It's a cute track with relatable lyrics. Quality-wise, though, this is a disappointment. Guess I really should lower my bar for Taylor this era.

I like this. It's not a surefire hit or anything, but it's good.
I think he always expect something huge from these big artists, but this is just as inoffensive and light as almost everything trending right now.

Well, I'm in the minority. I think it's cute with a fun sing-a-long chorus. I'm not mad at it.
It's not the best thing she's ever done but it's far from the worst IMO.

I am not sure, but I don't think DJ's get to make the call on what songs are played on their station (for the most part). You're correct, they don't. On-air DJs are given already curated playlists by a music department. DJs are there to talk, music departments are there to handle playlisting (among other things). Well then, I guess the DJ will not be happy when (and if) she has to play this. :kii:

Intereresting that this is (seemingly, based on the reviews I've read) the most critically praised song thus far.

This song is a prime example of my main issue with Taylor as an artist. Musically, it's pretty good, but lyrically it is SO BAD. The idea of the song isn't terrible, but the execution is way off. She has her moments when she's a brilliant writer ("Blank Space", "All Too Well", "White Horse"), but she has SO many songs that make me cringe so hard at how bad some (read: not all) of her lyrics in some of her songs can be.
Hard pass on this one. Just when I was actually getting slightly excited for this album due to me somehow really liking both "Look What You Made Me Do" and "Ready For It"...

The verses and chorus remind me of Send My Love (To Your New Lover) and the pre chorus reminds me of Roulette

This reminds me of "Out of the Woods" in some sense (OOTW is the better song). I like it, but nothing from reputation so far has yet to blow me away and I have yet to become completely obsessed (I was completely OBSESSED with "Shake It Off" last time around) with anything (although I love "...Ready for It?" quite a bit). Let's see if this grows on me.

Honestly this is #3 of the songs released so far for me, but I still like it. I really do hope it's an album track tho lol.

This is ok but where is the massive song we're expecting team Taylor to unleash? 3rd song in and LWYMMD is the stronger.

If I'm being honest, her lyrics were never that great for her poppier material. And now that she's exclusively a pop star, that's even more apparent. Don't get me wrong: I love to hate Taylor. But, I sometimes prefer to hate liking some of Taylor's output. Maybe this is a grower.

Kanye did it better on "Gorgeous" on MBDTF; available on Spotify, iTunes, and your local retail locations. Hell, X Ambassadors did it better with the promo single from their debut album VHS, also available everywhere music is consumed.

It's definitely growing on me. I think we're treating this as a single way too much, this is just 1 of 15 album tracks. Not perfect, not terrible either now that I listened to this a few times.

Sounds like album filler. It's nice, but my least favourite of the 3 songs released so far.

I think moreso than the actual song, I'm a little turned off by how out-of-theme this is.
Both LWYMMD and RFI are thematically darker, harder, and are interesting, even if they land a bit unevenly in terms of being pop smashes. Fortunately this is track number 8.
I would be very confused if this was the second single.

Not here for it, it feels like a terrible reject 1989 track in sound and lyrically it's a low for T Swift
With that said, RFI and LWYMMD are faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar superior tracks

No doubt RFI and Look are superior to this! And most of the 1989 album is superior to those 2 songs...
It doesn't feel like a 1989 reject to me though, this is much more private than any song on 1989. I agree for the lyric part though, some lyrics are so cringy, it's worse than Bad Blood.

#1 iTunes. I'm happy for her considering this is a promo single. Still not feeling this song. Are we really surprised this is #1 on Itunes?

Are we really surprised this is #1 on Itunes? Considering this song's quality, I'm quite surprised. It could've been 30 seconds of silence with her saying "BOO!" at the end and the Swifties would've sent it to #1.
