I think this is the last promo song and we get single #2 on November 3rd. That's great. We'll still have 11 new songs to listen to. That's as many as we had on '1989' before it dropped (excluding the deluxe edition bonus tracks).

I'll pass on the fan reactions and wait for the unbiased reviews. Well, these fans are familiar with some of the best quality-wise pop songs of the last decade so their huge expectations must've been fulfilled. That being said, I'm kinda 50/50 because even though Taylor never dissappoints, I can't see where this is going judging from the clip we've heard and I'm afraid it might be my WTNY of "reputation".

If Taylor took a sh!t on a backbeat and played it to them personally they would be on Twitter/Tumblr saying it cured their cancer and cleared their acne.

Well mine would probably be something like 1 to Taylor Rae Jepsen.

The music in the snippet sounds like an underground Mario Bros. level.

I take fan response of a song from their fave with a grain of salt. They're the most delusional (all fanbases, not just Taylor) and will jerkoff to anything they hear ahead of the public.

The song is track #8 on the album and 3:29 in length.

Yeah...no. This is a cute album track and nothing more than that. All of those stans were just spewing s**t. I'd be shocked if this is the actual second single, it sounds like a promo single to me. Surely they have something better lined up for the ACTUAL single.
Even though I've grew to enjoy RFI (and LWYMMD occasionally)...This era is not shaping up well for her discography and it's disappointing. I really thought Red and 1989 were full of quality material and these three tracks for Rep show a decline in quality tbh.

Wow. She's 3 for 3. And I mean she's released 3 consistently bad songs.
This is the same girl that wrote gems like "Enchanted" and "All too Well"?!!? Unfortunately, she seems like she's going down the Avril Lavigne route where instead of maturing with her fanbase, she regresses and becomes more immature to appeal to an even younger crowd. In fact, this song sounds like a 2007 Avril Lavigne reject if we're being honest. This definitely has to be an album track, because there's no way that this is strong enough to be single #2.
I also really am not a fan of any of the songs' production. It sounds like she's trying to sing along to urban beats that ultimately sound kinda dated and like they were made by a 40 year old trying to be "hip".
Taylor, as a longtime fan, I'm disappointed in you! You're so much better than this!

This is alright; it’s not a game changer or anything. I actually think Ready For It is way better! They should just push that!

Lyrics: A lot of youtube views already, I just don't like the actually instrumental production of her new album it sounds like a 13 year old made it just to tell people he is a producer off of garage band.

I really wish the chorus was stronger. It's dragging down the rest which has some strong lyrics. The whole "cuz look at your face" is just weak.

Is everything on this album supposed to be self-parody? If so, I think I'm checking out.

This is fine. The production and her vocal choices are overly saccharine and if not for the subject matter, it would fit in perfectly on a mid-00s Vanessa Hudgens/Ashley Tisdale LP (not that that's a problem #queens), but this isn't current in any way. It's so-so filler.

This feels like album filler. In other words, I don't like it all that much, it's a disappointment for me.

WEAK!
Reminds me of "On My Mind" by Ellie Goulding.

This is filler. Weak single choice if it is a single. I can somewhat understand the Ellie "On My Mind" comparison, but that song was better. I'm not impressed with her choruses on this album so far. She's usually pretty good with crafting good, catchy singles.
This just kinda sounds like a Kesha demo from 2010.

I really wanted to love this, but I just... nothing it. It happens. The prechorus sounds like it could be something but the chorus just deflates the entire song. She's 0/3 for me this era, which is crazy.

Whatchu doin, girl? This is worse than WTNY... this is not what she needs now. Let's see if this is another promo single with iHeart radio debut or not....

Another dud.
If they're aiming to kill any hype and momentum 1989 left behind, they're on the good way!
