many many (almost 10!) different versions of the "Baywatch Theme" fighting for chart supremacy.

The Sunblock (Swedish DJs Martin Pihl and Magnus Nordin) version has one important element to its advantage, it samples the original Baywatch Theme, entitled "I'm Always Here", performed by ex-Survivor vocalist Jim Jamison. Yes, this is yet another song given the Eric Prydz treatment, but who cares, really? It works and it's catchy as hell. It's cheese, yes, but it's good cheese! Sunblock's version was signed to Stockholm Records (a Universal Music label, home to The Cardigans) in Sweden, and Stockholm/Manifest in the UK. It'd be very interesting to see if any Universal Music label picks it up for the US.

Take the theme from Baywatch, remix it, add in a spanking new video of the hottest Swedish girls you can find, a sprinkle of muscle bound guys, and a dash of extra sexy swimwear, for a delicious recipe of sex, fun and Christmas sun...it might be minus five outside, but this is HOT HOT HOT!!! Martin and Magnus are the producers behind the track and the package boasts mixes from the mighty Steve Mac, Black Legend vs J-Reverse and the Dallas Superstars.

"Macarena" and Cascada are BAD for me. Sunblock is just a cute, fun song.

For those who didn't know, Sunblock is just another alias for M12. M12 has remixed in the past A*Teens, Lutricia McNeal, Ace Of Base, Da Buzz, Dana International and Therese (under her Drömhus moniker).

Ha ha, Printy! I really don't mind "I'll Be Ready", but I definitely agree with you in regards to "First Time". I think there was so much potential there, but the end result just doesn't work.
